Matsumoto Hotels with Wi-Fi

Great location. Hotel is clean. There's a place to hang out with free flow of drinks and great view of Matsumoto citiy. Room is quite small and basic for the price. As we stayed during peak so price is on the high side. We drove and park at the nearby parking garage as appointed by the hotel at discounted rate. A lot of eateries and shops within walking distance.

Less than 5 minutes walk from JR station, my moderate twin room is very spacious and comes with a work desk. Beddings are very comfortable and plenty of amenities are provided. They even have complimentary supper service at night. We didn't get to try the breakfast but they look great with a lot of varieties. This is a great place to stay in Matsumoto.

This was one of the more ‘traditional’ hotels in which we stayed. It was on the older side. Our room was in what was described as the annexe. It was a Nice room of decent size. As is typical in Japan everything was provided plus the extra bonus of chargers and a blue tooth speaker if wanted. It was the only hotel during our stay to provide a Nespresso machine. . Very traditional pyjamas i Liked the room as there was a lobby area in which we could accommodate and easily access suitcases without falling over them. There was a Decent size bathroom with a small bath and shower. The whole room was very clean except for some mould on bathroom tiles. The Shower is good if your height is up to about 6’ 2”. Shower head holes needed bit of lime scale cleaning to flow better. Please note- the shower is in deep raised bath. This was Harder for a short person to get in and out. I Thought I would slip so installation of a grab handle or step would be very helpful. The Beds were very comfortable and the single beds are 4’ which is a good size. The Room did get cold but good heating provided. Plenty of plugs. Room was Very quiet. Breakfast mainly traditional Japanese but some limited western food available. Very good Japanese breakfast. Public baths are on site . There is free Shuttle departing at fixed times to the station which you pre book. Suggest you book the night before. There is a small Cafe attached to the hotel with a small shop. Good atmosphere. Very helpful staff. Location within walking distance of anything you want to see in Matsumoto and the station.

I chose this hotel in front of the station for the next day to use a car rental. It is a hotel of the Alpico Transportation Group. The receptionist is on the 2 floor. Check-in requires a machine hand input by yourself, and all payments, card keys and breakfast tickets are out of the machine. So payment is prepaid. It depends on the way of thinking whether it is troublesome or convenient. 1 person 8000 yen with breakfast. There was Wi-Fi, the room and the bathroom were clean and the bed was comfortable and there was no particular dissatisfaction. There are also restaurants and taverns in front of the station for dinner, so there is no worry.

This hotel was booked as part of tour of Japan and we were there for only 1 night. As a solo traveller I was allocated a single room which was very small. It did however have a large bed which based on the space available was probably too big for the room. In order to get my case open to just get a small number of items I needed for one night I had to rearrange the chair and table so I could get the case open. The “closet” if you can call it that, was so small it only had 3 hangers and was probably only about 18inches wide right next to the door. I wouldn’t want to stay in this room more than one night. On the basis you pay a single supplement I find it poor that we solo travellers are given such small and inadequate rooms. In addition, as a tour from the UK, hardly anyone spoke English so it was hard to get the staff to understand when something went wrong, like my kettle which wasn’t working. In credit to the Reception staff, once I finally managed to get him to understand the problem he resolved it very quickly. Finally when we went to breakfast at 7.45am they were already full and we had to wait about 10 mins or so, then a number of the breakfast items had run out. There were 2 coach tours in and they didn’t seem to be able to cope or cater for the amount of people there. I did find the staff very friendly and helpful, so it certainly isn’t their fault. I wouldn’t recommend it for solo travellers.

Looks nothing from the outside but our one night stay at this hotel was very comfortable and it was such an easy walk to the Matsumoto Castle which we visited in the day and again at night. The bed and pillows were super comfy. The Japanese and Western breakfast served in the beautiful function room was the best we had eaten in our 18 days in Japan. I would highly recommend this hotel to our family, friends and work colleagues visiting Matsumoto.

Fantastic breakfast. I would said it's quality and variety are much better than a lot of hotel or ryokan. Who ever going to stay there, pls book together the breakfast with your room.

This Hotel is only a 5 minute walk to the main station making it ideal for travellers using public transport. Its quite a modern hotel with well furnished rooms although probably better suited for single occupancy as the bed is against the wall making a difficult exit for one of you during the night. If you stay less than 3 nights there isnt a maid service but you leave your dirty towels and rubbish outside your room in the morning and clean towels are there upon your return later in the day, initially we thought it a bit odd but it meant we didn’t have to tidy our room before the cleaners came in lol. There is a coffee service in reception in the mornings and the hotel does provide complimentary items i.e. hair bobbles, razor etc. We were room only here so cant comment on the food.

I stayed in the corona pass this time. The location is not blessed, but it can be said that it is a hotel with too much content to supplement it. First of all, the accommodation fee is cheap. It has increased recently in the city, but there is a large bath. You can lend your bicycle for free for sightseeing. The most important thing to evaluate is breakfast. There are many kinds in the buffet form, and most of them are not made and are thought to be handmade. There are many local specialties and I am soaked in the feeling that I came to Nagano. There are really few hotels with such content in business hotels recently. Although the cost-oriented management will be doing so, such a hotel wants to support more than heart. If you have the next opportunity, you will definitely take breakfast here.

Check-in uses an automatic check-in machine, but even when I entered the building, the front desk staff just looked silently and didn't even greet me. Also, the guests who tried to check in at the front desk were cold to use the check-in machine. (If you don't support check-in at the front desk, you don't need ２ people at the counter. １ Why don't you stand at the person check-in machine and guide you?) Alpico Hotel Group ”Shoho” It was the decisive factor to use the large bath, but only 10 people can be used per free transfer bus １ flight (１ day ２ flight), and there was no explanation from the front staff. The rooms were not cleaned, dust was accumulated on the desk, refrigerator, and the head of the bed, and the mirror was not wiped. (I went to the front desk and borrowed a rag and cleaned it myself)
