Naoshima Accommodation Menyado Ura Reviews

Located above a delicious ramen restaurant (property of the owners). Very well located with a bus stop for local buses in front of the door step. Very good price. The restaurant is also open during the evening which is rare in Naoshima.

Really nice people attending and making our stay very comfortable. We also could have lunch and dinner in the same accommodation, which is very convenient in this small island!! It is not a four star level, as the majority of accommodations in Naoshima, but it is all very clean, comfortable and quiet. Thanks a lot to the kind hosts!!

This little guesthouse is simple but so well priced and met all our needs - mostly its close proximity (15 minutes walk) to both Honnura port area and the start of the Benesse house art zone, the main locations for the absolutely amazing art installations on Naoshima. Room was well sized, clean, secure and warm. The host was very friendly - he even gave us a lift into the Benesse area to give us a great head start on our day, and securely stored our luggage for the day. I would definitely stay here again. For those coming to Naoshima I would recommend staying 2 nights so you are not rushing your time on this beautiful serene island and make sure you book various galleries well in advance, they sell out even in off season!!

It was very troublesome to arrive at the hotel very late. The old man downstairs has been waiting for me to arrive at this hotel. He is directing me to a very good restaurant upstairs. I am looking forward to coming here.

The only thing listed as facilities and amenities was Wi-Fi, but it actually had quite a lot. There was no kitchen, but there was a refrigerator large enough for a single person, an electric kettle, a microwave, and even a washing machine (fee required). However, there were no dishes or crockery. You could boil water and there was stick coffee, but there were no cups, so it would be better to prepare paper cups or something. Also, please bring your own pajamas. The room was very comfortable. I would like to use it again. Thank you to the owner for your help.
