The room: A bit dirty, shower was not clean, bed was not comfortable, very noisy. The cheapest and worst quality soap in the bathroom which is unusable.
Staff: friendly and polite but they try to sell you every single tour possible.
Breakfast: very basic, bread and a semolina pancake. No source of protein and no vegetables… at least a boiled egg or fried egg or something would make a big difference.
We booked the 3 day Merzouga desert tour through the Riad. 1400 dirham per person for luxury but it was the worst experience ever. Horrible food, super expensive lunches, every stop possible to sell items and obtain commission. Camels were untrained, desert tent was the worst tent I’ve ever seen. Unclean, smelly, mosquitoes, leaking toilet, no running water. Camels injured 4 people by throwing them off and stomping. Driver didn’t care about anything other than money

We liked this Riad. It is located very close to the bus stop and in a peaceful place. The room was cleaned every day, the stuff supplied with hygiene products like soap and shampoo. Muhammed was extremely polite and helpful. Great quality-price ratio!
The only thing I didn’t like was the noise that can be heard from the main room in the evening — but it’s typical for riads because of their construction. But after 23:00 everything was quiet, so I didn’t suffer a lot.
Generally, I can recommend this place for staying!

The Moroccan navigation positioning is off by tens of meters, so the navigation is to circle around nearby, not only us, but also the local driver who will pick us up the next day.
In fact, it is convenient to write it down. Enter from the entrance of the city wall and walk to the alley on the right at the end. See the picture.
It should be considered a B&B, so call the owner in advance, otherwise there may be no one available. In fact, there is no breakfast, but the room is quite good for sleeping. Apart from us, all the people staying there are young people. After all, the price is only about 300 yuan.
Note that you must first exchange some local currency at the airport. There are many small shops around where you live, and you can also eat until late.

Upon arrival, I was moved to another riad because the air conditioning was not working. In the other riad there was a cockroach in the room and I was moved to another one. The other room had a toilet with no space and the sheets gave off static electricity. Lots of wasps on the roof terrace for breakfast.

Me and my friend had a great stay in Marrakech at Riad Fatouma. Mohamed was extremely welcoming and helpful and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time, and it was lovely to get to know him. Without a doubt the best staff experience I’ve had. The Riad is great value for money and a short walk from the centre

This was an EasyJet Holiday and it was definitely over priced. On arrival, I was so disappointed and felt we had made a huge mistake as we expected so much more for our money. It would be fine if you are young and backpacking. I would suggest that you do some more research to compare value for money. I wish we had stayed somewhere else.

Just returned from a 5 night stay at Riad Fatouma in Marrakesh. The Riad is very well located and around a 10-15 minute walk to the main square, as well as other attractions and on the way there are several shops and restaurants with plenty of choice. We arrived late on the first night, but we were greeted by Iheb, who was excellent. He helped us throughout the stay, pointing out his recommendations for where we should visit and things to do. Iheb was kind and very friendly and was always happy to talk to us at anytime! The Riad was clean and tidy, and for the price has everything you need - but you’re probably hardly going to be in the room as there is so much to see in Marrakesh! Couldn’t fault this place, and Iheb made the stay so much better! Iheb also gave us his contact details and said we could message/call him at any time if we needed anything which was so helpful too! Check out was at 12:00 but we didn’t fly home until 17:00, and we could easily leave our luggage behind reception. The Riad is also secure with a large metal gate which is locked, and rooms are incredibly spacious. Overall, I would highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for a comfortable room with great hospitality!

Received by Mohamed, who is very kind, helpful, discreet, reassuring, and gives good advice. Highly recommended for anyone who needs spent time in nice locations. Riad maybe don’t look like 5 star hotels but it’s very comfortable and you will feel like in home. I definitely come back ☺️

I have just returned from arrived for a 17 night stay in Marrakesh. On arrival at the Riad Fatouma I was shocked by the room I was shown. I fully understand what a Riad is and what should offer, much more than this. The room was tiny and unclean. The shower and toilet were in a very poor condition and appeared less than hygienic. The mattress was ancient, soiled and sagging. The pillows in a similar state. There was no space to move or furniture to sit on, no wardrobe to hang clothing nor even space to set down and unpack a suitcase. It can best be described as a cell and a neglected one at that. It was all well below any reasonable expectation. Certainly by no yardstick did it match what was originally shown (some pictures not of the same Riad!) nor what was booked and paid for. I requested another room and was told there were none. Eventually, following much polite but very firm protest I was moved (next morning) to another Riad which proved satisfactory. The room offered at the Fatouma was not fit for purpose and, in my opinion, not one that should be associated with the Thomas Cook name.

A beautiful Riad in a very good location in Marrakesh. A Riad is a converted traditional house which has been turned into a hotel, meaning you get a traditional experience. Mohamed, who was in charge of the Riad went above and beyond to make sure we had a good stay in Marrakesh. He helped book our taxis, gave us advice on local landmarks, helped us book tours, recommended and booked a superb spa and more. We even managed to sit with some of his friends who played beautiful music. The Riad is close to many of the local landmarks including the Souk, the Bahia and Badia palaces and others. The tours offered by Mohamed were significantly cheaper than those offered by tour guides in the local neighbourhood. The Riad is highly recommended to all, but especially those who want an authentic experience, if you are looking for luxury - it may not be the place for you. Breakfast is also highly recommended, it is light but was a perfect start to the day and consisted of Moroccan bread, jam, honey, tea, pastries etc.

What can I say, we loved this charming little Riad. Great location, about a 20 minute walk from the main square, in a neighbourhood called the Kasbah. Really near to some great attractions, cafes and restaurants. The Riad is clean homely and comfortable but it’s the people that made it for us. Breakfast is lovely traditionally Moroccan and served by such a kind lady with the nicest smile. Mohamed was our host and he was fantastic, what amazing hospitality. We booked all our trips through him at great prices - he’s good fun and gave us so much help and information about Marrakesh. He made the holiday such a good experience and we can’t thank him enough

The riad isn’t the easiest to find, make sure you look up to the second floor above the gate - the sign is up there! We had a great time, Mohammed was excellent- sorted out excursions for us, always on hand to help. The rooms - you will be able to hear everything from the rest of the building. It didn’t bother us, or make our stay bad - but if expecting a quiet break, you won’t get it. We’d definitely stay again, you’re at the bottom of the Kasbah (which is just amazing to walk through) and you can walk to the main square in less than 30mins.

The Riad Fatouma is a very nice place to stay. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Mohamed, the manager, is very welcoming. He will take care of anything you need. The meals are very good too. I would definitely stay there again.
