"We got free upgrade to the suite so that was nice. Very pretty river view and not as noisy as some of the reviews I've read. Probably because the weather was getting chilly. Room was very spacious, even for just the size of the bedroom alone. Bed was comfortable and not too soft. But I will say that the light switches in the rooms and also the smart toilet seat were very confusing. Strangely, it had a large bathtub area, but a separate and very squished shower closet. The water didn't quite drain properly also. Breakfast was okay. But considering how the city really is just a town in the desert, I'd say it's actually pretty good. The local restaurants are also options, but we had to get up super early for day trips, and didn't feel like freezing outside to look for food when it's still dark. Side note, the night market in town is nice but not much going on outside of that area. The hotel is not in the city centre, but since the city is small, taxi is the way to go. We actually end up just getting the phone number of one of the taxi driver, and called her whenever we planned to head out. I chose the hotel based on aesthetics and was not disappointed. But our suite was in the end of a very long hallway, so get ready to walk if you are not near the elevator."

Hygiene: Very clean. I stayed for two nights. The room was cleaned very well on the second day. Because I got up early to go to Crescent Lake, the room was not cleaned. Towels and toiletries were placed on the table. When I came back, the room was cleaned very neatly. Environment: Very, very good. You can see the bus to Mogao Grottoes, the railway station and the airport when you walk out of the hotel lobby! There is a bus at around 6 o'clock in the morning. It is just across the street from Shazhou Market, and Dunhuang Night Market and large shopping malls are about a 5/10 minute walk away. Walk 5 minutes to the bus stop and take bus No. 3 to Crescent Lake. The room is very quiet and the corridors are very clean. Service: We arrived at the hotel at 4:30 pm. The front desk clerk gave us the room card and didn't tell us about the upgrade. We were shocked when we got to the room. After checking in, we couldn't project the screen, so we called the waiter, who patiently adjusted the network to solve the problem. There is a pick-up service, and I enjoyed the drop-off at the station. It turned out to be an Audi A6... The driver drove smoothly. The delivery was scheduled for 6:30 in the morning, and the driver arrived at the hotel at 6:20. Although it was very early, the master was very punctual. Room was clean and comfortable but to be honest the bed was rather too large for the room, leaving little space to open up the suitcase. The bedroom was a bit too warm and it was difficult to make the air-conditioning work satisfactorily. I looked at the breakfast the first morning of my stay but it didn't appeal so I skipped it. There are two washing machines for complimentary use; a dryer would be a further asset."
