Atami Hotels with Wifi

"The hotel is a Ibis/ Holiday Inn Express version of the Prince Hotel. It is no frills basic hotel with a great location. The breakfast is a simple chazuke dish with a drink. Check-in timing is inflexible but you can leave your luggage and explore the area a bit, not sure if Prince Hotel loyalty members get any special treatment. The room is basic and have everything you need with ensuite bathroom. The location is just a short walk from Atami Station and the Toyota Rental Car office. There is a car park but there are some restrictions over the timing etc."

"The hotel rooms are very comfortable, with great sea views, the restaurant has rich food, and the hot springs also have great sea views. There is a shuttle bus to Atami Station. Very nice accommodation experience."

"Hotel New Akao is a huge hotel. It was built quite many many years ago, we stayed at the older wing, so the room tends to be oldish, but well maintained and super clean. For the price we paid, one would expect 5 star facilities, at least a gym for morning workouts, but they did not have that. However, the meals (Dinner & breakfast) provided with the price is fantastic and wide spread. I guess its a onsen hotel so people tend to go there just for the hotel onsen which is great and nice. We do love the big buffet spread of meals. The room is old, if you prefer the rustic feel. There are no convenient store nearby so when it comes to hunger, you only have vending machine beer. We actually expected to have free flow of snacks and beer but it is only limited to very off peak timing when most people are out for their day trips. Again, we feel that the hefty price tag should at least provide that free beer, drinks and snacks all day and all night. Overall, we still love the experience staying in the hotel. A word of advice - avoid peak seasons like New Year, you will expect to queue up for meals :)"

"The room is large and extremely nice, all the required amenities are there. The view from the room balcony is magnificent, overseeing the beach . The unseen in the room is nice too, the temperature is just right . The free taxi service to and from station is very thoughtful and convenient. this is better than shuttle bus service which some hotels offer. The breakfast options are many with both western, Japanese, and even a bit of chinese."

"Hotels services is good. The room is pretty big and tidy, feeling comfortable in it. Walk for 2-3mins to 7-11 or Lawson. Public onsen provides inside and outside experience. The only disappointed is there is a Group of HK people arrived, there is a man full of tatoo get in public onsen. I checked the rules at front door. It mentioned Tatoo is prohibited. This kind of stupid HK people is a shame for HK when they travel around in Japan. Dont understand the culture of Japan. No parking area for loading, Car parking needs to use next hotel, a bit inconvenience if you carrying few luggages. 🧳"

"The room was long and narrow, oceanfront with an unbeatable sea view, perfect for watching the sunrise from inside. It was spotlessly clean, as per Japanese standards, though the bathroom was on the smaller side. The included dinner was fantastic, with varied dishes each of the two nights. The hotel has an ice machine, and you can borrow an ice bucket from the front desk. There's no outdoor onsen. Accessing the outdoors requires taking the elevator to the rooftop and walking from there. A beach is just a few hundred meters away, great for an evening stroll. Nearby convenience stores sold sparklers, which many young people were setting off on the beach. The hotel's shuttle bus requires advance booking, as it gets fully booked very quickly. A pick-up service is available from the JR station between 2 PM and 5 PM. If you miss this window, you'll need to take a taxi yourself (be aware of potential queues during peak hours). Walking from the JR station to the hotel is mostly downhill, but the return journey is uphill. Furthermore, the hotel's rooftop entrance can be a bit tricky to locate."

"There are two LIVE MAX in Atami, not far away. According to the local driver, one can see the fireworks from the front. Our room is 502, and it can indeed be seen, but you need to stand on the balcony. It is estimated that 501 and 503 in the same direction can also see it. The remaining rooms are facing the other direction. The layout of the guest rooms in the hotel is L-shaped. You can see the fireworks on the short side of the L, but you should not be able to see them on the long side. But you can go up to the rooftop on the 9th floor to see them. The hotel's washbasin is very small, but it provides a lot of practical things~ Toothbrushes are not good, the bristles are very hard... The breakfast restaurant is not big, there are dining restrictions, 60 minutes per time The hotel's bathroom... is transparent, you can watch people running along the coast while taking a shower 🏃 If you mind, try to choose a high floor. The staff said that because of the angle, the downstairs can't see the upstairs"

"Arriving in Atami from Tokyo in the afternoon, we were unfortunately caught in a heavy downpour. My wife and I found ourselves stranded at Atami Station. Our original plan was to have dinner first and then head to our accommodation once the rain eased, but it showed no signs of stopping. Everything you read in the reviews about the hotel's proprietress is absolutely true. She's Chinese and incredibly warm and hospitable. The proprietress couldn't reach us initially, so she went to great lengths, contacting my wife through Ctrip customer service, adding her on WeChat, and then personally driving to Atami Station to pick us up. We were genuinely, profoundly moved by her kindness! Upon arrival at the hotel, she enthusiastically introduced us to the hotel facilities and nearby attractions. She was incredibly thorough and passionate about it! Crucially, she cleared up all my questions about the 'Kinmedai Train,' which truly ensured our trip was seamless and perfect! The hotel room perfectly matched the photos. On a clear day, you can enjoy stunning views of the blue sky, white clouds, and the ocean. (I've included some photos!) I didn't get a chance to take many interior photos, but the tatami room was impressively spacious! Unfortunately, it was pouring rain again on our departure day back to Tokyo. The proprietress had her husband (a local who speaks a little Chinese) kindly drive us to the station. He was very friendly. The hotel offers excellent value for money! Highly, highly recommend!"

"It was an extremely fulfilling 2-day, 1-night trip to Atami! Thank you very much. All the staff were very polite and their manners and language were very good. I got the cheapest room, but I think it was worth it to work hard at my part-time job and save up money. Next time I want to stay in a suite! I'll do my best at my part-time job! Mochibe!"

"It’s a little distance from the station, because it’s an uphill ramp, so if you take the train, there’s no problem. The overall feeling is good, it’s so clean, and the attitude of the staff is good. I’m sorry for the western-style dinner, it’s like fine dining"
