Halekulani Okinawa has definitely exceeded our expectations, mainly by the following reasons: Service: The hotel offered great first impressions to us, as mango smoothies were offered to us during check in, which was a nice touch to the experience of having a tropical feel even before exploring the whole resort. Also, we were given a free upgrade by the hotel workers, which definitely leveled up our experience. Design: The hotel has used the same design as the resort in Hawaii, including the signature orchid flower pool. This really made our family feel like we have been instantly transported into a tropical paradise. The hotel has also been designed to mix in with the spectacular view of the sea and sunset. Size of the hotel: Halekulani has a total of 5 pools, 2 blocks of buildings, which gives us a good time to actually explore the hotel instead of knowing what’s where in one single glance.

Parking - 10/10: The parking area is available for a reasonable fee of 1000 yen per day. It is conveniently located just a 5-minute walk away from the hotel and has ample parking spaces. Additionally, the hotel provides frequent transport service between the hotel and the parking area. Environment - 10/10: The surroundings are well-maintained, and the facilities are clean and in good condition. Kid-friendly - 10/10: The hotel is exceptionally child-friendly. Upon check-in, the front office staff provided my son with a kid pack, and the facilities are thoughtfully designed to cater to children's needs. The cleaning time was very random and did not follow the schedule, and the hotel staff came into the room to clean without prior notice. I was a bit dissatisfied. Since I had notified the hotel through Trip.com before departure that I would arrive very late, but when I arrived, I found that the front desk was closed, and there was no prior notice from Trip.com or the hotel about the key collection arrangements, which made my group very panic. Fortunately, I found Trip.com customer service to find the password. Thank you to the customer service and compensation for helping me handle it that day.

This is a great small homestay, with only five rooms in total. The atmosphere of the whole homestay is mainly pure white. The room is very clean, and has its own private infinity pool, you can soak in the pool to enjoy the atmosphere of nature. Hotel location in a relatively remote place, must drive to reach. The restaurant itself has no service for meals, but the young owner will recommend nearby delicious breakfast, dinner. Really to own experience, only to find it and other restaurants different.

First of all; we stayed during the winter (Christmas holiday) so we did not use the swimming pool and water sports facilities, so it is difficult to evaluate the hotel facilities🙏🏽 Regarding the hotel, the hotel staff are very friendly and courteous. The receptionist and the staff who assisted us in taking photos of the car can all communicate in English. The room is very spacious, with two bedrooms, a living room, a terrace and a kitchen. The terrace faces the sea and the corridor outside the door faces the golf course, which makes it feel like a vacation. For breakfast, we chose the buffet breakfast. The food was average, but I really liked the Taco rice that I could mix with myself 😂. In terms of location, it is about a 10-15 minute walk from the main street with the food market. The street is dark at night, so be careful when walking out for dinner.

The hotel is comfortable, nice beach and good pool facilities. The breakfast has enough variation and good quality. For dinner or lunch there are plenty of good options very close outside of the hotel. However, for being a resort almost no services are included in the price and you have to pay for almost anything. For example, at the beach there is no place to seat and if you want a normal chair you need to pay. Similar thing in the outdoor pool with certain types of sunbeds. The access to the indoor pool/gym/onsen is also charged. For the price of the room and the type of hotel, I would expect these kind of services to be already included in the price to make it more convenient for the guest.
