Kunming Wuhua District 5-star Hotels

The hotel boasts an excellent central location, right in the heart of the city. Stepping out, you're immediately in a bustling commercial district, and the pedestrian street, packed with dining options, is just a short walk away – incredibly convenient! The front desk staff were incredibly warm and friendly, and they even offered a complimentary room upgrade. Our room wasn't particularly spacious, but being on a higher floor, it offered fantastic views, especially the beautiful city nightscape. However, waiting for the elevators could be a bit slow. The room's amenities were comprehensive, and we were generally very pleased. The only minor point for improvement was that the toilet seat didn't seem thoroughly cleaned, despite disposable covers being provided. The breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes, though the taste was just average.

This was our second hotel in Kunming. Compared to the dazzling variety of unique guesthouses, an established star-rated hotel often doesn't stand out as much. My husband even echoed my thoughts, saying, 'Let's just go with this one.' At first, I felt that paying over 600 RMB here didn't quite offer the same value or 'Instagrammable' charm as a 500+ RMB guesthouse, and it lacked anything truly special. However, for business travelers or anyone needing a truly good night's sleep, it's an excellent choice. The double-glazed windows provide superb soundproofing, and the hotel's service, bedding, and attention to detail are all quite commendable. I wouldn't recommend it for a leisure trip, though, as there isn't much to explore in the nearby old streets. For hotel visuals, it's best to check their official photos, as I only took a couple of quick snaps.

This is a historic, vintage-style hotel. The location is superb, right at the main entrance of Cuihu Park. Kunming Old Street is just 1 km away and easily reachable on foot, with the route dotted with popular photo-op spots. While the hotel's facilities are a bit dated, they contribute to its historical charm. The service from this established hotel was absolutely impeccable. From the moment we stepped out of the car at the entrance, through check-in, and all the way to our room, a dedicated staff member was with us. We were quite touched, even a little embarrassed, that an elderly gentleman insisted on pushing our luggage all the way to our room. Upon check-in, we were offered peach gum and white fungus soup, floral cookies, and fresh fruit. The buffet breakfast was also quite varied. Several well-known mushroom hot pot restaurants are also conveniently located just outside the hotel, within easy walking distance. Highly recommended.

The hotel is ideally located near Nanping Walking Street, with plenty of unique restaurants and cafes within a 500-meter radius, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. The rooms are quite spacious and spotlessly clean. The front desk and service staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful; before we even headed out, they thoughtfully reminded us to bring rain gear, as Kunming often experiences occasional showers. As an IHG member, I not only received an extra discount on the room rate, but they also kindly arranged a complimentary breakfast for my accompanying child. The value of IHG membership truly continues to impress. I will definitely prioritize recommending Crowne Plaza to any friends traveling to the area in the future.

Every stay has been improved, and it is still the duty manager Ms. Zhang Jingwen who coordinates from check-in to check-out, which is very considerate. The room facilities are complete, the air conditioning has a high heating speed, the shower fills quickly, the service response is very timely, the drinks in the refrigerator are relatively rich, and the bedside is equipped with a USB cable for guests to use free of charge. There are a few small suggestions for service. When delivering fruits into the room, you can simply tidy up the guest's room with the consent of the guest, such as: tidying up slippers, tidying up beds, tidying up towels, etc. (only suggestions). Kunming has a dry climate, and the room is very dry after using air conditioning. See if you can prompt whether a humidifier is needed according to the guest's situation.

I stayed for 4 nights and was very satisfied, so I extended my stay for another three nights. The front desk staff kindly informed me that booking online was cheaper than booking directly and that I could even keep my original room. They also gifted me some fruit and delicious snowflake crisps. The room windows had screens, making it easy to ventilate the room. The bathroom was clean, and the hairdryer was compact and effective. I particularly liked the good quality shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel with their pleasant tea fragrance, which were mild and non-irritating to the skin. There were plenty of wooden hangers in the wardrobe, along with a safe and a mini-fridge. Several full-length mirrors were convenient for trying on clothes. The buffet breakfast was exceptionally plentiful, and the hours from 6 AM to 10 AM were conveniently long. The restaurant itself was spacious, bright, beautifully decorated, and clean. The hotel's surroundings were beautiful, with the stunning Cuihu Lake just outside the entrance. The area was dotted with shops, making it convenient for dining and shopping. Taxis were also easily accessible.

The service is meticulous and the environment is comfortable. I will come again next time! The location of the hotel is very convenient. It only takes 26 minutes to walk from the subway station. There are many restaurants and convenience stores around, which makes traveling and playing very worry-free. The front desk service attitude is particularly good~ I took the initiative to help upgrade the room type and introduced the surrounding guide in detail. The room aunt cleaned very cleanly and replenished mineral water every day, which was very considerate. The room is more spacious than expected, the bedding is soft, the hygiene is perfect, the sound insulation effect is also very good, I slept very well at night, the Wi-Fi speed is fast, and the office and entertainment are very smooth. The hotel facilities are very new, the gym and restaurant experience are great, the breakfast variety is rich, especially the Yunnan cross-bridge rice noodles, the taste is superb! It is really worth it to live in such a quality at this price. It is suitable for both business trips and vacations. I will choose here next time.

Facilities: The room came equipped with a fridge and a safe. All facilities were comprehensive, truly living up to its star rating. Cleanliness: Housekeeping was very prompt daily. Ambiance: The hotel has a terrace. I happened to witness an outdoor wedding taking place there, and it looked quite lovely. Service: The front desk staff were very friendly – excellent! The absolute best part is the location – it's superb! It's surrounded by shopping malls, and the hotel's first floor connects directly to one, making shopping incredibly convenient. It's also very close to the busiest pedestrian street, just a 10-minute walk away. The only downside was the lack of a self-service laundry room. They only offer a paid laundry service charged per item, which was exorbitantly expensive – almost enough to buy a new piece of clothing!

JinLangYuan Hotel is a very nice hotel. Hotel is very clean and centrally located. The hotel looks modern, with just one calling ”siao tu, siao tu”, you can commend to open aircon, tv, blinds and lights. Rooms are big with complete amenities. Breakfast is sufficient with variety to choose from salad, congee, noodles, sandwich, pastries that comes with coffee and tea. Hotel personels are quick to respond to our requests with smile. Lots of eateries and stores just outside the hotel. JL hotel is just across the NANpING pedestrian street, where one can shop, dine and do other activities, very accessible to transportation. Will surely stay in this hotel when in Kunming.
