"Phalaka hotel is centrally located and beautifully designed.  You can take a short walk to the museum, restaurants and a spa. We stayed 4 nights in building C in the back of the property. Our room is very clean and quiet. All service staff at the Front Desk are extremely friendly and helpful. Since this is our first trip to the city, we got advice from them on local attractions with wheelchair access, a day trip and spa recommendation and assistance to ship a package. The hotel also offers a large selection of healthy and nutritious breakfast items. We totally enjoyed our stay and would love to return for another visit. "

"Arranged airport pickup in advance, and I was able to get to the hotel immediately after exiting the airport. The receptionist was very polite and welcoming, and quickly processed my check-in. They thoughtfully provided a handmade card with suggestions for eating, drinking, and having fun in Mangshi, indicating the distances to the hotel. They also reminded me that there was coffee, drinks, ice cream, etc. available in the lobby. "The hotel has a great location, right across from Mangshi Square. You can even join in the square dancing in the evenings! Baiyun Hair Salon is right next to the hotel, and several other well-known hair salons are within walking distance. The hotel service is also excellent, including one airport pick-up/drop-off service. You need to contact the hotel in advance for details, which is perfect for my early morning flight – no worries about being left unattended after landing. The staff at the front desk, restaurant, and kitchen are all very welcoming. Every day, I returned to my room after breakfast to find it cleaned. The breakfast was plentiful, including rice noodles/ersi (a type of rice noodle), eggs, fruit, and desserts. The hotel facilities are also quite good, with separate wet and dry areas and a large shower room. The area around the hotel is quite quiet; there's virtually no noise during my sleep time. You can probably hear a little bit of airplane noise even in the city. Electric scooters can be rented right outside the hotel at a reasonable price. You can go out anytime, and return them to the hotel at night. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel."

"The family room's living area was spacious, and facing the back alley made it quite quiet. The large bay window was convenient for drying clothes, and on a clear day, you could even see the distant golden and silver pagodas. The front desk offered coffee, fruit tea, and popcorn, and you could also rent costumes, foot soaking tubs, and more. The shower pressure on the sixth floor was a bit low. We stayed for many days, and they always restocked our supplies thoroughly. Upon checkout, we even received a small gift. Breakfast was simple but filling."

"Anyone coming to Mangshi who doesn't stay at Fan Poem Hotel will regret it, seriously! We were a group of four on this trip and booked the family suite. It had two identical, independent rooms, each with its own bathroom and double sinks, sharing a common living room. This setup perfectly balanced private space with shared common areas – truly, truly practical! The rooms were large and spotless, and each had a balcony. The hotel environment itself is beyond words; if you don't have any outing plans, you could easily spend half a day just taking photos within the hotel. The pictures I've shared are all real, unedited shots, truly capturing a sense of tranquility and peace amidst the bustling city. Finally, let's talk about the service: in three words, absolutely fantastic! Everyone was incredibly friendly, thoughtful, and professional. The butler even contacted us in advance to confirm arrangements, which immediately boosted our impression. The food at the hotel's Mantai restaurant is also delicious! In short, anything worth me writing this much about is something I genuinely want to recommend to everyone! I'll definitely choose Fan Poem Hotel again on my next visit."

"Clean, very new, and free room upgrades. There are a lot of food around. It is close to the hottest Ruili Crab Shop. There is also a good breakfast shop downstairs where you can eat beef rice noodles and bait silk. There are many Myanmar massage shops nearby. "[Savings: Just an ordinary guesthouse with a Wanda brand] This is one of the few big-name chain hotels in Mangshi, newly opened this year, so it was my first choice during my trip to Mangshi. I was shocked upon arrival. From the videos, it looked like a residential building. The lobby entrance was completely blocked by electric bikes and motorcycles, forcing guests to walk around them, indicating a complete lack of order. It didn't resemble a proper hotel at all. The hotel was quite large, but only had one elevator, sometimes requiring a long wait, and staff and guests shared the elevator. The floors were very low, creating a cramped feeling. The laundry room only had two washer-dryers, and they were very small, low-end machines, even worse than those at All Seasons or New Hanting hotels. Each dryer took 1.5-2 hours to dry. How many people could use it 24 hours a day? So, there were always long queues. The rooms were mediocre, just a low-end Wanda brand hotel. The duplex room didn't have the advertised double bathroom on the second floor, and there wasn't even a TV. Watching TV in bed was impossible, and the internet was unstable. Overall, I don't recommend it. When I returned the next day, I found that the cups in the guest room had not been cleaned or disinfected, the tea stains from the previous day were still there, and the drinking water was just left lying around.
