The place is quite lovely, and the staff is polite mand always ready to assist the guests. It is super clean and tidy, and the food is amazing. However, there are things that I cannot overlook. The Internet is one of them, we did not have an internet connection at this hotel. The wifi signal is horrible. There are too many ants. We had a room on the fourth floor, and they managed to climb up there. If you leave some food on the table or a desk, there should be an ant party within 30 minutes. The place is kinda old, it doesn't feel like a four-star place. Some things are outdated. The restaurant is pretty expensive compared to the other restaurants close by (mango sticky rice is 200 compared to an average 100 outside)and the beach bar was closed due the renovation. We had fun here and we will be back. I highly recommend this place for families. This is not a critique but a guideline on how to improve. Cheers!

We've been coming to this hotel since it was names the Sea View. The new management has done some great things, but hopefully they'll continue their improvements. The service is stellar, from the moment you walk through the door, to the time you leave, everyone is helpful, professional, and happy to help. The beach is clean, the area is quiet, and it's never crowded. Ideal for anyone looking for a calm place to read and relax. Every room faces the ocean, and the views are stunning. The two areas of improvement are:
Renovating the rest of building B. It seems that the first floor has been renovated, but floors two and three are still the same ones like before.
Improving the breakfast. The previous owners offered the best breakfast on the island. The current breakfast seems a bit quickly put together, not befitting a place like the Sylvan.
In spite of these two things, we would stay there again and again.

The hotel is cool. Different types of rooms. Everything is clean, cozy. Two pools, few people. The views are gorgeous. You can go kayaking for 150 baht per hour to the neighboring island.
Cons:
Average breakfasts.
The sea is shallow and in the morning there was always low tide in the sea and it was impossible to swim in the sea, if you go up to your knees then there are stones (corals), our legs were hurt. Maybe at this time of year it is only like this, and at other times it is better, but this is not certain))
The location is remote from the village, you can walk by sea when the tide is low. If you go by tuk tuk then it costs 100 baht per person.
Conclusions: If you want privacy, nature, good views then take this hotel. If you want to walk around cafes in the evening, etc. then this hotel is not an option. Only if you have a bike

Very clean, freshly renovated rooms (building K). Each room has a hot pot kettle. But mattresses are quite hard. Fresh water, shampoo, toilet paper and trash bags daily.
Good breakfast buffet. Always different kinds of one of each: soup, fried rice, noodles, vegetable and chicken dish. Three types of fruit and salad bar. However, there is only one person preparing eggs and pancakes, which results in a long queue. And only instant coffee.
Location is nice, but the hotel doesn’t practically have its own beach (as well as pool, sun beds and beach towels). During the low tide, it’s impossible to swim due to bushes of seaweed. The beach is nice for morning swims and evening walks. Also elephants are brought there for a swim multiple times a day.

The exterior looked a bit dated, but the interior was excellent. It was very reasonably priced with great service, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and cheerful. I was personally very impressed. The hotel boasts a private beach for swimming and a swimming pool, making it perfect for guests seeking privacy. Plus, car rental services are available right at the hotel, so there's no need to search elsewhere!

Good hotel, although not new. Convenient location with many cafes and shops nearby. The territory is good, a lot of greenery. Breakfast is modest, the main diet is eggs in different versions. In addition, vegetables, fruits, herbs, pastries.
Two pools: in a large one, it seems, sea water. We did not swim there, as the water is very warm, not at all refreshing. In a small one, the water is better, clean, you can freshen up)
The beach is very beautiful, but not swimmable at all! Stones. You can enter only in coral slippers. We did not swim in the sea near the hotel.
There are kayaks, the use of hotel guests is free.
The staff is friendly, as are the locals.
But special thanks to the girls at the reception. Very hospitable, friendly, always ready to help!! And thanks to the hotel driver, he also helps with luggage upon arrival and departure! Very pleasant and helpful!
We will stay at this hotel again! ❤️

Удобное расположение в центре побережья на границе между дикими пляжами и благоустроенными. Сам отель - одноэтажное здание с секциями тайстайл. Интерьер спартанский но все чисто, без насекомых и запахов. Заселялся дистанционно - позвонил, сказали номер комнаты. Выезжал так де. Депозитов не берут. Большая проблема с парковкой.

It was such a pleasant stay located in Kaibae which is my favorite area when I stay in Koh chang. The price is too good to be real comparing to what you get, free breakfast, clean nice budget room, very polite staff, great location, 4 pools in the property?? It's just insane to me!!

The breakfast in the hotel is average, but the sea view is not bad. In the small house on the second floor, there will be elephants passing by the sea around 4pm, and you can ride an elephant for a fee. The beach on the seaside is quite fine. If you have good water quality, you can consider putting on a life jacket to swim to the opposite island in the morning. I heard that you can rent a boat at the hotel to ski over. Even after the late rising tide, it’s too far and tired. After going out from the hotel to the main convenience store, there is a restaurant that is delicious and cheap.

ААлёна ТWonderful hotel...great beach within walking distance. Well-kept garden on the territory. Lots of delicious cafes nearby and wonderful massage parlors. Next to the hotel is the Elephant House, where you can feed them, they are also taken to the beach to swim. Tea and coffee are available at the reception 24 hours a day. The houses are clean, pleasant, cozy with air conditioning, refrigerator and TV.

PpartyonGreat hotel. Big, clean rooms, good aircon, decent wifi, and really nice balcony (though could use better furniture). Standard Thai bed, but more comfortable than others. The pool is bigger than it seems and clean; of course it is right by the road, but it's not too bothersome. The staff doesn't speak a word of english, and are not the most helpful, but the older ladies sass is charming in a way. The only issue was the noise from walking street right across the road, 1 of the 3 nights, the music was super loud until 3am. And by super loud, I mean I'm 30's stay up late partying all the time - it takes a lot for me to say that, and it was still crazy loud. Luckily I had earplugs, but could still feel the music through the bass. The other 2 nights, the music was toned down around midnight. There is a laundry place 50m away. No close walkable 7/11 unfortunately, but a 2 min drive. Check out the restaurant called โชคดีซีฟู้ด (copy and paste that to google maps) near Chokdee Resort, it's out on the water on stilts and had a nice vibe, great for sunset and not too expensive.

IIvanovAndreyDid come late in the evening. The options were few at a good price, this hotel is one of them. Excellent owners - met and quickly arranged. The room liked - big and convenient. The condition is certainly not 3-4 stars, but normal and correspond to the price. The area is fun - there is something to do) There is also a great bar with the same name - live music in the evenings and very alcoholic and delicious cocktails. I will try to come in again when I am at Co Chang.

王王On the last day of staying in Koh Chang, the location was good. There was a buffet 100 meters away. Many people ate at night. The room was smaller than the other hotels I stayed before. . Although you can see the sea near the hotel, there is no beach at the hotel. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the beach of Kabe. You need to go around the road. There are many narrow cars. It's almost the same as a big hotel, it's worth it.
