We enjoyed our stay here. Easy access from highway, but a very difficult drive to nearby Archanes, which has lovely restaurants. Katalagari is a country village. Some guests may complain about highway noise, but we found it to be really “white noise” and very quiet at night. Rooms overlook lovely pool and patio. The view of the olive orchards and mountains in distance is gorgeous. Good spot for a night or two, especially if you are heading to southern Crete. Service is fabulous as is breakfast

The Katalagari country suites are located in an ideal spot for vacations overlooking the plain with olive trees and vines planted in harmony like Tuscany. The building structure of the hotel is a surprise. In the form of an Italian small palace with the color of the building the same as many Italian buildings. A green environment with a perfectly homely garden and the hotel's operation is automatic. Special mention to the staff for their impeccable behavior confirming the Cretan hospitality. Breakfast with high quality ingredients and a list of flavors for the whole day next to the pool. In this small village there is a hotel of European standards for family holidays with children.

An absolute gem of a hotel! The staff are so friendly, breakfast is English/continental buffet including some Cretian offerings. The rooms are clean and traditional, the pool is so welcoming! It is a quiet hotel not far from the main coast road, perfect location (yes there is a road just in front but it is hardly used so doesn’t really affect our stay).

A true gem. This small hotel has everything. Lovely rooms,well kept gardens and a nice pool. A very good breakfast included in the price. 3 nice restaurants within walking distance. Most of all the staff is outstanding. Small things make you feel so welcome. Some people mention the road. It is there but did not bother me at all

What a special place in the interior of Crete! We slept in a type B room, booked through Eliza was Here. It was a fantastic spacious place, with everything we needed. The view is breathtaking! So special to be in this place, because the towns in the area are not very (remarkably) touristy. It feels as if we enter directly into the lives of the people from Crete. Every morning you are serenaded by millions of crickets. Quite a bit of sound, but also very beautiful! The people are very helpful and warm and the swimming pool is cozy with comfortable beds. We had a great time!

Très bel endroit à l’écart de l’effervescence pour visiter la région, bel accueil, belle chambre/flat spacieuse et pratique et beau petit déjeuner. Le personnel est aux petits soins pour que votre séjour soit parfait. Dommage qu’il n’y ait pas (encore) un restaurant sur place ;)

Cet établissement situé à une vingtaine de minutes d Heraklion et du site de Knossos est constitué d une dizaine d appartements indépendants. Celui dans lequel nous avons logé était un Premium Suite. Nous avions une chambre spacieuse, une salle de bains douche qui donnait directement sur la chambre sans séparation et d un grand coin salon avec une kitchenette. L ensemble était propre et fonctionnel. Une belle terrasse complétait l appartement. L établissement et les logements ont du charme, l espace piscine (non chauffée ) est agréable ainsi que la zone petits déjeuners. Le personnel est accueillant. Le petit déjeuner est servi sous forme de buffet avec de produits locaux ( dommage que le miel et les confitures servis soient industriels ). Cet établissement, niché dans la campagne crétoise aurait tout d une petite perle mais il comporte 2 inconvénients majeurs. Le premier est qu' il n y a pas de restauration proposée après 18h. Il faut donc obligatoirement sortir pour manger. Comme l hôtel est en pleine campagne, il faut soit aller dans la ville voisine soit trouver les petites tavernes du village alentour. Cela permet de faire de belles découvertes car nous avons trouvé ainsi une taverne très sympa mais si vous y passez 1 ou 2 nuits, pas certain que vous ayez envie ou le temps de jouer les explorateurs. Le second inconvénient qui pour moi est majeur c est la construction d une voie rapide aux pieds de l hôtel. C est très dommage pour cet établissement. Ainsi de notre terrasse nous avions le droit au bruit des voitures qui passent dans les deux sens toute la journée. Du coup, le charme bucolique de la campagne en prend un coup .
