"Very close to the Fox Glacier view point and the hiking start of Lake Matherson. The room was spacious, clean and warm, the facilities were simple, and the public kitchen did not have tableware and cooking utensils. There are several restrooms in the park, but only the central location has a kitchen and bathroom. There are three female bathrooms and three toilets."

"The room is quite big and clean overall. There is a kitchen dining table! You can take pictures of the Milky Way directly outside the room at night! The front desk staff is very nice and helped me book a hike on the Fox Glacier! This is the back door entrance to the hotel. I didn't take a picture of the room."

"The room is not big, but it has everything you need and is clean and tidy. This is the only hotel you can choose in Fox Town. This hotel is pretty good. The breakfast provided needs to be self-service, but it is well prepared. The service is quite considerate and they specially recommended the best location for viewing the glacier for us."

"Parking is very convenient, the room is standard, the back door can be opened, there is a small green area outside, facing the snow-capped mountains directly, and unexpectedly saw the scenery of the sunset over the Golden Mountain. The lady at the front desk can speak Chinese, which is awesome. The hiking guide she introduced is concise and effective and is of great help to us."

"The hotel facilities are average, but they have everything you need. The location is very good, on the main street, very close to the meeting point for glacier hiking, and only 5 minutes walk from the trail where you can see fireflies. The boss is very nice, answering all questions and introducing us to many surrounding attractions. I forgot to mention that the boss is Chinese, and I felt very close to him because he could communicate in Chinese."

"The location is very close to the location of the walking glaciers. The password is unlocked. The first sign of the church is still reserved. It is very prominent on the door, the glass is good, the kitchen and other equipment are OK, and the wine is prepared... the attic can not live. Look at the mountain, there is a chair on the top... The air conditioner is not strong enough, the space is empty, and the wind can be felt here in the washing machine position below, but on the sofa, the curtains are pulled up for the first time, and the three sides of the glass are lit. At the same time, the same heat... Lifting the hair of the existing electric fan ceiling fan is not bad, relieved... At night, the back of the bed is not against the wall, there is a beak on the opposite side, the glass can still be accepted, lying down and found that the top is red! Individuals will fall asleep after fatigue! It varies from person to person..."

ZZuiaiyouThe environment is beautiful, surrounded by rainforest, glaciers and lakes. The facilities are a bit long but clean. The kitchen is fully equipped and very relaxing. But there is nothing for sale in the small town, and the items in the canteen are very expensive. Saw lots of free fireflies

GGuest UserThe male receptionist who greeted us was not particularly friendly; and only when we got to our first floor room did we read about a luggage service. The room was tastefully furnished and clean, and other staff we interacted with were friendly. However the biggest issue is that the walls between rooms are are paper thin so we could hear people next door and doors banging. This woke us up early on both nights we stayed. If you stay - bring ear plugs. There was a lounge with a bar - the bar was permanently closed so there was no where to get a hot or cold drink unless you went to a cafe down the road.

Hhhwb888The hotel is right next to the departure point for the Fox Glacier helicopter, and you can walk there after checking in. It rained when we came so we couldn't make the trip, but the hotel itself was pretty good and the room was large. The only drawback was that the water pressure was very low and the shower was not very comfortable. Breakfast is a Western-style buffet breakfast, which is not rich but enough to satisfy you. You can have dinner for white people at the whitepub coffee shop next to the hotel. It costs NZD 25-30 per person and the taste is okay. Hotels in Fox Glacier are generally expensive. After 11 days in New Zealand, this is the only one with a price over 1,000.

GGuest UserGenerally clean. Nice large room with fridge and TV, although only half the channels worked. No microwave which should be included as the restaurant appears to be indefinitely closed. There are several restaurants near which are good.
Very quite location so overall a good stay. Only way onto glacier is by helicopter which is costly.

GGeinvpengyoujiuyaomaimaimaiIt's just a normal motel with a public kitchen and good hygiene. It's a place where I'm passing through. The front desk is very welcoming. There's a parking lot. There are restaurants and supermarkets nearby, but they all close early.
