The hostel was very cozy, the staff was super friendly and helpful. We were served tea and fruit by our arrival while waiting for the room to be ready (we arrived too early). The rooms are beautiful, no matter which one you choose (we had 3 rooms altogether). The environment is awesome, very green, you can walk around, there are facilities for children. The hotel has a small outdoor pool. We had a blast there!

Wow! Such a wonderful place to stay. The location is just right and the view when sitting out on the terrace was beautiful. The rooms are spotless and the service was just so welcoming and accommodating. The staff don't speak any English, but they go out of their way to ensure all our needs were met. Breakfast was lovely with traditional Chinese foods, all fresh ingredients. We also ate lunch and dinner here, the food was some of the best Chinese food I've tasted and the quality of ingredients were fresh, vegetables and fruits grown locally. In the evening we had a nice dip in the pool too. Its just a shame the fine weather didn't last. Thank you for such a wonderful stay.

Stray Clouds Villa is a fantastic place to stay in Jiande, especially for those looking to take a break from city life and enjoy some time in the countryside. The owner of the hotel lives in Singapore, but handles registration for foreigners remotely. The three women who work at the hotel are lovely and make sure that each guest is treated with the same generous hospitality. My only suggestion for foreign passport holders looking to stay here is to establish contact with the owner in advance by adding his WeChat (same as the hotel's phone number) to share documents required for registration at the local police station including passport information page, current Chinese visa, most recent entry stamp, residential address in China, and phone number. This will decrease the time needed for check-in. The hotel itself was spectacularly clean and the rooms were spacious. The hotel is just minutes away by foot from Tuanyun Pagoda (抟云塔) and Wenchang Pavilion (文昌阁), two of Xinye Ancient's Village (新叶古村) most recognizable landmarks. The nearest bullet train station in Lanxi, Jinhua is currently closed, so it's best to take a bullet train into Jiande Station (建德站) followed by a 70-90 minute Didi directly to the hotel. Highly recommended for a weekend getaway!

The aunties and uncles in the homestay are very friendly, just like old friends! The room is very clean and tidy, the owner is very attentive in decoration and maintenance! The homestay is full of greenery, and the balcony of the room looks out from the tower of Xinye Village. It is within 1000 meters of the Nantang of Xinye Village on foot! Came out with my parents, very satisfied! Auntie's dinner is very good, the freshly caught chicken is very delicious! Super five star homestay.

The owner of this homestay is a Singaporean Chinese and a university teacher. He carefully built this homestay with his experience, knowledge, taste and aesthetics. In the ancient village, a modern, stylish, tasteful and cultural leisure place has been built in the strong local flavor, which is very interesting. The owner is very attentive. The design of the room and the layout of the environment are quite stylish and can be tasted carefully. I like the 600-year-old camphor tree at the door very much, it is lush, full of vitality and very beautiful. Folks in the village say it is an auspicious place, and tourists can also get some light. Vacationing here is very pleasant. Thank you for your diligence. I will visit again next time.

After the epidemic in Shanghai, I wanted to go out with my wife. I chose this B&B on Ctrip. I was very pleasantly surprised after I checked in. The whole yard is beautifully furnished, and all the supplies in the room are no less than that of a five-star hotel. In particular, the waiters are very considerate and the food is exquisite. The taste is suitable, the ingredients are reliable, and there is also a mini swimming pool. The swimming pool is very comfortable to be alone in the field. There are Xinye Village and Tianye lotus pond nearby. The niece and the couple also came to stay for one night, and next time they want to experience it in a different season.

After visiting Qiandao Lake, I temporarily decided to visit Xinye Ancient Village. Because it was a temporary reservation, the room I wanted was not available, and I chose a room that I was not satisfied with by mistake. Fortunately, the pleasant scenery made up for the deficiency. The environment of the homestay is very good. Because it was in a hurry, I didn't have a deep understanding of the feeling of living in the mountains.

The four families traveled together with two children, so they booked two family rooms. The independent tatami upstairs is a paradise for seven children to play. They like it very much. God, children are really easy to satisfy. When a few children get together, they are happy no matter what they play. It is rare to see such a family room design, which adds a lot to this hotel. However, the swimming pool water is not very clean, and there are small bugs that will bite people. I hope this aspect should be strengthened, otherwise the experience will be discounted.

The location is good, there are only 3 or 4 parking spaces at the entrance, and there is a parking space at the entrance of the village for a while. The room is not big. But the surrounding is good. Suitable for a quiet daze. Staff are nice.
