2-Star Hotels in Matsumoto

I traveled as the night before climbing. The space in the capsule is wide vertically and horizontally, so you can relax firmly. This is located about 5 minutes walk from Matsumoto Station Ojoguchi, and there is a convenience store, but it is in a quiet location. I walked from Kita Matsumoto Station to the hotel. ７ minutes? It is a walk arrival. The woman at the front desk had a smile and there was no unpleasant impression. The room was a room with Matsumoto Jo castle on the top floor. Especially at night Matsumoto Jo castle was the best and clean. Matsumoto City is not big, the hotel is very close to Matsumoto Castle, you can see it in the room, and it is 15 minutes walk from Matsumoto Station. There is free coffee and hot water on the first floor of the hotel, which is great for Chinese people who can't drink ice water. I have had a breakfast at the hotel, I have to pay separately, 500 yen a person, it is OK, just buy it at a convenience store. The price of this hotel is very cost effective.

Offering simple Japanese-style rooms with air conditioning, shared bathrooms and an LCD TV, Hotel Suehiro is a 10-minute drive from both JR Matsumoto Train Station and Matsumoto Castle. Free parking is provided. Guests at Suehiro Hotel sleep on a tatami (woven-straw) floor in traditional futon bedding, and bathe at the shared public bath. Toilets are also shared. The hotel is a 20-minute drive from the Matsumoto Interchange (IC) on the Chuo Highway. The Matsumoto Municipal Museum is a 10-minute drive away. A free-use internet PC is available at the lobby. Japanese and Western set-menu breakfasts are available for an extra fee, as is a Japanese-style dinner.

This is a really good place to stay if you’re looking for a cheap Ryokan. Staff are super friendly, but unfortunately don’t speak much English. However, you can get by with google translate. There is an Onsen that is shared amongst the guests, however you can flip a sign on the door to mark it as occupied so you can use it alone. The only real downside is that the staff clean around 9-10am in the morning. So if you’re looking for a peaceful sleep in this probably isn’t the best stay for you. Though If you’re an early riser and like to try different types of hostels this place is going to be perfect. They also have free hire bikes you can use to get around.

It is convenient to walk from the station for about 5 minutes. I arrived early so I left my luggage at the front desk and sightseeing, but the front desk was very good. There is free coffee at the front desk in the morning. The room was small but I didn't care especially because I just went to bed. The air conditioner and electric control switch were near the head of the bed and the air conditioner was cut off. The net is slow and the TV is small, so I sleep on the bed and watch the TV, but I can't see it well. Electric blanket is laid and warm.

We stayed two nights in this Ryokan during our holiday in Japan. Matsumoto is a cosy and relaxed place, without the tourist crowds we experienced in other cities, staying in different hotels, who were all good, this Ryokan gave us a memorable experience. Everything was very well organized, the pick up from the station, the free bikes, the cleanliness of the place. The warm welcome from the hosts, the excellent way in which they took care of us during our stay. Making sure we could enkoy andrelax completely. Yesterday when we returned from our bicycle trip, during which we had a heavy rainshower and were completely soaked. The owner rushed out with umbrellas and his wife waited with towels and put newspapers in our wet shoes. This really felt as coming home! We tried both the Japanese and Western breakfast, they were both excellent. If you are staying in Matsumoto this the place we strongly recommend!

I think the hotel itself structure is old but beautiful. To the front desk for check-in ‥‥ was usually a good response.
