The hotel was around a 5 mins walk away from the Yubatake spot, there were less shops around this area but also this gave the place its calmness. Staff were able to communicate in English

The place is relatively far away. It takes about 16 minutes to get to the bus station. There is a large slope and it is difficult to push luggage. You must ask the staff in advance to call a car to pick you up.
For private hot springs, you have to leave your hotel and go to the three-star sister hotel (Wano-yado), which is very dilapidated.
The meal is not delicious. It looks ok, but it is not delicious. There are other better options. Just dinner outside.
The house is clean,

The location of the hotel is not very convenient and the hotel area is very small. The staff are not Japanese, they are from India and Pakistan, and their English pronunciation is not very standard, making it a bit difficult to communicate, but they still work hard to serve. However, I won’t choose it again next time.

Although it was far from the center, it was a quiet and comfortable accommodation.
The food is also very delicious, and the Joshu beef sukiyaki is an unforgettable taste.
Otaki no Yu, one of the three hot springs, was right in front of us, making it an easy place to conquer the three hot springs.
I was a little disappointed that the public bath was small, but I was able to relax enough.

It was the first time I came to Kusatsu Onsen. The weather was very cold. It took about ten minutes to walk from the station to the hotel. The hotel staff were very attentive. The room was clean and there was a terrace. It cost 2,500 yen for two people at their own expense. A 50-minute private hot spring bath. Price Reasonable, 85 points for dinner food, first-class service, 80 points for breakfast buffet. Overall B++

Review for Thai people Because most of them are Japanese here, walking distance from the Bus Terminal is not more than 10 minutes (young children and the elderly are not recommended for snowfall because walking must be careful slippery)
Spacious room, twin bed, very clean.
Shampoo, body wash from mikimoto are available.
Personally, I like facial cleansing foam. Wash your hands in the same place of pola.
There is a combined onsen bath and sauna in the same place.
buffet breakfast Not a lot but good quality
As for dinner, you have to walk to eat somewhere not too far away.
But on the day of the stay there was snow. Therefore, there is a hotel car to deliver to the place.
It is a large restaurant with hot pot, sashimi, desserts.
The set style is delicious. There are hotels to choose from around.
what time to eat (If anyone goes for a walk around the city
recommended to eat outside so you don't have to hurry)
Summary Overall is considered good. Would be better if the dining room was
In the same place and should have a private onsen would be great.

One stay and two meals. The dinner was very rich and the waiter was very nice. However, it is a little far from Yubata.

Aeruyado Takamatsu in Kusatsu This hotel markets itself online as a boutique hotel in Kusatsu. However, upon check-in, we realised that it was very far from any nice boutique hotel. The room was so small and spartan that we had to move small pieces of furniture out to the tiny balcony in order to accommodate our luggage so that we had walking space. The room pictured online which we booked was not honoured. The room allocated to us faced the car park with no view and a glaring street lamp shone right into our room whole night long. They offered pathetic value for a package of over JPY 42,000. Food was bad. Dinner was served in another hotel which they called Sister Lodge which was a good 5 minutes walk away. Imagine if it was raining or snowing heavily, it would be so inconvenient to walk to the dinner place. Dinner offered was buffet with some set items. The quality of ingredients and taste of food served was not on par as the ones offered at good ryokans, and for a package of above JPY 40,000, it is way below par. Breakfast was again pathetic. We had a choice of mains selected from 3 options given (2 slices of roast beef or scramble egg or omelette). The roast beef served was tiny and tough. The scramble egg served was too watery. I had to request for a change to omelette. The rest was buffet from a small spread. We went to more than 10 ryokans for this trip. The room and board offered by this hotel was the worst we encountered. Everything was below par standard provided by any decent Japanese ryokan for the price tag. The pictures on the website was deceiving and the actual outdoor hot tub was much smaller than the pictures. I will NOT recommend anyone to stay at this hotel. A strong NO NO NO!
