I will definitely go back and stay in Mercure St Kilda. The reception welcomed us even when we arrived at midnight. The housekeeping team was very efficient and the room was big and I liked the amenities like capsule coffee, lots of tea and appliances.. wifi was very fast. On my 3rd day. I decided to stay inside my room to enjoy my staycation.

I called the hotel several times and there was no answer i drove from regional victoria and just wanted to ask them about their parking but no luck, anyways when i arrived at the hotel and asked the staff politely that my calls were unanswered the receptionist rudely responded saying we have not received any calls, i showed her my call log that made her confused. She did not apologised for the way she reacted to the situation. Hotel is located in a prime location and the ammenities offered by the hotel was spot on, i hope hotel management will look into this matter and take appropriate steps to ensure guests can feel welcomed and enjoy their stay.

It was spacious, beds were comfy, hot water in the shower was nice, however the shower doors let water out along the corners so you'd end up with puddles by the end of the shower. The service was accomodating, however the the kitchen is just for show, pots and knives on request. Received a very old pot and a knife so blunt it might as well be a butter knife. Small Dishwasher was a nice addition, cleans the minimal cutlery perfect. Washer and dryer downstairs which takes coin only. One of them was broken when we were staying, others get occupied quickly during the evening and mornings. Location is good opposite a tram stop which has many trams to the city. Overall a comfortable stay however would be better with a few simple additions / maintenance of the place would've been sooooo much better.

I booked this hotel for a total of 5 nights because of its location. What I didn't expect was that I would not be charged a check-out fee if I checked out a day early. When booking, I made a special note that I might check out early and would be notified 24 hours in advance, but no one paid attention. This kind of thing happens often. Most hotels can negotiate after checking in, but this hotel has a tough attitude and I am very disappointed. I will never book with this hotel again.

The hotel is on the south bank of the Yarra River. Overall, the location is not as convenient as in the CBD area, but fortunately it is relatively quiet. The inconvenience is that you need to take a car to go to the CBD every day. The Melbourne city tram from Zone 1 to Zone 2 costs 5 Australian dollars if you cross the area. If you go shopping in the CBD and come back in the afternoon, it will cost 10 Australian dollars a day. There are still some transportation costs. Fortunately, the hotel is right on the main road. There are many trams that can go to the CBD area, which is very convenient. The facilities are relatively new and the front desk service is quite friendly.

My husband was admitted to a nearby hospital for cardiac investigations, subsequently needing open heart surgery. The staff were kind and very patient with my situation as I booked my accommodation progressively, as needed, as my husband’s condition changed each day. The accommodation was spacious, clean and comfortable. My requests were answered efficiently and quickly. I note some reviewers have complained about the stovetop not working and the absence of cooking utensils… I also wondered about that, but a quick call to reception advised that the stovetop has a safety operating switch on the wall and a nice nonstick pan and egg slide was promptly delivered to my room! All the staff were professional and polite. The St. Kilda Road tram stop is a two minute walk from the hotel, close to nearby attractions and the city. A secure coin operated laundry is available onsite too.

Lovely Hotel, very quiet and only minutes from the CBD with beautiful gardens nearby. Tram to central Melbourne is 2 minutes walk. Nicole at reception was efficient and caring during check in, she also provided excellent help when needed. I highly recommend this hotel if you want a quiet and comfortable stay only minutes from the CBD.

As an All member I thought booking this hotel would live up to the name, how wrong I was. After arriving from a busy day I thought a shower would do the job to freshen up before a meal, but alas no hot water. I went down to reception and was told it's probably because everyone is using the hot water. What at 5.30?? Tried again at 7pm still no hot water, back to reception was told someone would look at it. I then went out for a meal, slept in a far too soft bed, pillow choice was soft, soft or soft. Woke up ready to face another day, alas still no hot water, back down to reception, I asked if tgere was a room I could shower in, I will check after breakfast. Came back and was told they would call me. They did only to say they had no rooms with hot water for me. No refund, no discount just a sorry. To top it off a text to leave a review came later in tge day. I will not stay tgere again and consider other options. Clearly this 'franchise' has allowed tge place to run down and lower its standards.

The rooms are large, clean and feel fresh. I love the amount of towels and nice scent when you enter. The staff was very cordial and since I just flew from Hong Kong I was happily surprised by the amenities available such as small kitchen in my room and laundry. I would definitely recommend this beautifully situated hotel.

This motel could be a lot better without much extra effort. Pro’s: Tram stop very close. Underground parking. Bar right next to motel. Clean. Con’s: Parking is $40 per night. Building site directly behind our room - started work 7am sharp on a weekday, woke us up. Room looks and feels cheap, no paint on ceiling. Has a kitchenette without anything to cook with! (Seemed a bit strange.) You’ll sit on balcony on your own, as there’s only one seat. The shower is small, made a tighter fit because the soap holder is on a wall of its own. Would be better under the taps as it’s very easy to bump. For the price it could have been finished off a bit better.

Appalling service and arrogant staff, even after emailing I have not had any response to my issues. They are a disgrace to Accor and as a Platinum member would expect better, Other reviews cover the issues.

Location is ok but the hotel could use refreshment. The breakfast was very standard. The room was big enough for 2 people so it's ok. Easy to stroll along the Yarra river where a lot of restaurants and bars located.
