Actual Hotel was Riad &Spa Mandalay, over 5 minutes walk from Riad Fatouma, which had been reserved tru Trip.com. The reason why capacity of Fatouma seemed very limited, then my reservation could transfer to above Mandalay hotel. Controversy came out between me and Fatouma. I felt very unpleasant when he explained the situation. Trip.com should have this kind of reservation more carefully checked in advance. Assumed Quite common incidents in this hotel. Mandalay itself was good, serving continental breakfast inclusive of real mint tea, excellent & handmade jam. Please take note no amenity like a bottle of water, coffee, tea, handy pot. Air con was old fashioned, its power so weak. But I enjoyed 2 nites.

The room: A bit dirty, shower was not clean, bed was not comfortable, very noisy. The cheapest and worst quality soap in the bathroom which is unusable. Staff: friendly and polite but they try to sell you every single tour possible. Breakfast: very basic, bread and a semolina pancake. No source of protein and no vegetables… at least a boiled egg or fried egg or something would make a big difference. We booked the 3 day Merzouga desert tour through the Riad. 1400 dirham per person for luxury but it was the worst experience ever. Horrible food, super expensive lunches, every stop possible to sell items and obtain commission. Camels were untrained, desert tent was the worst tent I’ve ever seen. Unclean, smelly, mosquitoes, leaking toilet, no running water. Camels injured 4 people by throwing them off and stomping. Driver didn’t care about anything other than money

We liked this Riad. It is located very close to the bus stop and in a peaceful place. The room was cleaned every day, the stuff supplied with hygiene products like soap and shampoo. Muhammed was extremely polite and helpful. Great quality-price ratio! The only thing I didn’t like was the noise that can be heard from the main room in the evening — but it’s typical for riads because of their construction. But after 23:00 everything was quiet, so I didn’t suffer a lot. Generally, I can recommend this place for staying!

The accommodation is very bad, the towels are not changed, there is a huge refrigerator outside the room, there is no dripping sound of toilet water in the room, the location is good, the price is cheap, because I booked Morocco last year, I can get a discount of 200, but if it is not 200, it is obviously too low cost performance. The room is OK, but the service attitude is not good and impatient. Especially when booking, they said there is a parking space, which needs to be charged. But in fact, it is not the hotel's own parking space, and guests have to find it by themselves, which makes guests fall into some people's routines. One parking space needs to pay for 2 people. In this case, the hotel should explain the situation in advance, otherwise guests can't find a parking space when they arrive at your hotel, and they encounter unreasonable charges, which is a very bad experience.

It's a pretty shabby place, but that's to be expected considering the cheap price. The breakfast is prepared with care. The staff is friendly.

The Moroccan navigation positioning is off by tens of meters, so the navigation is to circle around nearby, not only us, but also the local driver who will pick us up the next day. In fact, it is convenient to write it down. Enter from the entrance of the city wall and walk to the alley on the right at the end. See the picture. It should be considered a B&B, so call the owner in advance, otherwise there may be no one available. In fact, there is no breakfast, but the room is quite good for sleeping. Apart from us, all the people staying there are young people. After all, the price is only about 300 yuan. Note that you must first exchange some local currency at the airport. There are many small shops around where you live, and you can also eat until late.

Upon arrival, I was moved to another riad because the air conditioning was not working. In the other riad there was a cockroach in the room and I was moved to another one. The other room had a toilet with no space and the sheets gave off static electricity. Lots of wasps on the roof terrace for breakfast.

Mohamed is very kind, available and gives great advice, Room deserves a refresh; location not far from the medina. Breakfast is ok. I recommend.

Good service and nice people who work there

It was lovely to stay in a traditional riad for our stay in Marrakech. Mohammed was so helpful arranging our transfers and organising taxis for us. Giving us advice on the area too. We stayed for three nights and had breakfast which was freshly cooked and delicious

The rooms are definitely quite dark, with no windows or natural light. Along with no windows, I found myself coughing frequently as the pillows were quite dusty. There isn’t really much to do in the riad itself, as the TVs don’t work, but it’s an excellent location, being very close to the centre. Mohammad is also lovely and attentive, and has kept up with us to make sure we’re doing well, which is quite nice of him to do. He’s been very kind. As my title suggests, just average, but Mohammad has multiple suggestions for things to do, so if you’re going to Marrakech perhaps clueless, it might be useful to have someone like him around.

I stayed 4 nights at this Riad and got an amaizing experience. The place is clean and staff very humble and lovely. Very close to the entry Bab Ksiba and within an walkable distance to the main square. They could improve a bit more the breakfast offering.

My family and I (wife and 2 kids ages 11 and 8) had a very good time at Riad Fatuoma. This is a very traditional Moroccan accommodation that will allow you to have a full and real Moroccan experience. If you are expecting or are used to luxury or even Premier Inn-style accommodation, this is not the place for you. The accommodation is very modest, simple, and basic, but again, it provides you with an excellent experience of real Morocco (which is what many people are looking for when visiting Marrakech) at a very affordable price. The Riad is located in the old town, so get ready to walk around a labyrinth of narrow and very busy streets with high contrasts (i.e. some of them will be very touristy while others will show you the poor side of the city and its people). The area is very safe to walk at any time of the day. We had the full board. In the mornings, the breakfast was basic but tasty and traditional. For lunch and dinner, we had to tell in advance the host (Mohamed) what we wanted. These mainly consisted of Beef Tajin (a very traditional and tasty Moroccan dish), pizza, tacos and fish. Overall, the food was OK. There are plenty of stores, restaurants, corner stores, etc. around the Riad. It is located about 15-20 minutes walk to the medina, which we visited during the morning, afternoon and night as it presents three completely different faces. The only issue we had was that the room was extremely small for four people, we did not even have space where to put the suitcases, so we put them on the floor but then struggled to move around the room. We could not use the wardrobes either as the beds blocked their doors. I am not sure if the room was suitable for four people as advertised in Love Holidays. However, after a couple of days, we got used to this and just carried on well with our holiday. The toilet was of a good size but the water pressure was very poor. Also, the shower did not have a shower curtain so we had to be careful not to spill water throughout the entire bathroom. The room had air conditioning, which worked very well. The internet in the room was acceptable, although, after heavy rain, we found some issues with it. Overall, the room and in general the Riad were clean. One of the highlights of the stay was Mohamed, the Riad host, who was always there making sure that we had a pleasant time. He gave us his WhatsApp number so we communicated fast with him. He responded to all our requests very quickly and effectively. Overall, we would highly recommend Riad Fatuoma if you want to have an authentic Moroccan experience and if you are not fuzzy about modest accommodation.
