"(1) The front desk lady was incredibly condescending. She was clearly of Asian descent, but she looked at us with utter contempt the moment we walked in. Her attitude was completely impatient and rude, and she spoke to us in a superior tone, lacking any professional hotel etiquette. It was really uncomfortable to be discriminated against by another Asian person in Australia – seriously, what's up with that? 😅 Later, when we were leaving, we saw her being incredibly friendly to a Caucasian man, smiling and greeting him as soon as he entered, asking about his needs. What's that supposed to mean? 😅 I was happy until I saw her at the front desk, and then I just wanted to switch hotels. (2) The hotel also completely failed to inform us about the check-out time. It's completely different from the standard 12:00 PM check-out in China. We started getting knocks on our door at 8:00 AM, but no one spoke, so we thought it was a mistake. No one told us it was because we needed to check out. We weren't informed at all beforehand, which resulted in us being ordered to leave immediately. It was humiliating and offensive; we were almost kicked out and were charged an extra $50! ❗️ (3) The other hotel staff were very nice, and the Thai food at the hotel was also delicious 😋. The guests from other countries we met were also very friendly and polite. The breakfast selection wasn't huge, but the fried rice was exceptionally good."

"An overall relaxing and peacefully stay. The view looking over the vineyard is remarkable. The amenities and breakfast provided were more than enough. The 10:00am checkout though is a bit rush as other properties would usually have a 11:00am checkout."

"I've stayed at the Admiralty Inn a number of times in the past and usually the stay has been good. On a previous stay earlier in the year, and as I was packing to leave, there was a knock on the door saying 'Housekeeping'. The time was 9.40am (checkout is at 10am) and I just felt I was being pushed to leave. I let it slide at the time as i wasn't far off packed and ready to leave anyhow. However, on my most recent stay in May it was taken to a whole new level. Having in mind my previous experience, I decided to place the 'Do not disturb' sign on the door. My thinking being that this should mean that I wouldn't be disturbed until the 10am checkout. At 8.09am, yes I checked the time, the door to my room opened, no knock no warning, and the housekeeper is poking their head in the door. Whilst I was awake I was still in bed though, but what if I had just jumped out of the shower and no clothes on? The housekeeper did make a hasty retreat saying sorry but I just feel that's not good enough, especially as I had the 'Do not disturb' sign on the door and almost two hours prior to checkout. It makes me wonder if any one else has had a similar experience. When you book a motel room you do expect a reasonable level of privacy but I am now very hesitant to stay at the Admiralty Inn again as I feel I cannot be guaranteed any privacy at all. In saying all this, I was tempted to leave a poor or bad review, but I settled on average as the room itself was adequate for the price. All things considered I think my rating of average is more than fair."

"Our stay was wonderful, and peaceful The rooms were really soundproof which was unexpected and no distubance from outside noise or neighbors, the rooms were lovely and organised The apartment was closer to the beach than we expected and it was perfect as shopping centres were close by. Booking and payments were very easy and quick Privacy so perfect and no disturbance to our holiday at all, our room was very homely and spaceful Beautiful view from our balcony at evening I would love to book again"

"The starting point of the Great Ocean Road, we chose to rest here for one night. Geelong is known as the 'Rainbow Fairy Tale Town' of the Southern Hemisphere and is definitely worth a stopover. I communicated with the hotel via email to reserve a parking space, and the communication was very smooth."

"Wonderful, warm and comfortable cabin..... heated pool in winter was a great surprise for the children. We left something behind and the staff promptly contacted us and then held on to it until we could make it back to collect. Much appreciated. Highly recommend!"

"The hotel was really well located on the sea front and a short walk to the pier and promenade. The room was a good size with a small balcony that was great to sit out on and look at the sea. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend this hotel for a stay."

"I had a particularly satisfying stay this time. The hotel's location is excellent, making it very convenient for getting around and shopping, with plenty of dining options nearby. The front desk staff were warm and thoughtful, handling check-in and check-out efficiently with a gentle and polite attitude. The room was clean and tidy, with a logical layout, soft and comfortable bedding, and great sound insulation, ensuring a very quiet night's rest. The bathroom had a wet/dry separation, all toiletries were complete and clean, and there was ample hot water supply. The overall environment and hygiene were well-maintained; there were no unpleasant odors in the hallways or public areas. The breakfast offered a rich variety, including meat, vegetables, desserts, and drinks, all tasting homely and offering good value. The hotel provides great value for money, with comprehensive facilities and attentive service, leading to a wonderful living experience. I will definitely choose this place again on my next visit and highly recommend it to everyone."
