Park Hyatt Hotels in Kuala Lumpur

We upgraded to a suite. The overall design was nice, with everything you'd expect, but as a basic suite, I didn't notice any special features (other amenities aren't available on higher floors yet). The 99th floor has an infinity pool 🏊♂️, a spa, and a 24-hour gym 🏃♂️. I'd especially like to mention the friendly lifeguards at the pool, which really added to the experience (the pool is open from 6am to 9pm, be careful with the slippery surface!). There's also a jacuzzi, sauna, and salt sauna hidden away in the locker rooms 🧖 Breakfast has an à la carte menu, and some buffet options, but the selection is much smaller than other places. I recommend the à la carte option 🍽️ 🍫Cacao Mixology & Chocolate, the tallest bar in Kuala Lumpur, has very professional staff. I recommend the Cacao Coffee Martini (pictured 7) and the Coconut Highball (pictured 8) 🍸 It's a shame I didn't have time to eat at Merdeka The Grill menu looked quite good, and the hotel's dining options are open to the public, but guests are definitely prioritized. Issues: 🧺The room wasn't cleaned on the second day. I was out all day, and I'd requested some cleaning in the morning. When I returned that evening, it hadn't been touched. I later arranged for staff to come and clean it, but honestly, they were perfunctory. ⏱️Check-in/check-out did take a long time. It seems the front desk has a lot of new employee training and the SOPs aren't fully implemented. The two female managers were quite reliable. 🪠The bathroom drained extremely slowly. I overflowed after showering on my first day. I contacted the front desk at 3 a.m., and they sent two ”engineers” with a toilet plunger to poke it. They said it was fixed, but it continued to overflow every time I showered. I reported this daily, but it remained unresolved until I checked out. 💡 The room's lighting controls were unstable, especially the main control, which often didn't respond. I even experienced a power outage. After some research, I found that flipping a single lamp switch fixed the issue for the entire room. As a newly opened hotel, while there were a few quirks, I was still satisfied with my stay. If you're considering a stay, I suggest waiting until the end of the year to resolve any issues.
