We stayed for two nights and booked Kaiseki cuisine for dinner at the hotel on the first night. The kaiseki cuisine provided by the hotel is satisfactory in terms of dishes and portion size, and the restaurant environment is very spacious.

This hotel gave me a very big surprise, no matter the environment, service, facilities and food are super standard, the favorite is that its hot spring facilities are large and comfortable, there are flower hot springs, all-you-can-drink Japanese wine, are extraordinary experiences, very recommended!

The room was clean and had a good environment. The view outside the window was beautiful. The private bath in the room was large and spacious enough for two people to bathe at the same time. The breakfast/dinner provided by the hotel was rich and delicious. It is an older hot spring hotel. If you stop by Kotohira-machi, you can try it out. Due to old age, the corridors do not look that clean, but the overall rooms are actually okay. There is an indoor hot spring on the sixth floor and an open-air hot spring on the rooftop on the eighth floor. You can take a dip if you like, which is good. I made an appointment at a relatively cheap price of more than 300 yuan, so I can give it a try.

Hotel is new, clean and comfortable. 4 private 24hrs onsen and 1 each ladies /Men onsen. It locates at the starting point of Konpira temple, so you can go back to hotel and take a rest after visit. Room is a bit small ( for the smallest room type) compare with other Onsen Hotel, suggest to book a larger room so it will be easier for luggage’s. Suggested to book package incl breakfast n dinner, as there is not many restaurants for choosing around these.

It takes about ten minutes to walk to JR Kotohira Station or the nearest Kototetsu Station. There is a parking lot for self-driving cars. There are public spaces, a kitchen, and a large bath with a view on the second floor of the hotel. However, due to limited time, I was unable to use the facilities. The room is quite large for one person. You can choose air conditioning/heating. There is a TV, a refrigerator, and a bathtub in the toilet. It takes about 20-30 minutes to walk from the hotel to the entrance of Kotohira-gu Shrine (excluding the steps inside the temple) You can also enjoy the starry sky at night at the door The overall price is affordable and affordable. Recommended to travelers who are willing to live in Kotohira Town.

This hot spring hotel is situated very close to the Kotohira train station. Our booking included set dinner and breakfast buffet. Food is delicious and you get pretty full. Room is spacious and air-con is cool which is crucial during the hot summer. The hot spring is segregated between men and women; opens until midnight. There is a free shuttle bus available which takes you to and from the train station. I arrived at Kotohira around noon and that morning I had the hotel staff where I stayed in another town to call this onsen hotel to pick me up. Very happy with my stay!
