The hotel is located about 15-20 minutes' walk from surrounding attractions and about 28 minutes' walk from the lonely San Lucia train station. However, it is not recommended for travelers with suitcases to walk, although the original picture has a good view. You can go out from the train station and take the bus line 5.2. I may not have bought the ticket properly, but it cost 9 euros to get from the hotel to the train station. The hotel is not very close or far from the shopping street. However, the walking navigation signal is easy to drift. After walking into many narrow alleys, you have to find a way out. The hotel room is small and the bathroom is large. The hotel does not provide toothbrushes. When I contacted the front desk, they said that the toothbrush was gone, which was very frustrating. The hotel is near the seaside. You can go there for a walk and have a cup of coffee in the morning. It's not bad either. The hotel recommended two restaurants: OGINA and which one is 50 meters straight on the right side of the hotel. OGINA Forget it, it's not that good. The other seafood restaurant was okay and the service was good. I ate there all day, but I had diarrhea the next morning. Maybe it was because I was lactose intolerant myself and ate a lot of cheese. The breakfast in the hotel is very basic. It costs 25 euros and 5 euros plus tax. I am not happy with the 29 euros. Overall, I spent 2,000 a night and enjoyed 3 stars in a first-tier domestic city. One advantage of the hotel is that the hassle of taxis is free. z z z

The hotel is on a separate island and there is only this hotel on the island. The environment is well maintained. There is a pool and restaurant on the roof. You can see the main island of Venice. In terms of transportation, there is a ferry to and from San Marco Square on the main island. The boat and the one-way shuttle bus to St. Lucia Railway Station on the main island are free. We live in small suites, the rooms and beds are large, the bathrooms and cloakrooms are large, and the experience is very good!

We stayed here for 3 nights early September for our 10 year wedding anniversary. It was the first time we’d been to Venice and it definitely didn’t disappoint. Before I write the hotel review, I would like to highlight to travellers that haven’t been to Venice before and perhaps aren’t aware of how the travel works to and from the airport that no cars are allowed onto the Venice island. We weren’t aware of this before we travelled and paid €90 (£80) for a taxi that drops you at the termini. You then head over a very large bridge and walk to your hotel. I would recommend that you take the bus from the airport which takes the same length of time for around €11 (£10). The buses leave the airport terminal frequently. The hotel is around a 20 minute walk from the termini. I would recommend paying the £2 roaming fees (check price with your network provider) as it would have been impossible to find the hotel without- we arrived quite late at night. We had let the hotel know that we would be arriving late and they arranged for a member of staff to be there to greet us. The hotel is small, with very few rooms, but lovely and very comfortable. Our bedroom had a balcony that looked onto the canal- not sure all rooms do, so definitely ask if this option is available as the view was beautiful in the morning. Although the room also overlooked the streets it was very quiet and we weren’t disturbed. Breakfast was tasty- it was a cold breakfast of cereal, yogurt, meats, cheese, rolls and pastries and the coffee was delicious! There are lots restaurants and bars close to the hotel. You will find that a lot of them around lunch and dinner will not serve drinks only- you will need to search out these places that will. A lot of people tend to head towards the Grand Canal for meals. You will pay extra in these places and to be honest they aren’t as nice as the cute quirky places around the side streets. There is a very small pizza/pasta place with canal side eating, close to the hotel called Al Garzoti. It’s highly rated on trip advisor and was delicious and cheap- it gets very busy so you will need to book. We didn’t take a gondola, but there are plenty of these available. If I remember rightly a 30 minute ride was around €70. We did take one of the boat trips to a couple of the neighbouring islands- I would definitely recommend seeing Burano. The colourful houses and buildings are so pretty! These boat rides are pretty reasonably priced. Enjoy your trip to Venice! :)

AWFUL, MOLD, DAMP, DIRTY!!! The hotel rooms are completely different from the pictures. We booked two rooms, one for my partner and I and another for a friend. Both were horrendous. Firstly,The rooms they show on the website are large and look clean, instead, the rooms we received were tiny, there were 0 real windows. Instead there was a fake window that opened up into a hallway. Secondly, the place is riddled with mold. There's clear water damage everywhere, so much that the paint is puffy and falling off the walls. There's black mold everywhere in the shower and on the floor tiles in the room. My husband and I couldn't sleep well, especially our breathing was affected (as you couldn't even open a window for air, just the fake window that opens up to a public space INSIDE). Thirdly, the air conditioner smelled and had 10 years worth of dust inside the vents, it just so happened to be right above the bed. Fourthly, I found a pile of hair in my pillow case, black, curly hair. Both my husband and I are blonde. Since there's no front desk service, it's complicated to speak to anyone to mitigate our situation. The one woman who was working there was friendly, but could not offer us any help for the problems we encountered. Moreover, the owners aren't in any rush to make up for this deception. Complete scam. Overall, horrible experience. The place is not worth the price, nor possible health complications you could have from staying in it.

Everything you read about Ca’Maria Callas is true - the fantastic location, elegant rooms, helpful and friendly employees, great breakfast, and magical atmosphere created by the church bells and singing gondoliers passing by your window on the picturesque canal beneath. We arrived late so nobody was on duty at this time. However, clear instructions had kindly been sent to us via phone by Chiara so this was not a problem. We did not get the actual room I’d seen online with small balcony - but I soon realised that this was because we’d been given a newly refurbished one. This was the occasion of my 60th birthday, and thoughtful touches such as this and the complimentary gift received were both surprising and greatly appreciated. (Note: For the info of any older guests, I have been remiss in not taking photos inside, but would just point out that the bedroom of this particular room was quite dark and there was a fairly steep staircase leading to the bathroom above). The bed was extremely comfortable and WiFi very efficient, whilst the bathroom upstairs was clean, lovely and light, modern, and well equipped - and it too overlooked the canal, which I had not anticipated so this was an added bonus! Breakfasts were substantial and delicious and the waitresses warm and friendly. Unfortunately, I have mislaid the name of the young man on Reception, but he was exceptional. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble for him, and he made everything so easy when answering our questions with a smile. He also recommended a great spot for hiring a gondolier for my special birthday gondola ride, which was just perfect! This property really does have something special in my opinion - you feel instantly at home in this traditional building with its internal courtyard, downstairs door opening directly onto a canal, and warm hospitality. Despite being in the San Marco area within such easy walking distance of vaporetto stops and lively restaurants and bars, its quiet and peaceful location tucked away behind La Fenice Theatre is such that it makes you feel as if you’re in the very heart of am authentic local area of Venice!

I had a wonderful stay at the Hotel! The service and facilities were top-notch. The breakfast was delicious and varied, with fresh fruits, pastries, eggs, and more. The staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to assist me with anything I needed. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and comfortable getaway.
