"I traveled with two families. The large public bath was really nice, and I couldn't go in because I was using the family bath, but the large public bath alone was good. The open-air bath attached to the room was also really nice, so I soaked for 10 minutes early in the morning and left. It was a bit far to get to the main street. You can go by car, but there are paid parking lots to park in, and it seemed like it would take about the same amount of time to walk, so we walked to see the sights. I had a baby, so I took a stroller, but it was okay to walk to the main street and Kinrin Lake. It took about 15 minutes to walk. It's expensive, but I liked everything about the ryokan overall. Thank you."

"It took 20 minutes or so from the station, but the last climb was difficult. It was about 6 minutes? but the slope was 45 degrees... It was difficult because of the suitcase, but the accommodation was so pretty. The staff were friendly, the facilities were great, and I stayed for one night at a cheap price because it was a weekday. In my opinion, it's probably the place with the best hot spring view in Yufuin. I want to visit again next time."

"very happy to have booked this hotel. very well located hotel, walkable fr yufuin station. breakfast and dinner every day was very nice, some days better than others but excellent nonetheless. place is a little old but is well kept. room is also rather large and we had the mountain view which was amazing. hotel onsen water can be a little too hot, so sensitive ppl do be careful. will come again."

"This onsen hotel look rather old and tired from the outside, but besides that, everything about it exceeded my expectations.
Location is just about a 6-7 minutes' walk from the train station. We stayed in the Japanese style room, which was clean, fairly spacious and overlooking the mountains.
Onsen was good with both indoor and outdoor pools on the ground floor and first floor, swapping between males and females at allocated hours.
As for the dinner, it was simply awesome! It was the standard buffet eat and drink all you can type, except it was not so standard with the standard food and the usual house pour.
Dinner was widespread and high-quality stuff (graded wagyu steak) and a selection of whisky and premium beer lager. (Beer not the usual plastic cups BUT BY THE BOTTLES!) It was no surprise that queues start forming at 5.30pm even though dinner officially only start at 6.
So, if Sansuikan is your pick, make sure you make a reservation with dinner."

The 2 storey house included living room, bedroom, 2 restrooms, balcony and private onsen! The view from onsen is incredible!
Kaiseki dinner was served at the main building in a private room. The whole main meal and beverage were in high quality. Breakfast on the next day morning was good too.
Staffs were helpful and polite. Free taxi round trip from JR station to the hotel. And just 8 min walk from the Kinrin Lake which is prefect for getting up early for the morning mist."

"How cost-effective it is. Small business. There is a pick-up service after 3pm. We will take you to the station when you leave. There are only 6 rooms. Basically no one is using the public hot springs. You can go in at any time. It is no different from private ones. The meals are like family dishes. There are Mandarin-speaking work-study students. No need to worry about communication problems."

Amazing
PPriscillaWe had a great 2 nights stay at this Ryokan. Location was near Yufuin Floral Village, and around 20 mins walk from Yufuin JR station. It was a nice walk to Yufuin JR station as there were many shops and eateries that you can visit along the way. Alternatively, there is also bus 36 from Yufuin but terminal that would stop near to the ryokan.
The staff were really outstanding, friendly and helpful. When we arrived, a couple of them rushed to help us with our luggage and to also shelter us from the rain. During the entire stay, they made us feel very welcomed.
The Western/Japanese room that we booked was very spacious and had all the amenities we required. Note that this is a 2 storey living area - level 1 had a bathroom with private indoor and outdoor onsen as well as the living room, while level 2 had a toilet (w/o bath) and 1 western bedroom as well as 1 Japanese bedroom.
There are 4 public onsen in the ryokan. 2 for female and 2 for male. They would rotate it during the day and night to allow everyone to try out the different onsen.
We also had our breakfast and dinner at the ryokan as part of the package. The dishes were different on both days. The spread was huge and food tasted great. Note that there are very few places open at Yufuin during dinner time.

SSerena_세레나I was looking for a place with good value for money and accessibility in Kyoto because I was attracted to ryokans! It is a place near Kirin Lake, so it is close to Yufuin Street. The location is perfect! It was about 10-15 minutes walk from the bus terminal and Yufuin Station. I was alone, but I went there cheaply because there was a special price. There seemed to be many families, and I didn't make a reservation, so I used it at 16:30, which is ambiguous about using the private bath. I was originally staying in Yufuin for 2 nights, and it was the last day, so I went right at check-in time and spent the day at the accommodation. I enjoyed the private bath and the large bath, and it was so great! It was December 9/10, but it wasn't cold to wash outside (it could be the heat of the hot spring, but it varies from person to person.)
You can enjoy the private bath in the morning, but I finished the morning with the large bath! The kaiseki and breakfast were great!
I also thought it would be better if I brought my parents. I don't know if the staff is Korean, but there was someone who could speak Korean, so I had a very comfortable trip!!
You should definitely visit.

FFung ManI booked a private spa for three days and two nights at this hot spring hotel from January 10th to 12th. I was very satisfied with the hotel's service, environment, and location. It's also very close to Jinlin Lake or Pedestrian Street in the morning. You also have your own private room for breakfast and dinner. I highly recommend this hotel. 😃

The hot springs are private and you can enjoy them relaxingly. The hotel is in a great location, very close to the bus stop, and it only takes 3 to 5 minutes to walk in a straight line. The town is not very big, you can walk everywhere, the air is good, and it is very suitable for a leisurely walk, with a feeling of wanting more.

ZzhangcjThis hotel is really nice. The room is big, with two tatami rooms. There is floor heating under the tatami, so it's not cold even if you walk barefoot on the tatami. There is a private hot spring in the room. We booked a breakfast-only package, which was also good, and there was even grilled fish. The whole hotel is small, with a stream running through the whole yard. The most unexpected thing is that guests can boil eggs in hot spring water for free.

The waiters here understand Mandarin and have no problem communicating. The room I booked this time is equipped with an independent bath, which is semi-open-air. You can see the outdoor scenery. The water quality and temperature are very good, and it feels very good. In addition to enjoying the hot spring in my room, I also soaked in the public hot spring in the hotel. There is an outdoor and an indoor hot spring. There are time limits. Although the hot spring is not too big and can accommodate 6 people each, there was no one during the time I soaked. Maybe Let’s all enjoy the bath in the room. However, I recommend that you book a room with an independent hot spring bath, because you can soak in the hot spring at any time. AAnonymous UserThe accommodation is beautiful, the surrounding atmosphere is good, and there is an onsen hot spring to soak in. The food is delicious. **But what I am not very impressed with is the control of other service providers. Mostly, 99% on the day I stayed were Koreans who were not very polite. They did not know even the etiquette and rules of using the public hot spring. I am not sure if the owner of the accommodation has informed the rules of using the hot spring, which is something I cannot accept. They were loud, threw the earbuds on the floor, and were not orderly. They also wore shoes in the common area of the dressing room in the hot spring. I was very disappointed. It was a rather disappointing vacation, even though it should have been a good day for me. I lost the mood to soak in the atmosphere. I did not even have the heart to take pictures of the atmosphere with the accommodation.
