Cantonese hospitality at its best! The family who runs the place masters the art of taking care of their guests. We posses a limited Chinese vocabulary, but with the help of a translation app, and their eagerness to make us feel at home, we had a great time. The rooms are spacious and clean, we travel a lot and this was one of the most comfortable beds we have slept in while being in China. All amenities are supplied (including a snack box in the room!) and everyone has been helpful in ensuring we had all we needed. Breakfast was generous with many local dishes, ones we, as foreigners, most likely wouldn’t have tried on our own. The location is very convenient; Zilicun entrance is a 8 min walk. You can easily spend the whole morning in Zilicun to enjoy the scenery before it gets too hot. Afterwards we came back to enjoy lunch at the homestay - the restaurant serves tasty food. In the evening the scenery is stunning, a lot of effort has been put in landscaping the garden and the towns main buildings are perfectly illuminated. The family’s generosity, together with the facilities and the cosy performances at night made our stay very special. Thank you again!

This hotel was opened December 2023. So it is relatively new. The services were good, the room was nice and big with a few new technologies such as powered drapes, electric toilers.  Robot for water/shaver delivery (cute).  It is located near the biggest mall 東匯城 (1.2km) in Kaiping. Lots of restaurants there.   I would stay there again if I ever go to 開平 again.

The hotel room is very clean, the pillows are very comfortable, and the location is on the edge of the scenic area, but the scenic area is not big, so it doesn't have much impact. Because I live in the scenic area, I can arrange the evening schedule very easily. After watching the wonderful sparks, I can slowly enjoy the night view of the scenic area. The only poor experience is the shuttle bus arranged by the scenic area. When there are a lot of luggage, they can't lend a hand to help put it down, or guide to put the luggage down. It is indeed a bit lacking in human touch. Although it is a commercial scenic spot, adding a little humanistic care may attract more repeat customers😏

Stay in the same hotel again after a few years， the furnitures and sofa become a bit old. The room is still clean and comfortable. The view is comfortable and beautiful. The weather is a very hot and the receptionist is very nice and give us some bottle water to drink.

The first night was at Meitang, and the second night was at Chaoqi Parent-Child. The two families belong to the same group, so you only need to check in once. There is no need to register again the next day. Chaoqi Parent-Child has a children's paradise (wave pool, slide, etc.) and There is no restaurant in the splash area. In the morning, you can choose the buffet on the first floor of the Mei Tang Hotel opposite or the morning tea street in the snack street. However, most of the morning tea streets are open-air without air conditioning. It seems that the upper limit of 158 yuan per person is used to eat. The room is really healing. Choose Went to the slide room. There was a slide at the door and a bed inside. It was a big place and there were basic children’s picture books. There were cute furnishings everywhere. I guess because it was a parent-child family, there was no desk, not many charging stations at the bedside, and no USB charging. The service is also very good. The staff will help bring luggage to the room, which is very considerate. But if you want to go to scenic spots, you will still choose Meitang. Meitang is close to Iron Flower and Peace Square, and Peace Square is close to Dangdang Bus. .

Although the price is a bit expensive, it is still acceptable after deducting the budget for two tickets. Kaiping Guild Hall is located in the ancient town of Chikan. The accommodation prices in the town are generally higher. After contacting the hotel by phone in advance, you will be informed of the detailed check-in process. First go to the parking lot and find the electric shuttle bus station. There is a luggage storage area next to it, which is very eye-catching. Show the check-in order and the shuttle bus will take you to the hotel immediately. After checking in, add the butler on WeChat. All precautions, performance times and locations, food, drinks, and entertainment, etc. will be sent to you every day. If you need anything, they will respond to your requests. The room is in a building next door, with the words ”1926” written on it. It is a century-old building with a Republic of China style, and is beautifully designed and decorated inside and out. The room is fully equipped with air conditioning and hot water. We booked a room with a balcony, next to which is the ”Three Diaolou of Longxing Street”. After the lights are turned on at night, the night view of the ancient town is particularly beautiful. The hotel also has a free ”script-killing” game project and provides free Republic of China costumes. Stayed for two nights in a row. The scenic area was very quiet in the morning and evening. It was a great trip experience.

和朋友兩人的短途旅行，沒有開車，看網上攻略説沒必要住古鎮，通過這一次，我個人建議住古鎮，在官網選擇了榮安旅店以為是很一般的，沒有抱太大希望，結果是很令人驚喜的一個旅店，大門口有專門的觀光車送進來，本來是榮安旅社給我們升級了長盛旅店大床房雙人房，寬大，衞生，配套完善，雙床房有兩張古鎮門票，古鎮特別大，遊玩➕看5場演出，兩天剛好，演出和打鐵花都特別棒，酒店服務特別好，雖然是淡季，兩個人平坦費用才200多，簡直太划算，已經安利給身邊朋友，有空都去這個有特色有演出的古鎮遊玩。

The room decoration and hardware are pretty good. Chikan Ancient Town is also worth a detailed visit, and the quality of various performances is very online. But the hotel has no sense of service! From the entrance to the room, we changed three battery cars. My parents are over 70 years old. My father's legs are inconvenient and he needs to sit in a wheelchair. We have two suitcases, three or four backpacks and a folding wheelchair. It is very inconvenient for my father to get on and off the battery car. I booked this hotel because the hotel has pick-up. As a result, I changed cars three times to go to the room. The elderly had a hard time getting on and off the car. The big and small bags of luggage were moved up and down, and finally checked in. The name of the hotel I booked was not the name of the booked hotel! I booked Chikan Ancient Town Yujian Qilou Inn Hui. I showed the Ctrip order at the door and was sent to Yujian Qilou Inn. After swiping the ID card, it said that the room was not here. After waiting for five minutes for the battery car, I was sent to Chaoqi Parent-Child Hotel to check in and store the luggage, but the room was not here yet. . . . Let's go play first and wait for a phone notification. Come back and wait for the battery car to deliver the room. I'm so angry! ! ! Three hours later, we finally got a call saying that the room was ready for check-in. We went to Chaoqi and waited for another ten minutes for the electric car. We were taken to the entrance of Paris Hotel. Then we had to walk through the lobby of Paris Hotel, through the alley, up the stairs, and then we were taken to a place called Diaolou Hotel. How many times have I been sold to someone else? Should I complain? Isn't this a case of selling dog meat under the guise of sheep? There were a lot of people everywhere during the Chinese New Year. My dad's legs were not good and he moved very slowly. Our time was precious. As a result, we wasted so much time waiting for the electric car three times and moving the luggage on and off the car three times! ! ! When we arrived at the place where we were staying, it was understandable that the old house had no elevator. We said we would put the wheelchair at the front desk on the first floor, but they said they didn't have anyone at the front desk. A man who didn't know what he was doing said that you should have left the wheelchair at Chaoqi just now. Is this human language? Do you have any common sense? Do you have any sense of service? Standing there, not asking to help move the luggage, but making sarcastic remarks! Should the wheelchair not be placed somewhere else with the disabled person? ! Don't book this hotel anymore. I don't know what's going on. The place I stayed in doesn't match the name I booked. The front desk switchboard and lobby manager's phone are always busy. You can't find anyone to ask anything. The room costs more than 1,000 yuan a night and there is no service at all. I have never encountered such an annoying thing in Ctrip's booking for more than ten years. It's too much!
