이번 여행의 목적은 에이스호텔을 경험해보는게 목적이었어요. 그래서 교토라는 도시를 선택했고, 대지진의 이슈와 이런저런 이유로 취소를 할까도 엄청 고민했지만, 취소가 안되서 그냥 갔어요.
여러 매체를 통해 에이스호텔의 장점이 너무 좋게 느껴져 방문했지만… 전 기대가 너무 커서 그랬을까요? 실망스러웠어요.
아이가 커서 무조건 방을 업그레이드해야 한다는.. 그리고 엑스트라 베드까지 사용해야해서 추가 금액까지 결제하고 보니 1박에 70만원의 금액이었어요. 사실 이 금액이면 다른 좋은 호텔도 가능했겠지만, 에이스호텔 하나만 보고 시작한 여행이라…
그런데 데스크도 뭔가 매끄럽지 못하고, 힙함을 가장한 아마추어 같은 에티튜드… 전 감성과 스토리에 충실한 디자이너였지만, 그 모든걸 희생하더라도, 만족스럽지 못한 서비스와 공간이었습니다. Lp음악도 세심한 큐레이션을 기대했는데. 글쎄요…세심하고 힙한 공간이라는걸 느끼지 못했어요.
욕실의 수압도 별로고… 방은 생각보다 아주 평범했어요.
하지만 스텀프타운의 커피는 기분좋게 하루를 열어주는것이 아주 좋았어요. 건물과 로케이션은 맘에 들었구요…
전 다시 교토를 간다면, 재방문은 안할거같아요.

酒店更像是有點設計感的名宿，房間裏設施一般，牆上都是劃痕，化粧間櫃子還有灰塵，細節做得非常一般，勝在位置不錯，離地鐵站很近，樓下都是精品小店，2500+rmb/晚性價比實在不高。

京都ACE艾斯酒店是來自紐約新鋭潮奢酒店ACE的亞洲首秀。京都ACE所在建築的前身為始建於大正時代的京都中央電話局，後由日本著名建築大師隈研吾操刀設計改造。既保留了建築本身的歷史感，又完美的將美式生活方式與日式精緻融為一體。酒店是“新風館”的一部分，一層連接了多家商鋪，地下一層則與地鐵相連。房間內的吉他和黑膠唱片機是最大的亮點，在各種細節上也很有設計感。二層有個小型的健身房，沒有泳池。一層有美國著名的Stumptown Coffee。早餐是定食套餐，味道不錯。各部門服務都很熱情周到。
