Hotels near Gaienmae Station, Tokyo

Great choice for budget and location. Walking distance to many restaurants and Shibuya Station. Located among the bars and a couple of clubs close to the area of “love hotels”. Clean. Friendly staff. AC is either hot or cold only depending on season (centrally controlled)

Good location old capsule hotel. What annoyed me is the following. You need to check out every single day. You cannot leave anything in your capsule so you have to move everything twice every day. Let’s say you want to go to your room; you meed to do the following. Wait for elevator. There is probably a line so you have to wait for the second elevator. Then take off your shoes in a 1sq meter place with 5 other people. Then wait in line to hand in your shoe locker keys and get your item locker key. Then wait for the elevator again twice to get to your floor. This all feels arbitrary and unnecessary.

Goods Let’s start with the best. The staff. I arrived and had booked a room without shower or toilet since I had an important business call at the end of my trip the room was important so I wanted to upgrade. They helped me upgrade smoothly and everything was taken care of on their part. Since I didn’t sleep good on the third floor they even managed to give me the most quiet room on the fifth floor the day after. Everything went smoothly. They had free snack, candy, free coffee and drinks on the seventh floor which all tasted really good. The restaurant staff was very friendly and knew what they were doing. The food at the restaurant was to me the biggest surprise by how good it was. And although they don’t ask you how you want your meat cooked they cooked it to perfection each time. Including hamburgers which were cooked medium and not some overcooked mess like it most hotels. It’s close to the station an 10 minutes walking from Shibuya crossing and the Shibuya Sky. While I was there I got invited by a guy on the street S.O. @kura_uta he took me on an unforgettable ride to the famous car meet Daikoku for an unforgettable experience. That’s the neighbourhood it’s in. Bad The reason why I could not sleep on the third floor is the train. On the ground floor you can feel the floor shake. On the fifth floor it turned into a smoothing white noise but light sleepers have to take this serious. Especially if you have things to do. That really is the only thing. The rest was sublime. Core memories for sure.

We had a great stay at Shibuya Stream Hotel. The service was excellent, and the staff kindly allowed us to check in earlier, which we really appreciated. The location is very convenient and easy to find, with great access to transport and nearby attractions - Shibuya Sky. The room was clean, modern, and stylish. Overall, a very comfortable stay—highly recommended!

Stayed shortly for only a few hours as I had a flight to catch early in the morning. The bathroom was about the same size as the room itself. Comfortable bed but pillows were too soft. Prime location in Shibuya, out of the way of most of the noise and commotion but only a few minutes walk to the scramble crossing.

Simple but good hotel with all the essentials. It’s located in a quiet area, but with 2 train stations that are well within walking distance. There’s also a Matsumotokiyo and 24hr supermarket located nearby - super convenient!

Great location very close to Shibuya crossing. I really like how this was on a smaller and quieter road, yet at the same time very close to the busy entertainment area. This will be my go to hotel for all future trips to tokyo

The hotel room was quite small, and check-in wasn't available until after 3 PM. There are a lot of foreign staff at the front desk now, and it's difficult to communicate with them in Japanese. In the past, the Japanese staff were always easy to talk to. I requested a high-floor room when I booked, but I ended up on the 10th floor. This was also the most expensive room rate I've paid in over a decade. When I entered the room, there was an unpleasant odor. It took running the air purifier all night to make it slightly better. I used to like the restaurant on the 3rd floor, but it's no longer there. I could only dine on the 25th floor. This time, there was no queue for breakfast, so the hotel's occupancy rate probably isn't very high, which makes it even more frustrating that I didn't get a high-floor room.

The rooms was OK. But the noise coming from other floor or outside the door is annoying. Some travellers are just not considerate. Even in the midnight they can just walk like a T-Rex. When they carrying luggage and dropped it at 4am. And they making noise without hesitate. Other than that this hotel is good to stay. 9 mins walk to metro station. 3 mins to bus stop. 3 mind to convenient stall.

Generally the hotel is good, location is near the subway about 5mins walk and 7mins walk for JR. It is not facing the main road so its pretty quiet at night. The locker is suitable for hand carry size luggage, bigger size will have to be placed along the path or kept with the receptionist. They offer free storage during the check in day until check out day. One concerning point on hygiene, the towel and door mat are placed together each day for your usage, and placed in the same bin for washing. Some towel are tangled with hairs. The bathroom will be good to have some hooks for clothing.
