"This hotel is right at the entrance to the scenic area, which was super convenient for checking in that night and then heading to Wudang Mountain the next day. Overall, it was clean and tidy, and offered good value for money. The parking lot is a short walk away; if you're driving, it's best to drop off your luggage first and then park your car."

"If you don’t speak the local language, I do not recommend staying at this hotel. It was incredibly difficult getting both on, and off the mountain “scenic area”. Some hotels in Trip reached out to us in advance to help coordinate transportation, this one does not. Your only way to contact the hotel is by calling, which isn’t feasible if you don’t speak the language. The hotel website showed that parking was available, so I thought we would be able to get there by DiDi, as long as I paid the fee to get the car into the park. This was not the case. We did see private vehicles, but I’m not sure what goes into that, but I believe 4 wheel drive is one requirement. So with our luggage, he dropped us off at the base of the mountain. It took a little while to get to the ticket office, you have to walk up several stairs and through a cobblestone market to get there, so we got nice and sweaty and uncomfortable. From there, you take a bus (ours had no underside luggage stowage) about halfway up to another stop. We had to awkwardly hold our luggage in the aisle of a full bus, while going up-hill and doing switch-backs. Everyone gets off about halfway-way up, at a station with several different buses. We asked for help and someone pointed us to the correct one. From the final bus stop up top, it was a short walk to the hotel. We figured going down would be much smoother, but after getting off the first bus, we accidentally got on the wrong one and started going back up. Overall, took us about 2.5 hours from the airport to the hotel, then just over three hours from hotel to the HSR station. Minor descriptions for the room were inaccurate. Ours was listed as on floor 3 or 4, it was actually basement level. The hotel is in the edge of the mountain, so it still had a scenic view. The window in our room was dirty (I expected more for what we were paying). The hand soap in the bathroom was in a re-used bottle and was watered down. Listed amenities said sauna and massage room, there are neither here (nor was there an offer of other local places to go when I asked). The breakfast food was amazing, including a hot, fresh bar with a chef making eggs and noodles. I wasn’t able to partake in the noodles one day because of the language barrier. Hotel staff was more hesitant than other places we’ve stayed in using translation tools and I felt like too much of an inconvenience in using them to ask for noodles. There is bottled water in the rooms, you can ask for more for free (they friended me via WeChat on Check-In and is largely how we communicated). There is free tea and snacks in the afternoon, the hotel was quiet so we were able to take up one of two seats that had an amazing view outside. The staff working the tea time was great and super courteous. You can hike to South Crag Palace and Nanyan Palace by foot, both are absolutely stunning. In summary, if we were to visit the area again, I would stay at a hotel at the bottom of the mountain (not in the scenic area) and use the day exploring/getting lost on the bus. While the view was great, it simply wasn’t worth the high price and the difficulty in getting there for non-locals. If I knew a hotel in the scenic area would reach out to me in advance to assist, then I would go for it. But unfortunately, with the way Trip.com works right now, hotels have to initiate that, guests cannot. I don’t recommend this hotel for non-native speakers."

"This guesthouse has a fantastic location! 👍 It's the very first place on the left as you walk up NanYan Street from the scenic area parking lot, super easy to find. They have their own terrace restaurant right next door, and dinner there at night was absolutely amazing. 🥰 The food is authentic local cuisine, and even though it's in a scenic area, the prices are truly reasonable – you can spend as much or as little as you like. 🤭 The rooms are incredibly thoughtful, honestly. Even though it's a guesthouse, the room quality is at least business hotel standard; it's very comfortable and considerate. The Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and ambient lighting are all very detailed. The bathroom offers direct mountain views 🤩, and there's even a projector. Best of all, the room windows offer stunning mountain views 😍, and there's a lovely little courtyard where you can sit in the patio and stargaze at night. 🫣 Next time I come to Wudang, I definitely want to stay at 'Banshan' again. The hostess is also very considerate, helping guests transport their luggage to the service station, which saves time for sightseeing. So many thoughtful details! 🥳"

"The facilities and sanitary conditions in the store are impressive! The room is spacious and bright, and the bedding is comfortable and soft. The service staff's attitude is also very good, making people feel very warm. In addition, walking across from the hotel is the Yuzhen Palace. You can personally feel the simplicity and solemnity of every brick and tile. Every step is based on the weight of history, and your soul is deeply baptized and peaceful. Make people linger. "We had an excellent stay here. The room was great, the food was tasty, and the location/views superb. But more than any of that, the next-level service provided by the staff was perhaps the best I have ever received. We had a lot of difficulty navigating the Wudangshan bus system, hiking timing, etc, and the staff were always willing to discuss and solve problems for us over WeChat. Without them our trip would not have been possible. Highly recommend."

"The location is fantastic, right next to the Wudang Mountain Tourist Service Center, making it practically the closest hotel to it. The Tourist Service Center is also where you catch the shuttle bus to the scenic areas. Plus, there's ample parking space in front of the hotel, which is super convenient. Right next door, you'll find a food street and various shops selling souvenirs. The room's heating was excellent, and the bathroom and toilet were separate. However, the light switch design in the room was quite impractical; you had to try each switch to figure out which light it controlled. Also, there was only one charging outlet by the bedside, which wasn't very convenient."

"It was my first time to Wudang Mountain. I didn't make any travel guides and chose a homestay blindly. It completely exceeded my expectations. The boss is a beautiful girl with a nice voice and excellent service. I went hiking every day with the three-day ticket. Although it was only one kilometer away from the tourist center, the boss picked me up every day. I am grateful for the blessing of the ancestors. It was perfect for my first trip to Wudang."

"Come to Wudang Mountain to play, choose Meicheng Hotel, really satisfied. The location is excellent, 20 meters away is the pedestrian street to go shopping and worry. The room was clean and tidy, the lighting was good, the bedding was soft, and the night was very stable. The whole house is very convenient for intelligence, and the voice control is very intimate, suitable for our age. The front desk was warm and thoughtful, the check-in was fast, and the details were very warm. The hotel is quiet and not noisy, soundproofed, hot water for washing, new and complete facilities. The hotel restaurant is affordable, the weight is large, and the special fish is particularly delicious. The overall cost-effective, living comfortably and eating comfortably, like going home. Next time I come to Wudang Mountain, I still live here, I recommend it to everyone!"

"This hotel is right across from the Nanyan parking lot; you don't even need to get out of your car until you're there. It's much quieter than Nanyan itself, very peaceful. The mountain views from the rooftop are fantastic, and the staff are incredibly welcoming. The hotel breakfast is plentiful, and when there aren't many guests, it's even delivered to your room. The stir-fries are delicious and reasonably priced too."
