This hotel is under management of a grander Manila Hotel. Rooms are large and modern, the servgice ipeccable, and breakfast is great. It also has a very good Chinese retsuaryrant. Curiously, it does not have the bar. I stayed two months until it closed due to covid. It is only about ten minutes walk form large SM shopping centre . Highly recommended

The hotel is generally good, but the receptionist was quite disappointing. Her name is Cyril. I had booked a Deluxe room with a view of Manila Bay and paid online, so I expected my room to be secured as I have communicated with the hotel multiple times about it and even indicated my request upon booking.
After traveling on a 22-hour flight to the Philippines from another country, I was excited to see my room facing Manila Bay.
While I was busy with my three pieces of luggage talking to the bellman, another lady arrived as a walk-in guest. She went to the reception desk before me and booked a regular room. I overheard Cyril, the receptionist, upgrading this lady's room for free to a Deluxe room with a Manila Bay view.
After Cyril handed the key card to that lady, I approached her and reminded her that I had paid online and booked a Deluxe room facing Manila Bay. To my surprise, she informed me that the last room intended for me had been given to the other lady. She didn’t apologize at all.
Additionally, she overlooked my booking and only gave me a key for one night instead of the two nights I had reserved. Once again, she didn’t apologize. Throughout our interaction, she never smiled, was very unresponsive, and failed to make eye contact with me, which I found quite rude. She didn't offer to assist me or explain the breakfast arrangements or any basic hotel policies.
I felt overwhelmed and cried in my room because I was exhausted from the long journey and felt I had been treated unfairly by Cyril.
I hope the hotel takes the time to address this issue with the receptionist and provides her with proper training in hospitality, or she could become a negative asset for the hotel.

This is my second time this year to check-in this hotel The hotel staff are very hospitable, accommodating and attentive to their customer's needs. I commend Don at the Front Desk who nicely and warmly grant our request that all four rooms I booked on behalf of the delegates be in the same floor.
The rooms are all spacious. The breakfast is yummy. Looking forward when all renovations are done

I honestly expected more, based on other people's reviews.
Good points:
- was able to check in early
- accommodating staff
- room is spacious
For improvement:
- When i checked in, no towels and slippers were provided, just the dental kit. I had to call the frontdesk to request those. Even the complimentary coffee packs. The container was kept on the closet, i found it and asked why there was no coffee and stuff provided (even the tissue dispenser is empty).
- Frontdesk not responding promptly, had to call 3 times before they pick up the phone. When i requested the towels, I even had to call for a follow-up.
- Not enough viand at the breakfast buffet.

Really need to change the beds, there’s tiny bed bugs and when you lay on the bed you can feel them crawling. They uses centralized aircon, pros is save in energy/electricity however, at times it will get hot in the middle of the night. Or when you’re out whole day and arrive late. you need to inform the reception to assist to open the aircon.
Staff from their housekeeping, restaurant and reception were accomodating and helpful.

The staff here are incredibly friendly and always ready to help. Even though the building has an older charm, it's been well maintained. Our room was spotless, and we appreciated not having to request housekeeping, as they took care of it daily. We loved the newly renovated pools, which seemed to be heated, and the jacuzzi was the perfect place to unwind. The food was delicious, but keep in mind they have a dress code for the breakfast buffet and require proper swimwear at the pool. The only downside was the elevators — they were a bit slow on Sunday, but the wait times were fine on other days.
The WiFi connection isn’t the most reliable if you're planning to work, so it's a good idea to have a backup like a mobile hotspot. There's minimal noise from the renovation outside, but it's not too disruptive. The hotel TV is an older flat-screen but has all the standard cable channels. The AC works well, and all the essentials like the shower, faucet, bidet, toilet, and phones are in good working order. The bedding, mattresses, and pillows are clean and very comfortable, ensuring a restful stay.
*We stayed for 4D3N to unwind and celebrate my son's birthday.*

Very Good
GGuest UserWe stayed at Winford overnight to celebrate my brother's birthday. I could say it was a very nice experience. When we arrived, the room was already available. I even requested for a room on a higher floor and they gave me a good one. The ambience and lighting fixtures were really nice and the waiting area with sofa as well. We stayed at an Executive Suite. The room was also nice. It had a bath tub, separate shower and 2 wash basin. There is also another toilet upon entry but with watercloset and wash basin. The view was also nice though its more of houses and the rizal mountains. The pool size has a good size and not crowded and also heated. We had dinner at the poolbar since they have Acoustic band playing on saturdays. The service was a bit slow since there were lots of people and the food came from the ****** kitchen. Also, they do not accept room charging if it exceeds the 2k deposit. First time to experience this, good thing my brother brought his wallet. Food and liquor was good too. For breakfast, they also have a good selection however they do not have bacon :( sad. Nonetheless, the breakfast experience was good as well. They also sent a birthday cake for my brother. Check-out was fast too. One downside is the parking area which was on the 7th floor. It was a round swirl going up or down and caused us to be dizzy. Overall, i recommend this hotel. It is not very high-end but the service and people are good and facilities are nice. P.S. We were not able to go to the ****** as we have a kid with us.
GGuest UserAn unmined gem. Elegant old-world interiors with checkerboard floors in the lobbies and hallways, intricate wrought-iron railings, and beautiful Spanish tiles and brocade wallpaper in the suites. Some common areas, like the central courtyard, need a little TLC but are quietly lovely with trailing flowers and birds chirping above. The pool is a good size, not overly large, but with a great bay view. Parking is adequate for guests though might be a struggle if there is an event in the 1000-person ballroom. We had a gorgeous, comfortable corner suite with windows overlooking the bay on one side and the park on the other side. The giant king bed was luxurious and a delight to sleep on, and the huge bathtub was a treat for the kids. The hotel cafe has a delicious breakfast buffet featuring different regional dishes, and there is also a rooftop restaurant and bar with a perfect panorama for cocktails paired with the famous Manila Bay sunset. There are some quirky policies though, like the need to pay on the spot for ala carte orders rather than charging them to your room. Also because this is an old building, there is kind of a split floor plan where the hotel has two wings. Each wing has its own suites but only one has direct access to the poolside and spa, so if you're in the other one, you need to pass thru the lobby and transfer elevators to get there. It wasn't a dealbreaker for us, but is something to consider when you book. The best part though was the service. Every person was warm and gracious, and a real pleasure to deal with. Rushdee at the front desk and Prince at the roofdeck took exceptional care of our family during our stay. It is also walking distance to family attractions like the Manila Ocean Park, Museo Pambata, and of course Rizal Park. All in all a memorable and wonderful place to stay in the city of Manila.
GGuest UserThe hotel service is superb. No problem there. Swimming pool is a joke. It's not even inside the hotel. It's next to the stage and appears to have been the old place where they held their sea lions. Ginawang pool lng. The rooms are average. Biggest problem is that it hasn't decided if it's a room for kids and family or a honeymoon suite. The shower even when the door is closed leaks a lot of water so the entire bathroom is wet. The most disappointing is the actual Ocean Park. Limited animals and attractions. The show itself is limited to birds and 2 sea lions who do a few tricks for snacks. OK naman un show but the mere fact that they let their audience burn in the hot summer sun for 30min and the show is merely that is severely disappointing. They can't even pay for a good tent cover.
Mm5486896The location of this hotel is not good, there are shopping centers nearby, there are quite a lot of people here shopping, it feels a bit messy. However, the room itself is not bad, the double room we stayed in was quite spacious, the equipment inside was also very complete, the breakfast attached to the accommodation also helped us to the room.
JJClakwatchaGreat Place to Stay … Room is very Clean. Reception and Lobby is cute. Walking Distance. Budget but Excellent Hotel. Courteous and very Hospitable. Easy Booking. Location is near to our PLaces to go. Will sure be back.
MMike and Lea KlattWOW! Nice nice nice! Everything was great! Check-in went well. The room was absolutely awesome! We were upgraded at no charge to a suite. Also the food and all the food choices were wonderful! And the price? I don’t know how they do it! The price was so low! GREAT deal!
RRowel IsaacI have a booking from Jan 8 to 12 2024. I came around 3am. I couldnt check in because the system says im NO SHOW. I was asked by the Front Desk to wait till 2pm to have my room ready and i have to pay again. The customer service of REDDOORZ handled the issue very well. They checked in me in the system and i was anle to have a room in 15minutes. They reinstated my original booking. Only invalidating the day i didnt arrive. With regards to the room, there is an unusual smell inside. Smells like decaying flesh. Im not sure if it is in the AC or somewhere else like bed corners, sheets, comforter, or probably ceiling.
TTW2024Elevator to 5th floor and walk 1 floor up to our floor. Got room 613. Very long room so it’s good. Old room. The shower room is wet at the door whole night because that part is lower than other parts. Very good aircon. Having a basin to wash dishes same like in an apartment. Fast Wi-Fi. Reception lady spoke English not so good but we could still understand each other about the check-in, 1000 Peso deposit and registration. Room is not as clean as it should be and there are about 2 to 3 baby cockroaches. Noisy area as expected but no problem to me. Low room rate so it is ok to stay for a night. Right at Tayuman LRT Station. Walk into the road between greenwich pizza and Inasal
GGuest UserThis is by far the worst hotel I have checked in my entire life. Having traveled in many places and worked in the Maldives in the field of hospitality industry, I have by far experienced the worst customer service a business has to offer through this hotel. They have charged me early check-in of more than 70% of the value of a night's stay without properly informing me. I have emailed them three days before my stay and clarified if there will be an early check in charge and they did not inform me about it. I have communicated two times and I was never informed. They respond to my inquiry so slow like they do not value a possible booking. I arrived with my child (two years old) and they insist I pay the early checkin fee. As soon as we arrived in our room a big cockroach was crawling on the floors I had to kill it for the sake of my baby. I asked to room personnel to clean it. He just sweep it without disinfecting the Floor considering the remains of the cockroach splattered on the floors. My child have to walk barefoot no slippers were provided. The bed has black insects and the room has mosquitoes. There was no real or sincere hear to rectify the matter but just mere apologies. I kept quiet as I have an interview to attend to while I'm there but upon my check out I almost explode in anger. The staff was not able to grasp what I was trying to say upon check out that he has to ask his co staff in front of me ”ano raw?”. I find this very unethical and rude. They charged me for the towel that my kid has stained with candies. No consideration was given to a guest who is early checking in with a child, no appropriate information. I almost find the receptionist behaviour as sarcastic. I have paid almost 5,000 php to a cockroach and mosquito infested room whose staff are inconsiderate. Whenever I go out with my child's stroller nobody will even open the door for me. I wonder what makes them too busy focused on a computer. So far, staying in this place is worst experience and is worse than staying in a low cost motel. Being a backpacker myself and not much picky, I can tolerate the unhygienic cockroach and insects and being charged all the fees like they are too much into collecting money than giving a good experience for the guest but the attitude of the supervisor on that front desk and the whole experience is a nightmare I hope nobody else will experience.
