Tru by Hilton Indianapolis Downtown

Selected this place due to close proximity to Lucas Stadium for planned weekend event. Hotel situated on east side of stadium. Flew into Indy & took an approximate 20 minute Uber ride to hotel. Learned during stay that numerous eating establishments were within walking distance for a bonus. Found room to be clean & accommodating in typical Tru-Hilton fashion. Room was clean and breakfast buffet fulfilling & well maintained while open. Nice selection of snacks, beverages, beers & wines in lobby at reasonable prices for purchase. Nice size lobby area for gatherings while in hotel and numerous table to eat meals brought or delivered to hotel. Parking garage located immediately adjacent to & hotel connected. Beware that parking is not free and costs $30 per night if you decide to drive. This venue is a good choice if it matches your planned activities during your stay.

When entering the property later at night (around 10pm) I wasn't greeted or anything, asked my name and for ID, given my rooms keys and nothing else (no information on breakfast, bar hours, fitness center or being a Marriott rewards memeber), she wasn't rude or anything but not your typical experience when staying at Marriott properties. My overall stay was fine as my room was nice, clean and a/c worked. Again upon checking out (11am), there wasn't an employee to be seen behind the counter as multiple people were now waiting for someone, a few housekeepers walked by and they didn't address us either, so I just left... Very interesting and uncharacteristic interactions or lack thereof with employees. Definitely made the stay less impressive and average

We will never stay at this hotel again. The biggest issue is our car was hit in a hit and run in the hotel’s parking garage and, despite the $43 to $48 per day charge to park here, THERE ARE NO CAMERAS IN THE GARAGE. The police came and made a report, but without cameras there’s not a whole lot they can do. Doug, the parking manager, helped us as much as he could and told us he has been telling the Hyatt since he started working there they need to put cameras in the parking garage, Doug did waive the parking fee, but we are now out our own money to get our car fixed. We asked to speak to the general manager of the hotel, Tim Ribich, but he was always “in a meeting” and never contacted us or made himself available to speak to us when we asked multiple times. Also, the TV did not work when we checked into our room and the water pressure is terrible. Very disappointing experience. Stay away from this place!

I love the Bestwestern Hotel here in Indy on Girl school road. The workers are nice and friendly. The waffles are to die for in the mornings. I will be staying here Mon, Tues, Wed of each week every month until Feb 28 2023 for my gov. job.

Third time staying here. Lovely hotel, clean, good staff, comfortable beds, hot water, cold AC. We had a room with shower but not accessible room. Location of room down hall off lobby. The shower was easy to get in & out of. They provided us with a shower chair. Want to give a shout out to Francisco tending to breakfast buffet. He kept everything filled, went around taking our dirty dishes & disposing of them & kept tables clean as people finished eating. Had last call before 10am & closing. Coffee is good. Our go to hotel when in Indianapolis.
