I have two feelings about this stay. 1. The photo posted by this website was a lie - the room was very different to the reality. For a start there was no in room onsen and that had been a major factor in me making this booking. I was really disappointed on arrival. 2. However it has to be said the staff are fabulous, the food excellent and everything about the place shows a tremendous attention to detail. After a lovely long soak in the Onsen available to guests and a fabulous dinner my mood was quite recovered. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel for someone looking for a luxurious retreat and plan to return myself.

Activities: Chinese-speaking guides can be requested for tours of Ise. The hotel didn't email us in advance to inform us about activities or inquire about arrangements. Many activities were unavailable upon check-in. Summary: Aside from the inconvenient transportation and the lack of advance email communication about activities during my stay, everything was fine.
