Amazing resort style onsen. You will feel like having entered a luxurious home from the time you enter to the time you leave.

One of the best ryokan we have been to. Excellent service, ambience, great kaiseki dinner, best yukata we have ever been offered. Only downside for some is that it is in a very isolated area.

I really like this hotel. My family and I had a great time here. The staff were very friendly and kind. I want to visit again. You can see different birds and animals in the hotel lobby🤩🤩🤩  The room is spacious and comfortable, and the staff will carefully introduce the different parts of the hotel to us Worth recommending!

The standard double bed type is neat and clean, and the entire building is carpeted. Indoor socks will be provided when you check in. There is a toilet in the room but no bathroom. You need to go to the large bathing area. The ability to see owls and provide meals are the main attractions of the hotel.

If it's a ryokan, it should be at least this good. The accommodations, hot spring facilities, friendly staff, taste and quality of food, 3 free drinks, art works, etc., everything was the best.

There is no elevator, and it's a bit tiring to climb up to the 3rd floor. 😅Other than that, I'm very satisfied.

It was a lovely inn with warm hospitality, just as its reputation suggests. The food, which was made with local ingredients, was also delicious. I felt bad about leaving some of the rice in a pot for dinner, so I only had a little, and they kindly accommodated my request to make onigiri rice balls with the rest. It's a little far from the scenic and tourist spots, but I think it's an inn worth staying at, even if you use it as a stopover.

Unforgettable hot springs in Hokkaido♨️ In addition to the 100% pure natural hot spring (hydrogen sulfate hydroxide spring), Yujuku Yumaki, the winning hot spring hotel in Yorogyu, is a top-notch hot spring hotel. The details of the rooms and the one-stop, two-food catering can be seen in its thoughtfulness. As soon as we arrived at the parking lot, a dedicated person came to greet us, help us drag our luggage, and carefully wipe the luggage wheels. We are very clean. There were our exclusive names on the shoe cabinets. After a quick glance, there were only two people who were not Japanese. This shows that Japanese people love this secret soup very much. As soon as you enter, you are led to the sofa area. There is also a free milk coffee drink area next to it, allowing travelers to enjoy it while checking in. It can be said that you are treated with courtesy from the moment you enter. Women who are particularly fond of yukata can also freely choose the yukata pattern and color they like! The hot springs at Yujuku Miyako are elegantly built beside a stream. The stream and the hot springs are separated by a stone wall, and are lined with green maple trees by the river. You can soak in the hot springs while watching the rapids of the stream, which is as pleasant as you can say. Cozy, this is a real hot spring by the stream! There is also a traditional mixed-gender soup here. The highlight of the evening is of course to see the owls by the stream. One stay, two meals is a great value for money, and it’s a great hot spring hotel!

We stayed for 2 nights and chose this resort for the wildlife. The checkin was efficient and they had English speaking staff. The room assigned was a Japanese style room with a sleeping n living area and lots of space for everything. The staff were friendly and helpful. The dinner meals were individually set for each room at the restaurant. The breakfast was a buffet and had many choices. While you had your meal you can enjoy the bird feeding session. We stay awake while waiting for the fish owl which appear about twice in the evening and early morning. We had to use the Onsen at 2am, just to keep ourselves awake during our wait. For the 2 days, we did not venture out of the lodge as we slept in the day and stay awake at night for the owl. There is ample carpark, coin operated laundry machine and lots of free coffee at the lobby.

We loved this place – in big part because of the amazing staff. They were friendly, efficient and helpful. Our room was great – very spacious and with its on onsen and a great view of the river. Breakfast buffet was great – offering some slightly western options and dinner was great – but totally Japanese and after a month of traveling we are a bit tired of it. The reason we were here was for the Blakiston’s Fish Owl which comes into feed most evenings – it was fantastic and worth the trip by itself.

Stayed 2 nights. The ryokan experience starts with being met in the car park, bags whisked away, shoes off at the entrance and slippers provided. Then an orientation with a very nice Vietnamese lady, one of the few members of staff who spoke English. We were given a detailed explanation of how to use the two different onsen, and lots of other info that you really need, because this is an experience like no other. The rooms are beautiful ( ours looked onto the stream), the (long and many) corridors are decorated with beautiful art and ikebana, and there are lots of drinks dispensers everywhere - the corn soup is delicious. The food was some of the finest we had anywhere during our 4 weeks travelling in Japan (including a couple of Michelin- starred restaurants), presented exquisitely, and wonderfully flavoured - a true feast over several courses and a couple of hours. Breakfast buffet equally memorable. We only went here to see the Blakiston's Fish owl, so the whole experience was a wonderful surprise - if you've seen the Studio Gibli film "Spirited Away" you will get a sense of what it was like. And we were the only westerners here, which was great, and only added to the sense of being on a different world. On that note, if you're an uptight westerner who doesn't like getting naked in front of strangers, you might struggle here - there are no showers or washing facilities in the rooms ( apart from a basin), only those in the onsen themselves. I don't think we would have chosen to go if we had understood this beforehand, but I'm SO glad we did go.

This hotel is very remote, there is no transportation, only taxi or car, I took a taxi for 12,000 yen and arrived at the hotel after 1 o'clock, the clerk who arrived at the back saw that a customer was coming and did not open the door, so I had no choice but to knock through the glass door to instruct him to open the door, I said that I can understand if I check in at 3 o'clock, let me sit on the bench outside the door, it's very cold outside, I asked if there is a sofa in the lobby, I said that I can't rest, I can't wait outside, I drooled and didn't take my luggage, the taxi driver couldn't watch either, how do you treat a customer, surely it's a customer who came to the hotel at 3 o'clock. After that, I contacted the app that I used to book the hotel and explained the situation, and when I went to the procedure at 3 o'clock, the hotel unilaterally canceled the order, did not allow me to check in, and said that I canceled the order that I paid for, the manager's wife is just exquisite, she has been to many countries around the world, and this hotel's price is 30,000 yen for a single room, with this kind of service, no wonder it has such a bad reputation, everyone should avoid this hotel and check in. And I arrived first, and when they arranged for me to go in, there was already someone sitting on the sofa and checking in, and I also talked about this issue when I saw other people's reviews. How can the guests who arrived after me go in first? I wasn't the last one to stay, but I saw people who reviewed the service as bad, and it's true that some of the service staff were cold. This has never happened before in other hot spring hotels. It's strange that such a remote hotel can't provide service, but they turn away customers like this, ignore the spirit of the contract, don't respect the customers, and still have people stay there.

A popular inn located in Yoroushi Onsen. I reserved a room facing the river and stayed there. There are plenty of common spaces such as the lobby and lounge, so you can relax anywhere you like outside of your room during your stay. The hot springs have plenty of open-air baths, and are comfortable overlooking the mountain stream. The food is a bit underrated, especially the breakfast buffet, which is too busy to relax. Overall, it's a nice inn, but there are a lot of guests with children, making it difficult for adults to spend some quiet time.

A family of three with a first grader stayed in a room with an open-air bath and a loft. The room has an open ceiling with a loft above, and has two beds. We laid out futons in the Japanese-style room downstairs, and there was plenty of space for the three of us. The river flowing right next to it could be seen from the large windows, and it was a very pleasant view. What was disappointing was the bathroom in the room. I was looking forward to the hot spring open-air bath, but the water was so lukewarm that I couldn't take a bath. I drained some of the hot water and adjusted it, but it didn't get hot at all. The open-air bath in the room has become just a decoration. On the other hand, the public bath was great. There were many open-air baths to enjoy, and some were right next to the river, making it very open and enjoyable. I went straight into the river from the bath, so my child went in, but it was really cold. Still, it was a wonderful and memorable bathing experience. The food was mediocre and mediocre. I thought the amount was a little small. Instead, it's a big plus to be able to get rice balls for your midnight snack.
