First thing first - this is my very first time staying in an old local hotel in Macau. I normally stay at the Sheraton Coltai because of my Platinum status. In the past month, I stayed in this hotel twice within a month solely because my friends have casino room voucher which costs something like USD 75 per night including tax and they like to use the casino here. I was very skeptical staying in a local hotel but with this price, my expectations were very low. Yes, the rooms are quite dated but they are clean.
The location is next to Sands and fisher wharf, a a Thai restaurant at fisher wharf is yummy.
2 bed room 1 living room suit is awesome! 3 washroom and one big dressing room!
Master bed room air-con might have some prob but everything else are sound.
You might need a cab for transportation but all-in cost justified considering the room rate.
Convenient Location & Easy Transport Access.
One of the best things about Rio Hotel Macau is its accessibility. Not far from the hotel, there’s a bus stop that provides easy access to Barra LRT station, making it simple to explore Macau’s attractions. Whether heading to the Historic Center, Senado Square, or the casinos, transportation was hassle-free.
Rio Hotel Macau offers luxury, space, and convenience at an excellent value. If you’re looking for a luxorious stay with easy transport links, this hotel is a fantastic choice. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Macau!
A refurbished hotel that keeps its nostalgic and preserved past in the present. A unique hotel that continues to maintain its antics which is a welcome experience for modern travellers.
Checking in and out was smooth with friendly staff, especially its Front Desk Manager, Mr Poon, who is very helpful and obliging.
Room was a bit small but accomodative, clean, air conditioned is cold, water pressure strong, toiletries well provided. The bed was super comfortable and my sleep was superb.
Breakfast was wholesome and you can choose either Chinese with varieties of dimsum serving or Western with vegetables, pork bun, sausages, ham and sunny side up eggs.
Location is central at Taipa where you can walk to St Paul's Ruin and the walking street within minutes. Its about 15 minutes walk to Grand Lisboa, the iconic building at Taipa.
Will return when I visit Macau again.
During our recent stay at the Holiday Inn Macau, where we booked two rooms for three adults and one child, we had a delightful time. The hotel’s prime location made it easy for us to explore the vibrant surroundings and nearby attractions. Our accommodations were spacious and well-maintained, providing a cozy atmosphere for our family. The staff stood out with their warm hospitality, always ready to assist us with a smile. We were particularly impressed by the breakfast spread, which catered to various tastes and was enjoyable for both adults and children. My child loved the pool area, which offered a safe and entertaining environment to unwind. Overall, our experience at the Holiday Inn Macau exceeded our expectations, and I highly recommend it for families seeking a comfortable and convenient stay in this lively city.
Good location to walk to the historical sites in Macao and the old Macao *******. Nice view from the room. Free shuttle across the street at Star World casino to the Cotai strip.
The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. I appreciate it and it is a pleasure to stay at the hotel. Will come back to stay again in this hotel.the room is very clean and we have requested the room not near to the lift lobby. Thanks 🙏
Review for Hotel Beverley Plaza
I had an overall pleasant stay at Hotel Beverley Plaza. The room was spacious and well-appointed, providing plenty of comfort during my visit. However, despite being a non-smoking room, there was a lingering smell of cigarette smoke, which was a bit off-putting.
The breakfast was enjoyable, with a good variety of options to start the day. The hotel’s location is excellent—just a 3-minute walk from the iconic Grand Lisboa, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the area.
