Our first trip to Japan and Kyoto. Originally, we wasn’t sure if it was a good idea to book a local brand hotel rather than a western hotel, but this was a great choice after 5 nights stay. Very clean, convenient, professional service and staffs, etc.

Two regrets: 1. The hotel's gym and swimming pool are charged to Ctrip guests.

The hotel is in a very good location, right inside JR Kyoto Station. The front desk is right in front of the north exit gate and the escalator is the front desk.
The front desk spoke English fluently and communicated smoothly. Check-in was fast. Because there was a phone meeting at noon when checking out, I asked the hotel to delay check-out until 1 o'clock, and they agreed very readily (free of charge).
Probably because I booked a smoking room, the room was far from the elevator entrance and I walked for a while. But the room was very large and spacious, with a huge openable window, which was well ventilated after opening it. The smell dissipated after a while after smoking.
