Hotels in The Old Town of Lijiang, Lijiang

Having Afei's help was the highlight of our stay at Songzhuju. We don't speak Chinese, but Afei was happy to communicate with us through WeChat and Translation apps to check in on us, coordinate the booking of activities and recommend shows, restaurants, souvenir options, etc. Afei was quick to assist us when we were a little confused about locations, when we were feeling unwell from altitude of our mountain day trip; and when we needed to reschedule timing of activities. The location is excellent; approximately 100m walk to the North Gate which is the meeting point for all our Didi pickups and dropoffs. It is right in the hub of Old Town so it's so easy to explore on foot and very safe. There were a mix of travellers staying at this accommodation; including people who could communicate in Chinese and also people who couldn't. We were in the Luxury Queen room. Our room was exactly what we needed for our stay in Lijiang. It was on the upper level which is just one flight of stairs up; with large windows looking down to the lovely courtyard. Tea on arrival, Complimentary Breakfast (traditional food: rice noodle soup, cracker, fruit, sweet potato) and complimentary pick up from airport (included with our room type) was so appreciated and made our Lijiang trip nice and smooth. There is a washing machine and dryer which we made use of during our stay; and there is a coffee shop attached to the accommodation as well. Thank you so much Afei for all your help in making our experience and this accommodation so memorable for us.

The room is excellent and is at end of a valley, which make it very peaceful and quiet to rest. Also around 5-10mins from northeast entrance. The mattress got heater and the room and environment was very classic making them so photogenic. The host is responsive and nice to help us carry our heavy bags to the room. Definitely recommended

The weather in Lijiang is absolutely perfect; I never wanted to leave! It was so pleasant chatting with the owner, and I really admired their carefree and natural way of life. Lijiang is definitely a place I'll return to. Mitu Inn is newly renovated with excellent facilities. Unlike other places where the hot water was inconsistent (either too hot or too cold), Mitu Inn has constant hot water, which is a fantastic feature. Enjoying tea and conversation there was simply wonderful.

The combination of ancient and modern design. Room is spacious and clean. Of course the owner is helpful and friendly. They provide authentic delicious Yunnan mixian as breakfast. Location is super convenient, walking distance to Zhong Yi Market & Lijiang old town South Gate.

This homestay really didn't disappoint me. The decoration style is the type I like. The flowers and plants in the yard and the decoration of the room are very distinctive. Traveling around is also very convenient, the boss is also very good, and any needs will be met as much as possible. Brothers and sisters come to Lijiang to choose his home.

This B&B is truly amazing! The environment is incredibly beautiful, and it's conveniently located. The hostess is incredibly welcoming, and we enjoyed a relaxing time drinking tea and chatting in the courtyard. The staff were even more amazing. Not only did they pick me and my friend up and drop us off, they also helped with our luggage and ran around like crazy, more attentive than any other B&B I've stayed in before. The entire B&B has a wonderful atmosphere, and I highly recommend it. My friend and I have already made plans to return and stay a few days to fully experience it!

Facilities: The mattress is very comfortable. I think the bathrooms are all branded and very high-end. They have goose down quilts. It’s great to sleep in during the summer. Hygiene: It's clean. My aunt cleans me every day. I can replenish anything I need at any time. The toilet brush is shiny and I don't feel dirty even if I lick it with my tongue. Environment: There is a small courtyard, which is like a garden. It is very good for taking pictures. It is just on the edge of Sifang Street, 20 meters away. It is truly quiet in the bustle. The location and the price/performance ratio are excellent. Service: Very good. We give you what you ask for. Even if you have nothing to do, you will drink and play cards with me. Even five-star hotels don’t offer this kind of treatment. Of course I lost👀 Private butler service: It's so good. You don't need to make a guide for where to go. Just ask the boss and everything will be solved for you. You can also join a group, join a bar, or join a meal with the guests you live with. It's so much fun. The location of the inn is very good, quiet in the middle of noisy, five minutes walk from the nearest ancient city, very convenient, the inn is the main street, it is too convenient to visit the ancient city, the inn is very elegant, clean, the boss is very good, very enthusiastic, personally pick us up at the ancient city, do not worry about luggage problems at all, We sent us a guide to visit the ancient city, very practical, very satisfying experience!

The boss is kind and cordial! It feels like home! When we travel with our children, we choose accommodation because we like clean and comfortable accommodation! Joy fits perfectly and is really clean! Take the stairs to the observation deck! Coming down is a bar street! You can take a taxi not far away! Great location! Will stay again next time I come! Very comfortable!

I was in for a surprise when I realized this hotel was located in the mountain. There is a pick-up/drop-off point at the top of the hill. It takes about 3-5 minutes walk down to the hotel. The hotel manager helped us with the luggage during check-in/out. To get to the ancient town, it’s about 10 minutes walk down. Along the way you will pass by other beautiful sceneries before arriving at a side street of the bar street in the ancient town. The rooms are a bit run down due to humidity, but it’s very spacious and comfortable. The hotel has a Very serene vibe. Very relaxing. I’m happy we stayed at this hotel, and would recommend fellow travelers (who don’t mind to hike a little) to stay here too!
