The room is pretty good, clean and hygienic. The food for three meals is rich in variety, delicious in color, fragrance and taste. There are also enthusiastic Maasai people. It was a wonderful experience...

The hotel is in the park, and the external environment is very good. The room is relatively old and the domestic Samsung is similar. There are not many varieties of food for three meals, but the taste is not bad.

The location of the hotel is very good, in the Masai Mara Park, it is very convenient to go to Safari. The environment of the hotel is also good, you can have close contact with wild animals. But the facilities in the hotel room are very poor, the door lock is broken, the bathroom door cannot be closed, and the water is yellow. Service is average.

A beautiful lodge hotel within the Masai Mara reserve which allows for the animals to roam freely around you. There is a hippo spot and bar where you can watch them play as you enjoy a drink. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Special mentions to Judy and Mark at the restaurant who take time to have a nice conversation with you and make your time special. Judy is also a great singer. Room had a very nice view, washroom could do with an upgrade. Food spread was Kenyan, Indian and Continental and was flavorful to the Indian palate.
Response from Property: Dear Mr. Ryan, Thank you for your wonderful feedback! We're thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the beautiful setting of our lodge and the friendly service from Judy and Mark. It's great to know that you appreciated the diverse food offerings and the lovely view from your room. We'll certainly take your suggestion about upgrading the washroom into consideration. We hope to welcome you back for another memorable experience! Warm regards, Sanjeev Kumar General Manager

We have just spent 2 nights at this beautiful lodge as part of our Kenya Safari Tour with TUI. On arrival at Keekorok we were met by stunning Masai men who collected our luggage. The whole atmosphere is that of joy, happiness and kindness. Each and every member of staff had a smile and a “jambo”. Judy greeted us to the restaurant and taught us Kenyan pleasantries which was lovely. Mealtimes were fabulous with a good range of dishes, in a lovely set out restaurant. The omelettes at breakfast were wonderful as was the lady cooking them. We stayed in Lodge 1248 which had a comfy king sized bed as well as a single, and a fabulous balcony where you could sit at night and hear the hippos in there own pool, which has a viewing platform with a little bar, which was such a nice addition. Between the hours of 7pm and 6am you have to be escorted to and from your lodge, this is due to the magnificent hippos that wander into the lodge gardens to graze when the sun goes down. Seeing a gigantic hippopotamus metres away from your lodge was possibly one of the most beautiful scenes for me and something I shall never forget. Whilst sitting on the balcony having coffee last night we watched an enormous guy amble past us, not a care in the world, just amazing. The only disappointment for me is that we didn’t have longer. A beautifully managed lodge, with friendly happy staff, great food, comfy accommodation and awesome hippos! We said this trip would be a once in a lifetime, but now we are not convinced! Thank you Keekarok for an unforgettable stay

The most beautiful hotel and lovely friendly staff. The full board buffet options are delicious and vary from day to day. Each member of staff we interacted with were so kind and wanted us to have the best time possible. The scenery is also out of this world and there’s lots of wildlife onsite as well as easy access into the reserve for game drives. Highly recommend ❤️

This was our first stay in Kenya and boy it was outstanding! First of all, its within the park! So you are wasting no time for coming in and out every time you have a game drive or a balloon flight. The place is without any fence, so there will be all kinds of park animals at your windows and doorstep! Security will walk you and take care of your safety whenever you feel like it. All that means you get full immersion experience, which is such a great thing! Staff is genuinely super friendly and caring, from manager to janitor. Food was great. Service was great. Clean and tidy. Recommend ✨
Response from Property: Dear Guest, Thank you for sharing your wonderful experience! We're thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the full immersion and the unique wildlife encounters during your stay. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you back for another fantastic visit! Warm regards, Sanjeev Kumar General Manager

Had a fantastic safari experience here. The staff were very welcoming. Our guide provided a wonderful safari experience and we managed to see The Big Five. We spent 6-9 hours per day out on safari in an open sided truck. Hippo pool was a great feature (if a bit smelly at times!). Service overall was excellent. It is a no frills resort. Rooms are a bit dated and there was a lack of regular hot water which meant we had some refreshing showers! Good array of food catering for most people and some decent wine to drink. Would recommend this place for an authentic safari experience, fabulous staff and the views whilst out on each game drive were fabulous.

We spent two nights at Keekorok during August 24. On the positive great staff including Judy in the restaurant and Lawrence at the bar. Room was ok , comfortable but dated Rhino Pool was a nice touch As for the food this was shocking , it was only catering for either Indian & Chinese visitors or vegetarian guests (as mentioned by other guests on trip advisor) .There was no continental food, we managed to get Judy to get us some plain grilled chicken on first night as that was the item that we could eat . Next morning no bacon but chicken gizzard…. for breakfast We raised the issue when we were staying there with staff and with our guide and on our return to the Uk. We have now been given a refund by UK travel provider as recognition of a product offering issue. If Keekorok want to target a different market for guests, that’s fine but do not let those expecting continental cuisine find it missing which is shocking for safari lodge.
Response from Property: Dear Guest, Thank you for sharing your experience with us. It’s great to hear that you enjoyed the service provided by Judy and Lawrence, and that you found the Hippo Pool to be a nice addition to your stay. We appreciate your feedback regarding the food offerings. It’s important for us to cater to the diverse preferences of our guests, and we apologize for falling short during your visit. Your insights help us improve, and we will take your comments into consideration as we strive to enhance our dining experience. Thank you for your understanding and for bringing this to our attention. Warm regards, Sanjeev Kumar General Manager

Jambo ! Amazing location (but smelly hippos)!!! You get used to it though. Mattresses could do with replacing as very lumpy (Janet helped me out with padding out with a spare duvet). Enough different food dishes to please every taste but a little bias towards Indian cuisine. Judy deserves a mention - she remembers everyone's name and room number and is very welcoming and friendly. A little shop selling snacks would be a massive bonus as between meals or if you missed a meal due to early safari there was limited availability of just cakes and coffee or sandwich to buy which was not to everyone's liking. Guests are clearly informed that they should get escorted to and from rooms after dark as there are no fences and wild animals come and go, which makes it even more exciting to know that they are outside your window. The safari experience was absolutely awesome. Our driver/guide John Lemurt was very knowledgeable and he went out of his way to make it a good experience for us. There is a swimming pool for guests and a spa but unfortunately for some reason this was not open when we visited. You have to remember this is a lodge in the middle of the Massai Mara, not a city hotel - power cuts happen, sometimes there might not be hot water when you want it. On the whole a great experience and we will return. Fiona and Gary
Response from Property: Dear Ms. Fiona, Thank you for sharing such detailed feedback! It's wonderful to hear that you enjoyed the location and had an amazing safari experience with John. We're glad Janet could assist with the mattress issue and that Judy made your stay even more welcoming. We appreciate your suggestions about having a shop for snacks and will definitely consider them for future improvements. Thank you for your understanding regarding the lodge's unique setting and the occasional challenges that come with it. Looking forward to welcoming you back for another adventure! We spent three nights at Keekorok at the end of a four-country trip for our charity, so we were looking for rest and relaxation while enjoying the beauty of the Masai Mara, which we definitely got! The high points of Keekorok: 1. The location is very good--we were able to see many animals within a few minutes drive and, indeed, right on the grounds of the lodge. Baboons and a hippo came right up to our lodging. (That's why after dark they tell you to call for an escort to and from the main building!) We saw 4 of the big 5 -- only missed seeing a leopard. Plus, so many other species! 2. The staff was fabulous and definitely the best part of this accommodation. Just unbelievable hospitality. 3. We booked Shoor Travel / Masai Mara Tours for our driver, but you certainly could have arranged the game drives right with the hotel. They also have a desk to book a hot air balloon ride should you want one. 4. There's an actual hippo pond on the property, which is fun to visit. 5. The main lodge architecture is lovely as is the attached patio. Really nice to hang out there on a rainy afternoon. 6. Gift shop has so many lovely things, plus necessities you might have forgotten. What needs improvement: 1. The food is provided buffet style -- and it was fine -- occasionally very good. But mostly it became redundant and focused heavily on Indian food--which makes sense because Keekorok is owned by an Indian Hotel Company. We appreciated the pasta station, breakfast egg/omelet station, and all the fresh fruit that was available. But overall there were some meals where we struggled to be enthusiastic. Food was plentiful, just would have appreciated more broadly international offerings. Nice that they offered free hot tea and coffee during the day out on the patio. Snacks like nuts or crisps/potato chips were always brought to us if we ordered drinks in the bar. (Again -- staff was absolutely stellar in their hospitality.) 2. We stayed in a chalet room -- and again it was fine -- but for how the Lodge is billed as an upscale location, the room didn't match that level/price. Mostly clean but a little rough around the edges. Bathrooms really need a refurbish ... shower had some interesting tile repairs that made it hard to discern if the corners were just badly repaired or unclean. Did appreciate the nice mosquito netting. So, we had a great time but just would expect a little higher level food and rooms.
Response from Property: Dear Guest, Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback! It's wonderful to hear that you enjoyed the beautiful location, saw so many amazing animals, and experienced exceptional hospitality from our staff. We're glad you made the most of your stay in the Masai Mara. We genuinely appreciate your insights regarding the food variety and the chalet room condition. Your comments will certainly help us in our efforts to enhance the experience for future guests. It's great to know you enjoyed the hippo pond and the lovely architecture of the lodge. We hope to welcome you back for another memorable stay! Warm regards, Sanjeev Kumar General Manager
