"Good hotel. Everything is simple, clean, and comfortable. There's a room with complimentary tea, not just any tea but high-quality green tea, available until 6 PM. At the front desk, you can get all necessities like disposable utensils, coffee, tea, and bathrobes. Guests have free access to the onsen, with separate times for men and women. The only thing to note is if you weigh more than 100kg and there are two of you, it's probably best not to book a semi-double bed. The air conditioning was quiet, and the window opened. The fridge, however, was quite weak at cooling. I would definitely stay here again; I liked it."

"Location: The hotel is situated at the foot of a mountain in Satoyama, a considerable distance from JR Matsumoto Station. However, it offers a unique charm with panoramic views of Matsumoto Castle from the hillside. Transportation: Unless you're driving or taking a taxi, here are your options: 1) The hotel provides a shuttle service to and from JR Station. There are two morning departures at 9 and 10 AM, passing by Matsumoto Castle before heading to JR Station. Return trips are at 4 and 5 PM. The pick-up point is at the temporary parking area to the right of JR Station Matsumoto Castle Exit (not a bus stop). 2) You can take the Meigahara Onsen bus line from the bus terminal downstairs at Alpico Plaza, opposite the temporary parking lot of JR Station, and get off at Fujii Station. You can find the bus schedule on Google Maps. Service: There are English-speaking staff at the front desk, but no Chinese speakers. Simple communication is not an issue. The service was impeccable. Dining: The breakfast is a buffet style with both Japanese and Western options, very extensive and delicious. There are also welcome drinks, including ice cream, juice, coffee, hot tea, and even draft beer! P.S. There are not many dining options near the hotel, so you might want to eat near JR Station before returning to the hotel, or dine at the hotel. I booked one of the few rooms with a private onsen. Soaking in the hot spring while enjoying views of the Northern Alps was incredibly relaxing. The hotel also has a large terrace, perfect for enjoying a drink during the evening 'blue hour' – truly one of life's most comfortable moments."

"The triple room is very spacious with plenty of space to open up our 3 luggages. The beds are comfy and very near to Matsumoto Station and bus terminal. It’s a perfect location and near to restaurants and convenience stores. Would highly recommend this hotel."

"In the second day of hotel, we planned out trip to the castle, shopping street, and the Japanese alps area. So we had breakfast early and went to the station to meet our guide. After coming back from the trip, we took taxi again to the hotel. When we booked our trip to the station from the hotel, we realized that the hotel provided frequent trips to and from the station. As we were tired, we went to onsen, which was provided by the hotel. It was a free service or included in the stay, I think. The onsen is located in another big hotel and the bus ride took 30 minutes. There were many people from many hotels going together to the onsen hotel. The onsen was pretty big, two indoor pools and two outdoor pools. We enjoyed the warm water and relaxed. The bus brought us back to the hotel at 9 pm. The hotel gave new towels and other supplies in the door of our room as we didn’t have a cleaning service in the morning. Anyway, the hotel restaurant is good and the free shuttle bus service is exceptional as no reservation was necessary. I will visit this hotel again when we travel to Matsumoto next time."

"Overall, it was decent. It's a bit of a distance from the train station, but the room size was good. They offered a complimentary beef bowl at night, and there's a bathtub for soaking, which is great for hikers. The duvet cover is a single layer, which might be annoying for restless sleepers."

"Not far from the train station, it's very convenient to walk. The hotel has just been renovated and is very clean. The front desk staff are enthusiastic and professional. The hotel has an overall Japanese style, and you need to store your shoes on the first floor when you enter. The room is not big but sufficient. Although the bed is only 1.4 meters, the experience was quite good. The bathroom is very clean. There's a hot spring on the top floor and laundry facilities. Through the window, you can admire the train station below and the distant mountains. Japanese breakfast is offered in the morning with a good variety. Free Japanese ramen is served after 9 PM. Satisfied."

"The hotel is located close to the Matsumoto castle, with quiet and decent shops around. Also, there are some lanes have shops with characters. The big bath in the hotel is clean and lovely. The hotel in genwral has a feel of vintage with in very good condition. The room is spacious with beautiful mountain view as a background. Breakfast is good in quality with both western and Japanese style food."

"We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this resort. From the moment I arrived, the staff greeted me with genuine warmth and professionalism, making me feel instantly at home. We are deeply grateful for the extraordinary care shown by the hotel assistant Akemi during our stay. When we were unexpectedly stuck in the snow in a remote area, she walked alone to find us and kindly offered assistance to call for tow truck support. She then guided us safely back to the hotel, even though we had already checked out, and welcomed us with tea and biscuits to keep us warm while we waited. Her thoughtfulness and dedication went far beyond duty, and her kindness turned a stressful situation into a touching memory. Thank you sincerely for such genuine hospitality—it is something we will never forget."

"The hotel is nice and new, and the reception staff are polite and speak fluent English. Although the room is not very spacious, it is compact yet sufficient to accommodate two suitcases. It is a five-minute walk from the station and is located on the quieter side of the city. The hotel also provides free ramen or ice cream at night. However, the chef seemed unhappy, and his tone felt quite condescending when speaking English. Overall, it was a lovely stay!"
