Located just beside The Westin, easily accessible to Pavilion Mall and within walking distance to TRX. The unit is big and come with fridge, microwave oven and washing machine. The housekeeping is excellent and the housekeeper staff, Hussin, is friendly and helpful. The master bedroom comes with a city view on one side with the other side facing the walls of the hotel. The water pressure is great and the water can be very hot if the lever is turned to the red dot. So be careful if you do not want to be scalded.

Night receptionist were really friendly and nice. This morning only a male Chinese staff was working. Showed the typical Chinese black face like he was suppose to have his rest day but had to work. Very bad body language. Generally the hotel is old, amnesties were very limited, the breakfast area was small and limited as well. The staff’s at the breakfast area had communication problems with China tourist, didn’t seek for help or use anything for translation, showed bad body language due their incompetence as well. Hotel can be 5 stars, but service is below acceptable, maybe acceptable for a 3 star hotel
The area is good, very near to TRX. For woman solo traveler, it might look scary because the area is a bit dark and quiet, as it is not in the main road, but worry less, the area is pretty safe.
The room is so clean and neat. It was perfect for solo traveler, not too big and not too small. For couple, this hotel can also be your top choice. The most disadvantage is the room not being soundproof. I can literally hear next room boiling their water, showering, and laughing. Other than that everything is good. Perfect if you only visit your hotel for sleep at late night and wake up early.
Location wise is super walkable to many landmarks like Bukit Bintang, Alor Street, TRX, and Pavilion.

Location is good, just next to the Taman Connaught MRT Station with covered walkway all the way. However you must choose the deluxe room if you want to have a window. Otherwise, the Superior rooms have no windows. Only a couple of stores are still operating on the downstairs of the linked mall next door. There's a nightclub in the mall , and the noise throughout the night could be devastating depending on the room allocated.
Originally booked the 2-bedroom suite in their residence building, but unfortunately, there was no functioning air conditioning despite several attempts to fix it. It’s Malaysia—how could we sleep in the heat?
However, instead of focusing on the inconvenience, I want to highlight the exceptional service provided by the front office manager, Christy Moo. She handled the situation with incredible patience and professionalism, even when I was understandably frustrated and disappointed. She went out of her way to help, moving us to the hotel building and personally ensuring all the rooms had functioning air-conditioning so my parents could rest well after a long flight. The next morning, she even delivered a fruit platter to apologize, showing how much she genuinely cares about her customers.
The rooms were spacious, with connecting options, and featured amazing shampoo and toiletries. The breakfast was delightful—loved the nasi lemak! The hotel even has an in-building massage place, though we didn’t have enough time to visit.
One downside, however, was the disappointing attitude of one concierge staff member—a Malaysian gentleman with a chubby belly. On one occasion, when I came to pick up my Grab order, he was handling suitcases and blocking the way. Despite politely asking him to let me through, he told me to use another route instead of assisting me. He didn’t even hand me my Grab order. Another time during checkout, while we struggled with three big suitcases, he didn’t offer help or even open the door for us and instead walked away. His poor attitude and lack of respect for his job left a bad impression.
Overall, it’s a mixed experience, but Christy Moo’s exceptional service truly stood out and made the stay memorable. If I come back, it will be solely because of her!
Had a one night stay with my family at Dorsett on may 2025.
In terms of service, i would like to give a credit to Encik Agil at the reception. Very thorough and thoughtful, easy to discuss with and patient with us.
Room : beautiful executive suite with comfortable bed, pillow and sofa. Bathroom is exquisite.
Pool: my kids enjoyed the swimming pool..clean and well maintained.
Gym is okay, my husband said it is well equipped for short stay.
Kids room need to loan the toys from counter, otherwise the room alone is nice, clean. My kids enjoy running.
Breakfast spread is adequate (expected from a 4 star hotel) and delicious but the pastries bit cold, wish to have freshly baked pastries.
Checkout was fast. Parking at valet for rm20 only.
Lobby is beautiful but bit small.
I had a wonderful overall stay..thank you again especially to Agil from the counter.
