Paper thin walls and a ceiling that bounces when the people above walk around. 2am fire alarm which the receptionist didn’t seem to know what to do. Doors slamming and people talking in the main corridor through the night. Fair to say that I had very little sleep and will never ever stay here again.

Great location for where we needed to be. The receptionist was very welcoming and helped us with directions and even printed us a map. The only down side was the lift could not be called from bottom floor, our room was.on the 2nd floor but the lady on reception went up and called the lift for us which we appreciated as not as fit as we used to be.

I usually travel solo, and as I have stayed in many other Premier Inns, I decided to book this one as I was looking for something not too expensive as a stop over on the way to Wales. I think it would be fair to say this isn't Premier Inn's most top notch offering, but the room was as you would expect - i.e. clean and reasonably comfortable. Perfect setting at junction 24 so no need to go in to Newport unless you want to, and very easy to find. You can get a meal in the Beefeater opposite or there is a Macdonalds on the same site. The staff were super friendly and helpful - in the first room I was given I discovered the TV didn't work, but the lovely lady on reception relocated me to the room next door which was very kind of her - thank you.

Exactly what you would expect from a Premier Inn. Clean, comfortable, basic and affordable. We stayed one night and it met all of our needs. Despite being beside a very busy main road, it was triple glazed so you barely heard anything at all. Breakfast was in the Beef Eater next door. Vegan options were available but you had to ask for them. Soya milk also available if asked for. Breakfast was good value.

We had a lovely stay here over Easter. They had an event on for the children which they thoroughly enjoyed and kept them entertained for a while. Once they had found hidden Easter straws in the room they received a treat from the team, a lovely gesture. Rooms clean and tidy and staff friendly. Breakfast at the beefeater next door was really good value and we really enjoyed it.

Poor service, wouldn’t let us check in 8 minutes early. Rooms felt damp, towels were smelly. Hadn’t been cleaned. One of the beds had a stain and the tv didn’t work on certain channels. Place is run down. Wouldn’t recommend. Other places nearby with better facility’s

We came to stay for a week for a funeral in Newport and after previous good experiences at Premier Inn felt it would be a safe bet. We thought wrong. We were instantly hit with a horrible smell that they’re trying to disguise by keeping all the windows open. The bedding, and the floors, and after a while our clothing in the suitcases were just damp. Toilet smelled so awful I had to buy room scents to be able to be there and keep the windows open during the day. We were concerned that there was mold in the room. The room temperature control doesn’t work at all. Walls are paper thin so you hear your neighbors, ppl running in the hallway and stomping upstairs. Wi-fi is horrible. Forget working or watching streaming services. In order to do that you have to pay 5£/day for their premium wi-fi. There is no safe, iron nor mini-fridge, something we’ve been used to hotels this rating would have. The sofa bed had a massive nasty stain. Plus sides: free parking and friendly staff. Hot water and good water pressure. Bed was comfortable.

We are regular users of Premier Inn and stay in various locations throughout the year. You know what you are going to get as each is pretty much the same wherever you go. I felt the need to write a review for this disgusting hotel, booked 2 rooms at £140 each room for one night stay. Our room had a terrible smell to it. Peeling paint, moldy windows, sticky wall and everything felt damp, the Receptionist did say they had an issue with damp. The carpets were dirty and the TV didn’t work. In one of our rooms you could wipe green powder off the walls where the damp was, it was visible all over the ceiling too. One bathroom was refurbished the other was old and worn. We were moved from one room to another which also had its own faults. Feel absolutely robbed at the total price of £280! On the plus side, breakfast was one of the best we’ve had at Premier Inn!

At every turn this hotel disappointed me and was not Premier Inns finest hour. The hotel looked grubby and run down compared to others. The welcome consisted of telling me the TV's do not work. The restaurant team were keen to tell me no service after 9, spent more time out the back vaping, the meal was lukewarm, and breakfast was undercooked, and not the buffet, so no excuses. Truly awful with no redeeming highlight I can remember.

We stayed as part of a group for a conference. From the reception to the housekeeping staff they were all very friendly always greeting us with a good morning and how are you. The only downside was the tv’s there seemed to be a signal issue, this didn’t impact our stay as we were not at the hotel for a long period. Apart form that we really enjoyed your hospitality and will be back next year.

I loved staying at this hotel, it was so clean and tidy, my room was great and had a bed that was so comfortable. The staff were friendly. The Beefeater had a great menu to choose from and I enjoyed every mouthful.I will be returning soon and would highly recommend staying here.

After having a great stay in Abergavenny we decided to book a room here and have an extra night away as we had such a nice time. The rooms here are a little more dated than Abergavenny but the staff was friendly and welcoming. We had just as good of stay and the restaurant was equally as nice. Slightly different menu which gave us a bot more choice. We often stay away from home as a getaway but very rarely chose a Premier Inn. Its safe to say we are now converted.

Blood on pillowcase! They just changed the one pillow, but we felt uncomfortable in case all the pillows had not been changed. Floor had obviously not been vacuumed, lots of glitter and bits of detritus. This was reflected throughout the corridors. Bathroom clean enough. The usb socket didn’t work. Very disappointing. We were not offered any compensation for the dirty pillowcases.

The room was TIRED and in need of a makeover. The TV system was fit only for the bin. However the bed was comfortable and the shower was an enjoyable experience. Compared to an other Premier Inn it was NOT good value for money and I will look for a different place to stay on my next trip.
