The hotel and room is very nice. There is a restaurant on the ground floor that serves good food. A lady will tell you to eat at their restaurant because they have good food. But upon eating there she is saying the truth it is authentic chinese dishes. The room is clean and nice. There is also a supermarket across the street. There is also a hotpot restaurant across the street that serves authentic hotpot dishes

Lovely hotel near the mountain base. About 500m walk away from the bus station that goes to the cableway. Love the layout of the room, very spacious, more than enough space to open 2 luggages. Breakfast is really good compared to other restaurants. (I eat both western and chinese) Staff is proactive in helping with our request to book a taxi to Hangzhou directly and helped to mediate the payment as we are unable to do bank transfer.

Pros:
1. the property is very close to the bus entrance to Huang Shan.
2. The boss lady (it's an endearing way to address the women who manage hotels and restaurants in China) is very kind and helpful!
3. the restaurant on the ground floor is pretty good and friendly.
Con:
It's not really a problem of the property. I took the transit organized by the hotel to Hong Cun. The driver was very aggressive in his driving style. We left around 7pm, which is quite dark. He was making aggressive turns and brakes, making everyone onboard extremely nervous.

Five stars is not the grade of this hotel, but because Ctrip only has five stars. As soon as you step into the door of the B&B, you can feel the warmth of home. The wooden decoration and soft lighting create a sense of intimacy, as if you have returned to a long-lost home. The warm welcome from the boss makes people relax immediately. When showing the ticket information to the boss that the battery of the mobile phone was about to run out, the boss quickly provided a power bank. Our hotel stay was amazing! The hotel manager speaks English and was very friendly and helpful. He organized a car to pick us up from the train station and drop us off at the hotel’s door. Check-in was smooth and easy. The front desk staff spent several minutes explaining the best way to hike the mountain, and she gave us a map of the mountain and highlighted the routes we should take. We booked our tickets online, but the front desk staff can also help you book your tickets. They can also help you book a car back to the train station once you come down the mountain. The service truly is exceptional!
There are hiking poles that you can borrow, a restaurant on the first floor, and a convenience store on the first floor with bottled water for 1 RMB.
The hotel is extremely conveniently located beside the entrance for the shuttle bus up to Huangshan cable car. We could see the shuttle bus entrance from our hotel room. Outside your doorsteps are lots of restaurants, bubble tea places, supermarkets, and a fruit store. When we woke up the next morning, it took us less than five minutes to walk to the shuttle buses.
Our room faced the street but it was quiet and clean. The bed was comfortable.
We definitely recommend this hotel to anyone going to Huangshan.

We stayed here for one night and had such a lovely experience! Mr. Jiang was incredibly kind, attentive, and always ready to help with anything we needed. The room was spacious and spotless, and I was so impressed by all the smart technology— smart controlled lights, projector TV, curtains, shower, and even the toilet. It felt futuristic and super comfortable!
Early in the morning, Mr. Jiang personally drove us to the South Gate cable car. When we returned to pick up our luggage, he kindly arranged a carpool for us to Tunxi Old Town—which was more affordable than using Didi!
We definitely recommend staying here if you’re visiting the area.
P.S. While we were waiting for the carpool, Mr. Jiang brought out his adorable puppy to play with me—such a sweet bonus!

The place was located on the main old street. Breakfast was solid for being Chinese (good baozi, good noodles...). The owners were attentive and the services they tried to sell you (in our case, a chauffeur) were reasonably priced.
The bed and pillows were super comfy and the quilt as well...
The only bad side was the bathroom cleanliness. There was a ball of hair on the shower corner. Big enough to be easily spotted. The WC itself had some stickers also like if hadn't been properly cleaned.
If it wasn't for this the rest was perfect.
PS you can tell they hired professional photographers for the pics. Everything looks a bit better on the photos. But it won't disappoint you.

The hotel is located next to the transfer point of the scenic spot, with an excellent location; there are many hotels nearby; we booked a day with Ctrip, and when we arrived, the landlady asked us if we had booked Huangshan tickets. We didn’t know that we needed to make a reservation in advance😂, so we couldn’t buy tickets for the next day at all. , and then bought tickets for the third day, so we extended our stay for another day; the landlady was very enthusiastic and kept reminding us to grab tickets and helped us grab them; luckily, we got them the next day! The dishes of the boss chef are very delicious. I ate two meals in the hotel and one meal outside. I felt it was still delicious in the hotel and the price was about the same! Overall positive reviews!

Prior to stay, the staff are very prompt in helpful Q and A. Services are exceedingly good, excellent and accomodating. All staff are friendly, approachable, and careful to details. Sharing local culture and history, and place of interest. Outstanding concierge service.
Our stay include Tea appreciation, sumptuous dinner (2 choices), and hearty breakfast (2 choices). We were given complimentary drinks at bar, and alternative dishes to met dietary requirement. Very useful that hotel provide Hotel-Train station transfer. service, and other short distance ride to Huangshan hiking entrance (saved a lot of time).
Staff helped us booked our Cableway tickets which saved us time to queue for tickets and avoid buying wrong tickets.
Very spacious open concept, clean and modern room and furnishings like king size bed, large Sofa, round Table TV. Balcony with lush tranquillity view of nature full of mountainous greenery and waterfall. Sound of nature (cicada) and fortunately room comes with good sound proofing sliding door.
Bath tub, shower area, and WC with build in sensor and biget spray. Standard Amenities are provided. Electric source is China 2-pin 3-pin plug standard and USB.
Hotel is located within the Huangshan park (?). Saving us time in getting clearance at Park security office as the Driver brought us through the security checks with ease. We felt like VIP.
Hotel is a short drive away to nearest cableway (called ‘hot spring’ cableway etc.). Do bring rain coat as weather up in the mountain is unpredictable. It rained when we reached up at ‘Yuping’ cableway. Hotel staff offered us rain coat.
We have a skilful driver to transport us safely form our Hotel-Train station transfer.

GGuest UserThis was an absolutely wonderful stay, I could not recommend more. I was welcomed in immediately and brought right to my room by the very friendly front desk staff. They showed me the room including the complementary warm jackets for sunset and sunrise and flashlight. The staff was then available to help me with anything I needed and provide recommendations, such as where to go for sunrise, what time sunrise was at, and informing me of a show taking place in the lobby. All the while providing service with a smile and helping with translations. This area is breathtaking and the mountains are otherworldly, if you make a trip out here I urge you to stay at the Baiyun Hotel!

GGregMII chose the 0517 hotel after reading great reviews, and they were not wrong! Starting with the simple things, the location is so convenient being in the part of town nearest the park’s south entrance. You can walk there in ~15 minutes, passing several options for a street food breakfast along the way. There is also a good selection of restaurants for dinner, and a very nice bakery to pick up snacks for the day. The long distance buses arrive at a bus station a few km away, but the hotel will arrange the pickup for you, free of charge.
The hotel’s design in the rooms and shared spaces is very modern & clean, in a style appreciated by westerners. The rooms are on the small side, but have everything you need.
Leaving the best point until last – the highlight here is the customer service provided by the owner Timo and his staff. 11/10! Nothing is too much trouble, they will help you with everything from trip planning, to organizing local shared taxi to surrounding areas, to storing luggage, or whatever. On both the nights there, I had a long, friendly chat with him and a couple of others over a drink in the evening. Felt more like being his personal guest than being in a hotel. HIGHLY recommended!

AAnonymous UserIt feels especially suitable for self-driving, with mountains and rivers, and a stream at the door, where you can go rafting in summer. The hotel room is very clean and quite large, with a terrace. The owner raises stream fish, and if you stay there, you can ask the owner to braise the stream fish, and the white thick soup will be delicious. The wild fruit tofu is also very delicious, and I basically finished the whole plate. At the end, the owner also gave us a big pumpkin (originally my mother wanted to buy one), and arranged for us to park the car at the foot of Huangshan, saving us money.

PPJQLocated beside the South Entrance to the village and facing the water-body (see photo of hotel with red banners). Unlike most hotels within the village, this hotel has conserved the architecture of the exterior and interior of the over 300 years old structure. It is well maintained with modern amenities and a nice manicured garden filled with bonsai plants. The Chinese breakfast was simple and nice. The menu has a good range of beverages and the food was good at reasonable prices.
The room we stayed was small but cozy. It is within the main building and just outside the room there is a reading lounge. It was quiet and hardly used while we were there.

GGuest UserThe room was very clean and tidy, with a large bed and a small bed, which was very comfortable to sleep in. Floor heating throughout the house. No need to turn on the air conditioner at all. Perhaps the only thing you need to get used to is the need to lock the door when entering and exiting, but this is also a feature. After all, it is a house with a history of more than 400 years. The owner was very nice and polite. He helped us with our luggage and even took us to the village entrance. He was very welcoming throughout the whole process! Really full of details! Come again when you have the chance! In addition, the food is also very delicious, all freshly made without pre-preparation!

HHRKOOCheck in service was great upon arriving. They will give a large printed map and advise the route to take according to your preference. They added us on WeChat to update on all services available and sunrise info. Room was clean and signage saying tap water is portable from Huangshan spring. Boba tea's tapioca balls were powdery. Resources are difficult to carry up so maybe they served us overnight pearls. Food was not cheap but understandable. Breakfast was good with the traditional buns and soy bean drink etc. There is a walkway connected to the main building from the 2nd floor of blk B. Sunrise location changed to about 40min walk (one way) in Dec so it was steps and steps again on the second day morning but it's all worth it. Best communication from the helpful staff (in Chinese)

VValeriaMIf you are planning to visit Yellow Mountains (Huangshan) Shanshui Boutique hotel is conveniently located as it is just 25 min drive (by taxi) from high speed train station, also easy travel to the Yungpu cable car (about 45-60min) to access the Mountains, and less than 40 min to get to Xidi ancient vilage. The architecture is a must, you can appreciate the old facade mingled with the new avant garde design that faces the river and the swimming pool. It also has plenty spaces designed to relax while drinking some tea, coffee, etc as well as a playground -we always thank when traveling with small kids-. It also has a spacious library room where you can relax reading a book, playing cards or just having a cup of coffee. The swimming pool is also key attraction specially if you are lucky with weather. Breakfast is buffet with a very good mixture of Chinese and western options available.
The hotel is situated conveniently near the promenade adjacent the river, cobbled stoned shopping street and Tunxi old street. But the best of all for us was Jerry, he personally guided us to visit some village nearby and also help with the Mountain tour suggestions. The staff also help us with some suggestions to eat local food nearby. So we definitely recommend staying in this beautifully designed hotel with friendly staff and service in English and Chinese.
