The location is OK, about 10-15 minutes walk from JR Nijo Station and Private Railway Nijo Station. There is a 7-11 convenience store and a supermarket on the second floor nearby, which can meet simple dining needs.
The only drawback is that there is no luggage storage service after check-out

For ~£50 a night it wasn’t terrible. Room was clean and reasonably spacious, amenities provided and bed was big and soft.
We did want to extend our stay by a night but the female receptionist was clueless, spent 10 minutes trying to find us in the paper system so we gave up and ended up going elsewhere.

I really don't recommend staying here. I thought that if it's a chain hotel, at least the hygiene would be okay. But it was too dirty. The room was full of dust. The quilt cover was half a set, not a full set. You would definitely touch the dirty spots while sleeping. It looked like the quilt and mattress had never been changed. If you're afraid of getting sick, don't stay here. The price is not low!

It's a very simple Japanese economy room with decent facilities. It's close to the bus station. There's a "Chinese Cuisine" nearby, where the owner is from Dalian. The noodles and other dishes are pretty good. It's quite comfortable. Unlike Si Tiao where there are so many people, it's a relatively quiet hotel with a public laundry room.
