I chose this place because of the Uonuma rice and the free-flowing hot spring water. The water was excellent. It was great to cool off in the open-air bath. My skin became soft and smooth, which made me very happy. The building is old, but the interior is clean and the furniture is stylish, which I like. I also like the service, which is at a reasonable distance. The rice at dinner was as good as I expected and was delicious. However, the set meal consisted of deep-fried meat and fish, and I chose the fried oyster set meal, which was too much for me. However, it came with four side dishes, which were all delicious! There were some appealing side dishes, and if they had come with a set of rice, miso soup, and side dishes, I would have been able to make my own dinner with just the right amount of side dishes. It was a wonderful inn with a view of the rice fields after the rice harvest and the autumn-colored mountains. There was a heron resting on the roof.

When I stayed there, my upper body was red and itchy, as if I had been bitten by a tick. I reported it to the hotel. Got a reply to deal with the room. I rented two rooms, but only one room

The open-air hot spring was really nice. Although it's old, it's well-maintained and clean. The staff were friendly and kind. This is a place I want to visit again.

It is an old-style hot spring hotel with a long history, so the hot springs are very good and very comfortable to soak in because the hot spring pool is large and there is an outdoor hot spring. Dinner is okay, but not bad, with more vegetables and less meat. There is enough parking space and it is suitable for self-driving because the location is quite remote.

We stayed at Isazawa Onsen Yumotokan with our two children for a few days over the new year. The hotel is beautiful, very clean and rooms are spacious. The local breakfast was very good, so is their dinner option in their restaurant. The onsen is also great, in particular in winter when it is snowing while staying outside in the steamy hot water. The staff is very friendly, polite and helpful, and made us feel very comfortable throughout our entire stay. They even helped us arrange transportation, because we could not rent a car anymore due to high demand. Overall, we highly recommend Isazawa Onsen Yumotokan to anyone who wants to enjoy a few peaceful and quiet days, surrounded by beautiful nature.

I went to a day trip to the hot springs at the recommendation of Hakkaisan Brewery's Uonuma no Sato. The day trip hot spring reception closes at 3:00 pm, so I was able to get in just in time. I took the opportunity to go to the mixed open-air bath. The changing room and washing area are separate mixed bathing areas, and the indoor rock bath, which is fed by natural hot spring water, is slightly hot and comfortable, and about 80% of the bath is separated by bamboo walls. The large open-air bath that can be accessed from the mixed bathing area is very large and has no roof, so it felt a bit warm unless you were near the spout, probably because of the snow that occasionally fell. The small open-air bath that is separated from the large open-air bath had just the right temperature, making use of the hot spring water. I was very satisfied with the atmosphere of the lobby, which was reminiscent of a hot spring hotel.
