Croydon Hotels with Wifi

"What I like : The breakfast! It is not fanciful but enough variety and selection for one to be well fed. I wish there is more vegetarian option as the current vegetarian sausages (?) contains onion. Which is not edible for me, of which our vegetarian practice do not consume onion, garlic , leek The front desk. The young Caucasian lady and the Asian ( I think is Indian if not mistaken ) are both really helpful. The kitchen crew, I think one of the lady's name is Adele or Adela. It was very cold on the day I stayed there , so I can imagine the hard work to withstand the cold and get all food prepare for hotel guests by 6/ 6.30. I am grateful. Gratitude to kitchen team The plumber / engineer. He came helping me to fix the toilet as the water keep flowing. He work really hard towards it getting in and out of the room as the problem is abit tricky. Please recognise his hard work, dedication and determination. I am happy with my stay, it makes me look forward to staying in Holiday Inn when I visit other countries. Sounds like a promising and reliving brand I would be in good hands anywhere I go."

"The hotel was in a great location, less than a 5 minute walk to East Croydon train station with a really regular train service back into the centre of London. Always tap in and out of the stations as it gives you the best rate for travel, we got stung for this on our journey out to the hotel on our first night as we didn't know East Croydon had tap out facilities, but they do. So always tap in and out instead of buying train tickets in advance. The hotel is clean and fresh downstairs and smells really good as you walk into the lobby. Our room was a great size, with two double beds so we could stretch out if we wanted to, really clean and a good size bathroom with bath and shower facilities. The hairdryer in the room was set at an extremely low voltage, which was really poor, as for someone with long thick hair like myself it took forever to dry. The breakfast service was also a little lacking, we could tell the hotel were short staffed as both days when we came down there was barely any hot food available. This was replenished when we asked but is something that should be kept on top of really. Nothing too big of a deal though, as we got everything we asked for in the end, and the quality of food was ok. We will be back next time we plan a trip to London, either to see shows or go to the football at Wembley."

"If you want something cheap and cheerful with walking distance to train station this might be a relevant option. However please note that if you book under 6 days they will not clean the room or change bedsheets unless you pay a daily charge of £15.00. I also would like to highlight the rooms are ridiculously small with no shelves or storage space to put your items. The showers has this annoying loop system where it will will be hot for a minute then cold."

"I booked for Family Two Double room. However we checked in after dinner (but we dropped off our luggages at 6pm under our name) they said this type of rooms are fully booked and kindly upgrade to a room to a suite. It’s very kind of that but we really don’t want to sleep on a sofa bed we told them many times. They promised someone will come help fixing the sofa bed and the room is nice.  However, when the man arrived he said we should request for a sofa bed when we make the booking so that house keeping can help. We told him originally we booked a two queen beds room, he keeps repeating that we didn’t request earlier. He opened the sofa bed with only dirty mattress then asked us whether we have our own bedding?!?!?! Of coz not!! He said he will go and find some hotels one and then comes back and asked us to do the bedding ourselves! LOL  Finally he offers help to fix the bedding but we feels sorry to him sounds like that’s not his duty, we let him go and do it ourselves.  I am quite surprised and wonder we paid 200 pounds per night for 4 stars hotel but I have to do my bedding myself and being blamed by staff. The air con seems broken the mode cannot be change from heater to air con mode, i tried to set to 20C but ended up goes up to 24.8C in 3 hrs and I am sweating, I called someone to fix it and the same staff told me to turn the whole thing off and open the window so the room will cool down! LOL I don’t want to be frozen in bed the next morning under 2C outside. I insisted to fix the air con and he pressed the whole thing with few buttons together hardly for like 20 times which scared me, it’s turns to air con mode magically !!! But still the set temperature can’t goes up higher than 21C. Anyway, better than sauna or in the freezer. Finally I can rest and pleased that I can check out the next morning. This hotel is nice and clean, parking is convenient, that’s why i came back the 2nd time. However this experience was terrible. 😢"

"The hotel room is moderately spaced, the hotel is halfway up the mountain, quiet and good environment. The hotel's bedding is very comfortable and especially sleep-friendly. The hotel is far from the bus station and the MRT station, and the excessive luggage should be particularly cautious."

"The staff were very friendly and helpful. There are bus stops and a train station within a few minutes walk and has free parking for a few cars. There's kitchen facilities available for use and free WiFi. The place is very dated and in need of decoration. The baths are stained with a shower head coming of the taps that has no pressure. For the price charged I wasn't expecting a 5 star hotel but this was value for money."

"The room was very small. London hotels are notoriously expensive, so the price for this one was fairly standard. I ended up booking Hilton hotels for the rest of my trip because, honestly, the overall quality and value here just don't compare to what you get for your money in China, but I suppose that's just the reality of prices in the UK. On the positive side, the transportation links were excellent, making it very convenient to explore."

"There were three of us in the room, which was very comfortable, and the extra bed was only 10 pounds. There are many choices for dinner, including steak, which tastes very good! Service is nice. 18 holes of golf + club rental = 31 pounds. It will definitely get dark at 4:30. It is recommended to use colored balls from 4 to 4:30, otherwise you will not be able to find the ball."
