I stayed in a four-person room. The mattress and quilt were very comfortable. My roommates were both German and Japanese. They were all very quiet and polite. A very clean traditional Japanese hotel. It was a good opportunity for me to experience Japanese home life. The boss was also very nice. It was raining in Kyoto and I checked out. She also gave me an umbrella. I would recommend everyone to stay here. It might be troublesome to carry heavy luggage. There is no elevator. Live in Deyanagi-cho. There are Kyoto University students everywhere at night. Pay attention to soundproofing when sleeping. There are also many delicious foods nearby. Be sure to take more walks.

Clean and nice hostel in a quiet area. A bit far from the center, but there is a metro station nearby. Also nearby is a supermarket. I liked the room for 4 guests and the spacious common area. Showers and toilets are in good condition.

The futons, shared spaces, and bathrooms were clean, the room was warm, and there were plenty of handy things like tissues and hairdryers, so I had a comfortable stay. As a dormitory, it was perfect and I slept soundly. The owner and staff were kind and reassuring. I'd like to use this hostel again if I have business at Kyoto University.

It's a 6-minute walk from Demachiyanagi Station, and there are convenience stores and supermarkets nearby, so it's a good location. There is a kitchen in the shared space on the second floor, which is very convenient for those who want to cook for themselves. There are also free drinks, manga, and books. The third floor is a dormitory space, and it is air-conditioned and clean, but in the case of mixed-gender accommodation, the upper bunk beds are not completely separated, so there is no privacy, which is a bit tough, especially for women. The lower bunk beds have curtains that can be closed, so I think they're fine... There are showers and toilets on both the second and third floors. It's good when it's not crowded, but if it's crowded, it may be a hassle to wait in line. There is a curfew, and you can't go out until 6:00 in the morning, so it may be a bit inconvenient for those who want to go out early in the morning.
