The most cost-effective hotel in Sun Moon Lake. The first choice for saving money. We booked a public bathroom, and there are three shower rooms for girls, so there is usually no need to queue. The room facilities are simple and basically sufficient. Convenient transportation, there is a bus around the lake across the street, but the bus is very rare, so you have to search Google to confirm the time. There is a lively snack street next to it, and it is next to the Ita Thao Pier. It is very close to take a boat, rent a car, and take a cable car, and you can walk there.

The location is excellent, only 100 meters away from the bus stop around the lake. You can catch the bus right after waking up and going downstairs, which is a big plus! The area is lively, with many choices for food and drink. You can walk around Sun Moon Lake and then look for food in the shopping district next to the Ita Thao Visitor Center at night. Although it is a shared bathroom, the washing area is clean and tidy, the hot water is very hot, and towels, slippers, water dispenser, TV, air conditioning are all available. There is also a washing machine available for use. The price is impeccable. If I have the chance to go to Sun Moon Lake again, I would like to continue to choose Sunflower Youth Hostel.

Location is perfect, but keep couple things in mind. For all rooms with shared bathroom. There is only 1 toilet to use which is equiped with one of the showers. This shower is the only decent shower stall from all 6 showers with enough space to put your towel or clothing etc. The other douche stalls are equiped with a hook, but your clothing gets wet.
For the rest the rooms were fine for me, but the beds are quite hard. Also the window doesnt block any noise from outside. Which is quite annoying in the beginning of the evening when there is still traffic on the street.
But price quality is alright in my opinion, you get what you pay for!
