Seamless check in and check out. Very efficient and polite ground staff. The hotel provides a very peaceful and comfortable environment. The room is comfortable and I enjoyed sipping a cup of hot tea while admiring the amazing view with the ventilation window opened to enjoy the cold air. Toilet is fitted with Grohe accessories and the rain shower is so comfortable.

Everything was great except the pool. It really needs some sprucing up as it was not worthy of the Intercontinental status. Shoutout to Jason for his excellent personalized service!

We got amazing holiday during Chinese new year in Intercontinental Nanjing, Check-in staff was so helpfull. Breakfasts and all meals were delicious.

According to local - best hotel in Nanjing. Excellent check in smiling service - maybe am lucky, check out procedure - not friendly at all. Front office needs more training. Room, breakfast - all good. Room TV - very very very old, needs a super urgent upgrade, TV made in China - today terms is not expensive $$$. Take off old TV & bad check out service, a recommended hotel to stay

Great location with amazing city views. Very unsatisfied with the room service (bed was not made up etc..) and with the restaurant Steak House ( very bad and slow service, served bread was still frozen, and the cutlets and glasses were not at the right level for a luxury restaurant)

My recent stay at the InterContinental Nanjing during a father-son trip had its highlights, but there were also a few areas that could be improved. The room layout was excellent for our needs. It featured a separate living room and bedroom, which allowed my son to have his own space to play while I could relax or work in peace. The bathtub overlooking the lake was a lovely touch and provided a relaxing way to unwind after a day of exploring. The view of the lake from the room was stunning and added a serene atmosphere to our stay. However, I did notice some stains on the floor, which detracted from the overall cleanliness and luxury feel of the room. While it didn’t ruin our stay, it was something that stood out and could be addressed to maintain the hotel’s high standards. The location of the hotel was a bit of a downside. While the lakeside setting was beautiful, there wasn’t much around in terms of dining or entertainment options. We had to travel a fair distance to find good restaurants, which was inconvenient, especially with a child. On the positive side, the staff were friendly and accommodating, making our stay comfortable. The breakfast buffet was also a highlight, offering a wide variety of options that catered to both my son’s and my preferences. Overall, the InterContinental Nanjing provided a pleasant stay with its spacious room layout and beautiful lake views. However, the lack of nearby dining options and the cleanliness issue in the room were noticeable drawbacks. The location was excellent, and the open facilities were very good. I understand it's a "China thing" that prevents outdoor swimming pools from being open to the public other than July - August - but it's ridiculous and one that a 5-star hotel should change. You advertise having an indoor and outdoor pool; however, 85% of the entire year, it is closed.... so how can you say you have an outdoor pool? It's false advertising. It was 32 degrees this weekend and perfect weather for the outdoor pool, but you didn't have it open - thus, I took away two stars on facilities. The service in the restaurant was EXCELLENT on the 45th floor, extremely good and well worth the 5stars; the front desk people also on the 1st floor incredible; however, the service in the (the indoor!!!) swimming pool was extremely average - feeling like being served from student intern vs. any 5star customer service at all. The service in the bar on the 78th floor was highly average. also, for 5star, with us having to ask for drinks and not a single smile when serving the drinks, while the 78th-floor views are breathtaking, the service was let down. Last but not least, our parents-in-law traveled with us and rang the front desk for help with the TV. They rang twice, and they were waiting for someone to help them. I have stayed at Intercontinental Hotels in other locations, and the service is always very good. While some departments at this location were good, they needed to be more balanced by the inconsistency of the other departments.

Very connectable and accessible to most attractions. Concierge not helpful at all in advising guests on attractions visit although most the attractions are easily accessible.

Great Location, just across from a cool little period garden area and walking distance to just about everything, drum tower across the street, lots of Salted Duck everywhere ... great place to stay and the view is unbeatable from the higher floors, will definitely stay again

No one replied to email despite you sent twice. Broken coffee machine in the room, asked for help, took half an hour to resolve. Not very satisfied with the service.

The hotel is excellent. Very clean, beautiful rooms with great views. The staff is friendly and always helpful. Highly recommend.

The hotel is not completely new, but the view is stunning. I would stay here again.
