"The room was great, perfect for families with kids. Everyone at the hotel was incredibly warm and welcoming, directing us for parking and helping with our luggage. It was an absolutely wonderful experience! Yili truly lives up to its reputation as 'Jiangnan beyond the Great Wall.' Definitely worth a visit."

"This was the most comfortable hotel of the trip, though unfortunately I only stayed for 7 hours. A big thank you to our guide for their attentive company throughout our Xinjiang self-driving tour. The itinerary was well-balanced, with sights, meals, and accommodations perfectly organized. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing fascinating and lively explanations of local history, customs, natural scenery, and specialty foods along the way. They also meticulously provided tips for travel safety. They were very patient, proactively looking after all the passengers, and promptly resolving any minor issues that arose. They were genuinely kind and friendly. The driver was steady and reliable, and the two worked together seamlessly. The entire trip was relaxing and pleasant, offering an excellent travel experience. I highly recommend them and would gladly choose them again for future travels."

"The Creek Valley Camp is conveniently located near the entrance of the Kuerdening scenic area, and the hotel environment is quite decent. The price is also significantly lower than Barry's, offering good value for money. The breakfast was great; every breakfast I've had at hotels in Xinjiang has been delicious, even at more budget-friendly places. However, the hot water supply was very unreliable. After one use, we were told there was no more hot water and we'd have to wait over half an hour. I waited, but half an hour later, it still wasn't back, and they said it would take another 30 minutes to an hour. By then, it was around 11 PM, and we were exhausted. The hotel didn't offer any solutions other than asking me to wait. I was the one who suggested they give me an empty room to shower, otherwise, I don't know how long we would have waited. Also, one of the curtains fell down when I tried to pull it halfway. By this point, it was almost midnight, so I just gave up and didn't bother contacting customer service again. I can understand wear and tear in a hotel, but these issues seemed to happen too easily, or maybe my room was just particularly unlucky. On top of that, customer service wasn't very proactive in solving problems. Despite these issues, Kuerdening is still beautiful. If you want to enter the park early the next day and don't want to spend a fortune, this place could still be an option. The scenery is definitely a highlight."

"After official confirmation that the Duku Highway would officially open to traffic on June 1st, we drove from Urumqi to Kuqa on the 31st to stay overnight. On the morning of June 1st, we drove onto the Duku Highway from Kuqa, heading north in the opposite direction to avoid traffic jams. Luckily, the road was clear, and we arrived in Nalati smoothly in the afternoon. Because we didn't know the road conditions, we booked this hotel on the Duku Highway. Seeing its 4.8 rating, we booked it without hesitation. We are grateful to Ctrip for their sincere recommendation of this highly-rated hotel. It really did not disappoint us; in fact, we were pleasantly surprised. When we first checked in, we felt that the hotel was a bit old and not the trendy, chic kind, but it was very clean. The hot water was especially comfortable, the air conditioning was just the right temperature, and the pillows and blankets felt just like home. When we woke up in the morning, we even saw a beautiful rainbow outside the window. There are many restaurants nearby, making breakfast convenient and plentiful. The hotel is very close to the attractions, and the owner even prepared banana water and snacks for us when we checked out, saying we could have a light meal if we got hungry while sightseeing. It was so thoughtful! When we arrived at the attractions, they weren't too crowded. Being so close to the attractions meant we got the best views – the scenery was breathtaking. This hotel is the best choice for visiting the Narat Grassland Scenic Area. Very satisfied, thank you very much, and highly recommended!"

"Overall, it was just okay. The only thing I liked was the mattress—it's the firm mattress I prefer! Cleanliness was so-so; there was something resembling chewing gum by the bed, and scraps of paper in the foot bath. The facilities were alright; the overall style was that of an old three-star hotel. Perhaps because it was on a good floor, the water pressure was very low. The bathroom smelled like sewage. I originally thought that as a four-star hotel, and a well-established three-star hotel, there wouldn't be any product discrepancies, but the complimentary fruit was very different from the picture. I hope they maintain consistency! I didn't have breakfast, so I can't comment on that. The service was good, and the overall efficiency was quite high! One complaint: since they used a robot, why make the front desk call me? Their robot arrived at the door, and the front desk called to inform me—a bit outdated! Finally, one more complaint: since checkout was at 4 PM, why call me at 1 PM to ask if I wanted to extend my stay? That was too early."

"Highly recommend the Xinyuan People's Square Licheng Hotel! We specifically chose this hotel after driving through the Duku Highway, and it was the most comfortable stop on our entire Yili loop trip. The location is excellent, just a few minutes' walk to People's Square. Downstairs, you'll find supermarkets, night markets, and restaurants, making it super convenient for a late-night snack. They have a free parking lot, perfect for SUVs, which is a huge plus for road trippers. The hotel opened in 2026, so everything is brand new. The entire room is equipped with XiaoDu smart controls, so you can control the lights and curtains with your voice. It also has a smart toilet, and the high-floor rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows offer distant mountain views. The cleanliness is impeccable; there's no dust even in the corners, the bedding is soft and clean, and the soundproofing is excellent. Our street-facing room was completely quiet at night, allowing us to get a wonderfully restful sleep after our long journey. The amenities are top-notch: a self-service laundry room with a dryer, perfect for getting dirty clothes clean and dry after mountain drives; a 24-hour gym; and robot delivery service. Even arriving late at night, check-in was smooth, and the front desk staff were gentle and attentive. They even proactively offered tips for touring Nalat Grassland. Breakfast features Xinjiang specialties, including milk tea, baursak, hot dishes, and pastries – perfect for a hearty meal before heading out to explore the grasslands. The hotel can also host group meals and conferences, making it suitable for family trips, self-driving groups, or business travelers. It's definitely the top choice when visiting Xinyuan!"

"The hotel's location is great, within walking distance to Narati, which is a big plus! The hotel itself is large with a spacious lobby, but its size also means it can be a bit confusing to navigate. It could use more staff. Breakfast was decent; there was a good variety, but the taste was just okay. As for facilities, I particularly want to mention the laundry room. It really needs an update. I had to search for it, finding it in an adjacent building and quite tucked away. In the end, I couldn't iron my clothes due to insufficient facilities and had to go back. The room is a bit old-fashioned but fully equipped, giving off vibes of hotels from a decade ago during an economic boom. Overall cleanliness was acceptable, but I'm deducting points because I found a centipede-like insect in the room just before check-out (perhaps due to the excellent natural environment?)."

"The hotel room was spacious and clean, and the bedding was comfortable. They even gave us a fruit platter and yogurt from Nalati, which was a nice touch. The service was top-notch, and parking was convenient. The only downside was that the breakfast selection didn't quite live up to the hotel's standards; there weren't many options, and the servers weren't quick enough to clear tables after previous guests."

"A hotel worthy of a dedicated review, a must-stay in Nalati! 1. Extremely close to the scenic area entrance, a 6-minute drive. 2. Parking is available right in front of the hotel. 3. Breakfast is provided, and the food is delicious—freshly cooked dishes and made pancakes—a very satisfying meal. 4. The courtyard is beautifully decorated (see pictures). After leaving the scenic area in the evening, sitting in the courtyard, browsing your phone, and enjoying the breeze is a great way to relax after a long journey. 5. Meals can be delivered directly; they have everything you need for food and drinks. 6. Surprisingly, there's even a washing machine in the room—a huge plus!"
