Hotels in Black Dragon Pond, Lijiang

Facilities: The hot water might be a little slow to come, but everything else was quite good. We stayed in a room with a bathtub, which was very comfortable, though the staff needed to explain how to use it. Cleanliness: The room was very clean. Although the hotel's style is more retro and traditional, the hotel's sanitation was meticulous and the room was very comfortable and tidy. Environment: The ambiance is fantastic, particularly retro and full of historical charm, with many cabinets showing traces of history. Service: The staff were very attentive. The hotel doesn't have an elevator, so the staff helped us get up there and even called a taxi for us. They were incredibly attentive and helpful!

The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the service was incredibly attentive and thoughtful. The airport/station pick-up service was very prompt. There's a quiet book bar, perfect for kids to do their homework daily. The treadmills in the gym offer a direct view of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain; if you run early, you can witness the breathtaking 'Golden Mountain bathed in sunlight,' which is incredibly therapeutic. Bottled drinking water was provided daily, and they generously offered a variety of refreshments, including flower cakes, fruits, rose tea, ancient tree tea, and yogurt. This Kaisen hotel in Lijiang is highly recommended, and our children absolutely loved it.

This stay experience really exceeded expectations! From the time we were picked up at the business center to the time we entered the hotel lobby, we could feel the enthusiasm of the staff. The driver, Master Wu, introduced the surrounding tour routes attentively. The hotel is also very conveniently located, not far from the scenic spots and business districts, and it is very worry-free to travel and shop. In short, whether it is service, environment or cost-effectiveness, there is nothing to choose. I will choose this hotel next time I come here, and I strongly recommend it to everyone!

The staffs are very attentive and helpful, kind, the breakfast is delicious. Another impressive thing is the clean room, the room preparation service to make sleep comfortable. My room is comfortable for my family and very convenient to walk around the bustling old town. The location is good, near the old town but quiet, you can walk to the flower garden behind nearby. The hotel has a beautiful and peaceful garden. The impressive afternoon tea with delicious rose cake with Pu'er tea helps improve the stomach system. Importantly, the soup before bed with fruit wine makes me sleep well. The hotel prepared activities for me to enjoy, but with my travel plans, I was quite full, so I couldn't spend time at the hotel during other activities. But I have to thank the warm and impressive welcome, especially 千禧, the hotel's housekeeper who helped us with sincerity.

We booked two rooms for four nights: a balcony king room and a 270-degree king suite. Our housekeeper, Xiao Xu, and the store manager were incredibly helpful and welcoming! The service was excellent! The B&B is located right next to Black Dragon Pond Park, just outside the ancient city entrance, so it's quiet. The surroundings are not commercial, which I loved. Just take a taxi and point to the west gate of Black Dragon Pond Park. (Picture 10) shows the lobby. Turning right leads to the west gate of Black Dragon Pond Park, while turning left takes you along the small bridge and water to the waterwheel at the ancient city entrance. The room was beautifully decorated, with a full set of Dyson and Jo Malone toiletries, and the bedding was comfortable. Breakfast was included, which was very convenient. The afternoon tea in the sixth-floor loft was excellent, with a view of the mountains. The scenery was amazing! We also booked a small group half-day tour to Yunshanping Blue Moon Valley with the hotel, and they also booked us for the Lijiang Eternal Love, with a perfect third-row seat. The location was fantastic!

The hotel was newly opened in 2025. The hotel lift reaches every floor, room was good sized, very clean and hygienic with good amenities (especially the free laundry room ). The room condition does 100% matches the description as you can see on the hotel website. We stayed in the hotel for a few days and were very impressed with the level of service. All members of staff were friendly and professional and the concierge was particularly helpful (especially thanks 小和 and小张 working at the front desk). The owner is a Naxi aunt who is very enthusiastic and make you feel like at home during my stay. We had a good breakfast experience with abundant food options, a clean, tidy kitchen and a spacious dining area. Hotel is very close to the Red Sun Square (红太阳广场) where is a popular pick up point for local land tour, Ancient City (丽江古城) and Waterwheel (大水车) is 6-8 walk. The transportation is convenient, foods and supermarkets around. There is a viewing balcony on the 6th floor. The scenery is beautiful. You can see Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Hotel provides train or airport pick up (for customers staying 2 nights and more ) is a value added to the hotel.) This will become my new go-to location when visiting Lijiang , Yunnan. I thoroughly recommend this hotel for those visiting Lijiang City, Yunnan China.

The hotel is 10 min walking distance away from the old ancient town of Lijiang, there are some restaurants around which are very nice. The Black Dragon Pool is 5 min away which is very nice. The rooms were clean and staff was friendly although they couldn’t speak English. The rooms have new and modern amenities which might seem nice but in our experience, some of them don’t work well or maintenance is required. The bathtub leaked water all over the room and the bathtub walls were filled with water which made the bathtub very cold. Some lights and appliances were not working. However overall a nice stay, nice views on the third floor

This B&B was truly a pleasant surprise! The lush green courtyard, with its seamless blend of classic architecture and modern design, creates a captivating scene in every photo. The brazier area and wooden seating create a warm and cozy atmosphere, perfect for basking in the sun during the day and relaxing at night with conversation. The rooms were immaculately clean, with excellent soundproofing, ensuring a peaceful and restful night. The beds were comfortable, the facilities were comprehensive, and every detail was meticulously thought out. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, actively answering any questions during our stay and making us feel right at home. The calligraphy, plants, and small details in the courtyard reflect the owner's thoughtful and thoughtful touches. If you're looking to escape the hustle and bustle and unwind for a few days in a tranquil and culturally rich setting, this B&B is the perfect choice. I'll definitely be back!

Stayed here for 4 nights and 3 days with a family of 4. Arrived at night 10pm+, and the staff of Ju She The House (Inn)were actively checking with us on where we are and if we would require any assistance in carrying the luggage’s to the inn. The room was beautiful, spacious and clean. And the customer service and support provided by the lovely staffs of Ju She was also top notch. They even made extra effort to help prepare some simple and early breakfast for us when we had days whereby we had to set off from the inn very early in the day to sightsee. They had a chat group that includes some staff of the inn, in which we could freely and easily request for any assistance when needed, and the staff were all very nice and polite when assisting us. They also had daily complimentary breakfast, afternoon tea and a small Chinese dessert soup with reminders in the chat group, which was a very lovely and sweet addition to our stay at the inn. Will definitely come back to stay again when we come to yunnan for our holidays. Kudos to all the friendly and lovely staff at Ju She The House. :)

When we started to get into the hotel, we were all impressed with the atmosphere. It is full of art and high quality decoration. The front staff provided really good service during our stay from the first day of checking in until the day of checking out. The room we stayed is nice and clean with plenty of sunlight from the wide window. Bathroom and toilet is all modern. The hotel has two buildings. You can enjoy the rooftop view at the top of one of the hotel buildings. On the clear day, you can have a good photo with Yulong Snow Mountain as a background. The hotel is also in a walking distance to Lijiang Ancient Town with a lot of restaurants during the way. You can easily enjoy the lively ancient town and back to have a good and quiet sleep at the hotel. One of the best thing at the hotel that we really want to tell everyone is the breakfast. There are so many choices of the food that we can enjoy without boring for our 4 days at the hotel. Every famous food that we should have in Lijiang, we can find it here. We would like to tell that this hotel is one of the best hotels in our travelling life.
