"Came there to find out that my room has been cancelled. Their reason was because they are in partnership with OYO and a lot of rooms has been canceled by the ”system” so there were no rooms left for me to check in that day. They had already had a substitute hotel which I rejected. I requested a refund in cash and they refused. They promised that the refund will be done via Trip app but when asked how does the refund work, no one could explain. Finally I asked them again about the room availability because I was sure that they had at least a couple of rooms available. I told them that it was their responsibility to provide me with a room, even if the ones available are more expensive than what I have paid for. Suddenly they apologised and told me that a room was available, exactly like the one I had paid for. The rest of the stay was great. I wish to come back and visit the hotel, hoping that such suspicious experience will not be repeated in my next visit."

"This hotel definitely wins on location! It's right across from DP Mall, so finding food and doing some window shopping is super easy – just a stone's throw away from the mall, haha. Everything else, like the facilities and breakfast, is super minimalist. But for 300k/night with breakfast, it's fair for the price. This hotel gets crazy expensive during high season, LOL! 😁😁"

"Nice Stay with Great Location and Local Vibes I stayed at Surya Boutique Hotel Semarang and overall had a pretty good experience. The location is great — super close to both Poncol and Tawang train stations, so it's really convenient if you're catching a train. There's also an Indomaret and Alfamart nearby, plus tons of street food at night. The nasi goreng and bakmi Jawa around the area were seriously good! Not far from the hotel, there's an old mosque built in 1802 is really beautiful and full of history. It’s a reminder that Semarang used to be an important port city, visited by Arab and Chinese traders. Worth a quick visit if you're into cultural spots. The only downside was the receptionist during check-in , she didn’t smile and wasn’t very welcoming, which was a bit disappointing. But later in the day and the next morning, a different receptionist was on duty and she was really lovely and friendly, which made up for it. Breakfast was okay for a 2-star hotel , simple but enough. Just a heads-up: there’s no hot water kettle in the room, so if you need hot water, you might need to ask the front desk. All in all, it’s a good place if you’re looking for a convenient and affordable stay in Semarang with some nice local flavor. Hope they keep improving!"

"Hotel need to be refurbished a bit, they dont supply bottled water as you have to get your water from the dispenser located at the corridors, a bit inconveniet if you arrive late and tired. But maybe good if you with family as drinking water is unlimited"

"I always choose this hotel whenever I visit the city because it has never disappointed me. The location is excellent, with easy access to shopping malls, restaurants, and public transportation, making every trip very convenient. The staff are always friendly, welcoming, and willing to help with any requests. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Considering the quality of the service and the great location, the price is very reasonable. It offers excellent value for money, and I will definitely stay here again on my next visit. "The hotel has a great design. Although the rooms are small, the beds and pillows are clean and comfortable. You can watch the sunrise and sunset from the rooftop. The downsides are that there is no elevator, the staff is not well-trained, there is no restaurant, the parking lot is very small, and there are no slippers in the rooms."

The room only provides shampoo soap."

All the staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and helpful. The facilities are excellent, and I particularly have to praise their swimming pool. Having stayed in numerous five-star hotels across different countries, I can confidently say their pool is one of the larger ones and impeccably clean. The only downside is that it closes at 8 PM. The hotel's breakfast buffet is incredibly extensive; you're guaranteed to find something you'll enjoy. The restaurant staff are exceptionally attentive. If you dine there for breakfast two days in a row, they'll already remember your preferences and ask if you need anything specific. Furthermore, their Chinese restaurant, Summer Palace, serves outstanding Cantonese cuisine, and the prices are very reasonable. Even the staff in the Chinese restaurant maintain the hotel's consistently friendly service. If you ever have the chance to stay at this hotel, I highly recommend trying their Chinese restaurant.

love every part of this hotel, during all my hop on and hop off hotels this past years, this Gumaya hotel has met a good standard in most of aspects, especially the breakfast. im so suprised find hotel that the breakfast food taste delicious in all the stalls (usually will be too salty, too bland or just bleh..) but at gumaya, we are like travelling to each own traditional food restaurant, the authentic gudeg, the very nice lumpia and ikan bandeng, the warm soto ayam semarang and the homemade jamu and juices. all is excellent.

I booked a room with a view of Semarang city from my room, but unfortunately, it was obstructed by hotel decorations. So the view was only visible through small gaps. Maybe it's because of the promotional price? Everything else was okay though.

Nice staycation at one of the 4-star hotels in the heart of Semarang, near Simpang Lima. It's a cool new hotel, clean, and has a strategic location. Right next to the hotel, there are plenty of food options, like Tegal goat satay and authentic Semarang Hapkie noodles, plus a Superindo supermarket across the street. I often stay at this hotel chain for business trips. The breakfast menu has a good variety, including dim sum. The only downside is that the rooms don't have wardrobes, drawers, or anything like that, so there's no space to store belongings. One more important thing: please offer more attractive big discounts so I'll always book through vendors like Trip.com.

I have been staying at this hotel for a long time and it has always been one of my familiar choices whenever I visit the area. The location is convenient and the overall atmosphere still feels comfortable and welcoming. However, it is a bit unfortunate that the hotel is starting to show its age. Some facilities seem a little old compared to before. Last night was slightly difficult because there was a loud fan or machine noise coming from outside, which made it a bit hard to sleep. I hope the hotel can check this issue because it could affect guests staying in nearby rooms. Aside from that small inconvenience, my stay was generally satisfying. The staff were friendly as usual and the service was reliable. I still appreciate the comfort and memories I have had here over the years, and I hope the hotel will continue to maintain and improve its facilities in the future.

It's a top choice for both business travelers and tourists. High Standard of Service and Dining: The staff were exceptionally warm and professional right from check-in. I especially want to praise their breakfast – the variety was impressive, with a wide selection of local Indonesian flavors and Western dishes, all prepared with great care. Well-Equipped Facilities, Though Showing Some Age: The room was spacious, and the bedding was very comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. While it's clear the hotel has been around for a while and the decor is more classic and traditional, the overall cleanliness was spotless, and maintenance was excellent. The hotel's pool and gym were also very clean, perfect for relaxing after a busy day.

This is one of the cheapest 5-star hotels I've ever stayed in. The hotel might be a bit old, but everything works perfectly. The service and hospitality are very satisfying. The location is right in front of Semarang's main activity center. At night, you can take a stroll in front of the hotel. Ciputra Mall is right next door, and there are dozens of restaurants around the hotel.

This is my third time staying at Metro Park View and the experience was very good as always. The staff were kind enough to allow me to check in after 12 pm without having to wait until 2 pm because the room was already ready. I was also pleasantly surprised with a complimentary room upgrade which was really appreciated. The service throughout the stay was excellent. The staff were friendly helpful and professional. Since I stayed during Ramadan the sahur breakfast was also very good with a nice selection of food and everything prepared well and on time. It made the early morning meal comfortable and enjoyable. The room was clean comfortable and well maintained which made it easy to rest after a long day outside. Overall the hotel atmosphere feels calm and welcoming. The location is another big advantage. There is a Ramadan bazaar right next door which is very convenient during the fasting month. Around the hotel there are also many cafes and places to eat so it is easy to find food or just relax outside. Honestly I cannot think of any complaints or negative points about this stay. Everything was smooth and pleasant. If you are visiting Semarang I would definitely recommend booking this hotel.

The hotel is quite old and very big, but everything is still well-maintained and in good condition. It offered good value for money for three people plus a friend. We enjoyed beautiful views of Mount Ungaran every morning. The breakfast was delicious, with a different menu offered daily – absolutely fantastic! One thing that made us quite reluctant to move was the incredibly long walk from the reception to the elevators. The restaurant is also quite a trek from the elevators, which is understandable given how massive this hotel is. If you're staying alone, I wouldn't recommend this hotel; you might get the creeps walking around by yourself, haha! However, if you're with a big group and kids, it's fine and not spooky. But precisely because the hotel is so huge, the distances to the elevators and restaurant are considerable, and it can feel incredibly deserted! 😭😭😱😱
