This is the most perfect B&B I have ever stayed in. Famous Kyoto pastries were served when I checked in. On the last day, which was close to New Year's Day, the owner of the B&B also gave me a small gift. The price-performance ratio here is so high. All the utensils in the B&B are very high-end. I will definitely stay here next time. Highly recommended!
Very comfortable room and bed, and great bathroom! It had a lot of plugs so it was easy to charge everything. I didn't have a view but that was ok! There were plenty of laundry facilities and microwaves if you wanted to warm something up and you could get delivery to the lobby. It has a very pretty landscaped entrance and is only 5 minutes from Shijo station (5 mins to Kyoto station) and 10 mins to Shijo Omiya station. There is also a bus stop right outside that goes all the way to Kinkaku-ji temple! You are 20 mins for Gion and 15mins from the main shopping area. Easy to find somewhere to eat in the evening and get breakfast.
There are free toilettes in the room but also in the lobby (lotion, cotton pads and cotton buds, iron etc) but the one thing I would have loved was UHT or fresh milk to be available. Yes there are markets nearby, yes there is an (unplugged) refrigerator in your room but I only wanted a little bit and this would have made my stay perfect. Still a great experience and definitely somewhere I would recommend for your stay in Kyoto.

Excellent location, good hygiene details, high cost performance, highly recommended!
Close to Nijo Castle, you can explore historical sites nearby. Buses and subways are quite convenient. There is a 24-hour restaurant next to the hotel, which tastes pretty good!
Special thanks:
Ms. Nishimura truly interprets the spirit of hospitality and is very professional at work. She helped me contact the backpack that was left on the Hankyu train and prepared an umbrella for us on rainy days 👍
Mr. Ishida also tried his best to help us.
The hotel service is meticulous and thoughtful, and it is definitely a trustworthy choice! 👍
This year, Kyoto's red leaf season ended a little later, and luckily booked a room far below the November price. This door is not big but there is a hole in the sky inside. It feels like there is a townhouse built in 4-5. Our check-in time was relatively late, and the small requirements made to the front desk lady were met. There are two floors, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Our couple is a bit extravagant. It should not be crowded next time we bring our parents again (it is estimated that it is inconvenient for both parents to come). The block is very quiet, not far from Nijo City, about seven or eight minutes from Omiya Station, we dragged our suitcases on the quiet street at night a little embarrassing: D. Overall satisfaction, if the price is right, I will choose next time.
Very suitable for a family, the store has turned on the heating in advance when checking in, very comfortable. In the kitchen operation position, the dining table and the tea table have floor heating, there are capsule coffee and tea bags, very close to the subway Erjo Chengqian Station and the bus Asahikawa Yuchi Station, the traffic is very convenient. Located in a residential area is quieter. It must be said that the lack of water is that the water from the wash basin faucet is relatively slow, and the water basin is very shallow and it is easy to splash water. It will be the first choice to come to Kyoto again.
We stayed at the hotel at the end of September. The hotel is located near Omiya station, but about 20 minutes by bus from Kyoto station. There are chain supermarkets nearby. The hotel room is quite standard. There is air conditioning, a refrigerator, a kettle, a TV. The windows do not open. A simple breakfast is provided in the lobby. Rice porridge on water with Japanese additions and grain coffee from a coffee machine or tea. Unfortunately, only 1 key card was issued for 3 people. On the 4th floor, the wi-fi practically did not work.
Best toilet in all the hotels we’ve been to during our trip in Japan so far. Spacious shower stall with rain shower included. WiFi was also very fast, and so strong we could still get a signal from across the street (password required of course). Room was also very clean and comfy. Service staff were very helpful and polite, and also proficient in English.
This hotel has a perfect location. It has many bus stops around. There is a 7 11 at the basement and Sukiya in front of the hotel. The hotel room is big for Japanese standards. The room is clean and big. The only downside is they don't clean rooms everyday they change the towels and throw the trash. We stayed there for 3 nights. I enjoyed our stay, Bonus is, there was a quick snowfall around its vicinity. we will definitely go back if we go back to Kyoto.

AAppleWThe hotel has only four rooms, each with a separate two-story design.
Since it opened in 2024, all facilities are new and clean.
The overall feeling is very old-fashioned, very comfortable
As soon as you enter the room, you will smell the fragrance of tea.
Free gas wine, beer and tea are also available in the room
The hotel also offers rental kimono and massage
On the same day, a rental couple kimono was arranged, and a special person brought the same kimono for choice, and wore the set head directly in the room. After the installation, you can walk about 15 minutes to go to Erjo City to take pictures and visit, which is also a good choice.
In addition, a massage was arranged that night, and I have to say that it was really in place and very comfortable.
The only downside is that there will be fewer choices for nearby restaurants.
EElsa程This time I stayed with a friend. The room design is really superb. It's just a little inconvenient if there is no car, but I can still accept it. After all, a comfortable stay is the most important thing.
NNINGHUAVery nice homestay! The decoration is super taste and retains the flavor of the Kyoto Squatter, the view of the small yard and the wooden bucket bathroom are really amazing. Compared to the hotel, this kind of bed and breakfast with several bedrooms and living room and washing and drying machine facilities is too suitable for our family with baby, very homely and convenient. Although the location is not in the city center, it is also convenient to travel, and there are many foods around. Of course it would be better if the price were lower.
GGuest UserThe hotel is very cost-effective. The design style is very good. The twin room for family travel. The sofa in the room can sleep one adult. It is very comfortable. There is a supermarket next to it. Breakfast can be solved. It is convenient for travel
BBINGXIANDetached house. The small courtyard is very chic. The bathtub is outside and not cold at all. We ordered with breakfast, but someone would come here in the morning to make breakfast and watch the whole process. Drinks and coffee are free. In the residential area, the rooms are quiet
OOscarlaiFacilities are fine. But without face mask like previous hotel that I stayed at. The location of the hotel is a bit far from center of kyoto which takes 15 - 20 minutes to be there.
Anyways, overall score for the hotel is still high since the staff are nice and polite, the breakfast I enjoyed is good!
WWuxiaojieeeThe location of the hotel is great. Different bus stops surrounding the precinct. Stayed in a single bed room and had a wonderful stay. Room was spacious enough to open up my luggage fully and still have space to walk around. Bath tub available as well. Managed to get bath bomb from nearby supermarket.
GGuest UserFairly good hotel. They don’t allow you to store bags after checkout which was quite unusual. The check in process was also not very smooth with a computerised self-check in which didn’t work for us and no staff in sight. Eventually someone did come out from the back to check us in manually.
Room itself was adequate and quite clean, if a little cramped.

Since staying fit is important to a lot of guests, it's no surprise that gyms can be found in many hotels.
Kyoto Brighton Hotel and Yadoya Nishijinso
are some popular hotels with gyms.
