"I originally planned to leave a 5-star review because the hotel itself has a very nice, cozy atmosphere. However, I ended up extremely disappointed due to something being stolen during housekeeping service. I travel frequently and stay in hotels often, so I’m usually very careful. This time, I didn’t bring many valuables with me, so I didn’t lock my suitcase when I went out. I had bought a few items from a drugstore and left them in the room. When I came back, one of the three packages was missing. I assume they didn’t take everything to avoid suspicion. I’m usually very cautious about housekeeping and potential loss of belongings, which is why I selected the “do not disturb / no cleaning” option. However, this hotel requires daily cleaning of the in-room hot spring bath. Since I booked a top-floor room with a private onsen, the front desk informed me that staff would still enter the room to clean it. I never expected that even opened, low-value cosmetics would be taken. The missing items were worth over $60. While it’s not a huge amount, it still feels very upsetting. The hotel itself is fine, but please be very careful with your belongings if you stay here. If you leave the room, make sure to take your valuables with you. The safe in the room is extremely small and cannot hold much. Overall, this experience was very disappointing."

The hotel's room is a half-day room, it needs to take off your shoes, so it is very clean, the room is large and the facilities are very complete, with massage chairs, and the private hot spring facing the sea. The quality of the breakfast and dinner that comes with the hotel room is also very high. It is a Japanese-style fixed-food meal, but it is rich in variety. The wine on the wine list included in the dinner includes a variety of Japanese and Western wines, and you can enjoy unlimited drinks. The breakfast offers a variety of juices and milk. You can also order unlimited meals. It can be said that the meals are satisfying and slightly acceptable. Stunning. The hotel's two large hot springs on the 9th floor do not need to make an appointment, and are open at any time. As long as no one can enter, no one can enter after entering. The rest of the time is a private hot spring moment, especially the open air. The sea view of the sea is beautiful, the sea view is invincible, and you can enjoy the sea view while enjoying the hot springs. Although the hotel does not provide pick-up service from the station to the hotel, you can reserve the service from the hotel to Ito Station upon check-out. On the day of departure, the service staff will take the initiative to ask the guests for the desired farewell time, that is, the guest wishes to make an appointment from the hotel. The departure time from Idong Station seems to be from 9:00 in the morning to 12 o'clock in the morning, every 30 minutes, the car is a small business car, and the ride is very comfortable. It can be said that this is a hotel that only needs to stay in, even if it does not leave the hotel for a day, it will not be boring, and it will be very recommended for the residents to enjoy during their stay."

"We had a wonderful stay at Yokikan. My husband especially loved the outdoor hot springs — it was one of the highlights of our trip. Staying here was a truly special experience and gave us a real sense of Japanese culture. All the staff were very kind, attentive, and took great care of us. The owner also kindly drove us back to the station when we checked out, which we really appreciated. The garden was beautiful, with a small waterfall and lovely koi fish. We will remember this stay for a long time!"

"The hotel is a bit old, a common issue with older Japanese hotels. The front desk staff are all older folks, but their attitude is excellent. 1. Yukata, towels, and toiletries are all provided and free. The room has a bathtub, but for a hot spring bath, you need to go to a designated floor. It's great value for money, and the room is very spacious, making it cost-effective for multiple people. 2. The cleanliness is what you'd expect given its age; I went in with realistic expectations, as it's hard for old hotels to meet strict hygiene standards. 3. The location is excellent and convenient for transportation. It's very close to Ito Station, and you can take the first bus in the morning directly from the starting point to Mount Omuro. 4. The sea is right outside the window, so the view is fantastic! You can even watch the sunrise from your room."

"It's about a ten-minute drive from Izu Kogen Station. The hotel is quite large, divided into several areas, ranging from luxury to economy. We booked a Japanese-style suite in the main building with a great view. The hotel has many free facilities that you can check on the map and experience one by one. The hot spring facility next door has an open-air bath. Soaking in the hot springs by the moonlit sea at night was very relaxing, with the constant sound of the waves. The breakfast included sashimi and various snacks, which was quite rich, but the selection was almost identical for two consecutive days. I'm giving three stars for service, specifically for the front desk. This hotel has quite a few Indian staff members. So why only three stars? The 5th, 6th, and 7th floors of the hotel all have scenic ocean view rooms, but Chinese guests are always assigned to the 5th floor or rooms near the elevator. Having stayed at many hotels, I can sense the subtle discrimination and differential treatment here. If the price booked through Ctrip is lower than what Japanese tourists pay, then disregard my comment. Finally, this hotel is very family-friendly, perfect for those with children. If you prefer quiet, a hotel of this size won't be quiet at all; you should choose a smaller onsen ryokan instead."

"I've always wanted to visit Izu, and after seeing recommendations online 🤔, I decided to check out this guesthouse. And it certainly didn't disappoint! 🫵 The owner is from Xi'an. After booking, you can message him on WeChat or email him to let him know your estimated arrival time in Izu. 👌 He'll personally pick you up from the station, and if you want to visit other attractions, he'll also drive you if he's available, saving you travel time. The guesthouse itself is beautiful 👏🏻, with a strong artistic vibe thanks to all the decorations. The proprietress is very talented 👍, and every corner of the room is stunningly decorated. I also have to praise the owner's cooking! 👍 If you're craving Xi'an specialties, you can ask the owner to cook for you. You can order à la carte or choose a guesthouse meal package (a heads-up: there are no restaurants or supermarkets nearby) 😜. We booked breakfast and dinner (for breakfast, you can choose between Chinese or Western) ☺, and the owner's noodles are absolutely amazing 😋. If you want to try Xi'an noodles, you can ask the owner to cook them for you (he mentioned they mostly serve noodles for lunch) 👌. I usually don't have much of an appetite for breakfast, so the owner specially made me a big bowl of Qishan Saozi noodles 🍜. Oh my god 😋, the sour and spicy flavors immediately opened up my appetite! Thank you to the incredible owner for saving my Chinese stomach! 🙏 Oh, and in the evenings, the owner will also take you to nearby hot springs ♨. If you want to experience authentic local hot springs, you should definitely try it! ♨ The owners are very easygoing, and after two days, it felt like we were old friends. I'm already looking forward to my next trip to Izu 🙂 and another taste of the owner's amazing Saozi noodles! 🍜"

"My friend and I stayed here for one night during our summer university vacation. While many accommodations offer purely functional service, I was truly touched by the warm hospitality of the staff here. What really stood out was the staff's personality. One particular staff member, fluent in both Japanese and Chinese, gave us recommendations for local restaurants and provided attentive service while maintaining a comfortable distance. The free shuttle service to Jogasaki Coast was also incredibly helpful. We enjoyed pleasant chats during the ride, and being able to save on bus fare and reallocate it to other sightseeing expenses was a huge bonus. Just a 10-second walk from the main building, the open-air bath, though compact, featured reclining baths and meticulously maintained plants. Combined with the night sky, it was a highly satisfying hot spring experience that perfectly soothed away our travel fatigue. I was amazed by the outstanding value for money, especially considering all these fantastic amenities for just 10,000 yen per room. This has definitely become one of my favorite places to stay, and I hope to visit again soon."
