He gave us a detailed tour of our rooms when we checked in, booked reservations for us at his favorite local spots and gave advice on how to best spend our two days on the island. When the weather changed our plans, he repeatedly checked in with us with helpful updates. After we told him we were going to hike in shiratani unsuikyo the next morning, he knocked on our door an hour or so later to give us a lighter and salt in case of leeches! He also gifted us a hefty bag of tea the morning we left. Don’t hesitate, this is a really special place and Nakashima-San is a deeply caring and wise host.
