I had a really great stay here! Location is slightly out of the way as you would have to walk about 20 minutes to Kyoto train station but it has its perks as it’s in a quiet and dainty street thus, really peaceful.
There’s even a park to visit just 5 mins away from the hotel.
The room is huge and very clean! Would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone, but do book earlier as they only have 5 rooms in total.

It was the prettiest, neatest, and most stylish place I've ever stayed. In particular, there was a small garden, so I was able to feel the unique Japanese sensibility. Both the bedding and bathroom were clean and comfortable to use, and all the staff were friendly. If I have another trip to Kyoto next time, I will definitely stay here again. It's not well known, but it's quiet and close to Kyoto Station, so I really like it.

Nice place
The room was very large and nice. Good location. Four stars because the staff was around only at odd hours. Very difficult getting help. They provided us with incorrect information about their ability to help us transfer our luggage from Kyoto to the airport.

Quiet hotel off the beaten path, HARD beds
Pros: quiet, clean and modern, relatively large room, nice lighting, affordable
Cons: limited front desk hours, window faces a wall, heater was malfunctioning, beds were harder than other Japanese hotels
I liked the aesthetic of this hotel room, but I won’t stay again due to the uncomfortable beds. I like a firm mattress, but this felt like sleeping on a slab of concrete.
That, coupled with a heater that wasn’t working, is the reason for the 3-star review.
