A lovely hotel. Very clean, very spacious, and very “new” feeling. HOWEVER, the real reason to come here, is to meet ANTONIO who was cooking the made-to-order omelettes for breakfast the day I stayed. Rarely have I met a young man more professional, kind, spirited, uplifting, friendly, and helpful. And his omelette was amazing. But the omelette isn’t what’s really amazing about him, it’s the person he is. If everyone who worked in hospitality was as wonderful as Antonio, traveling would be a joy! He should train everyone in the hospitality industry!

The service is really great here as well as the cleanliness. The room is really spacious, it does not feel cramp like other motels/ hotels I have been to. Another thing I liked about this place is that on the third floor there is a guest laundry room where you go use the machines for a certain amount of quarters and you have to bring your own detergent. Because of COVID-19 they serve breakfast in paper bags which are available in between 6 - 9AM, said breakfast is a banana, bottle of water, and a NutriGrain bar. Overall, the stay here in Springhill Suties was really great everyone was frinedly and efficient, next time I comeback to Lexington I will for definitely book at this place again.

Not worth the aggravation or your money! Unless they do a clean sweep at the front desk and make sure they treat all guest as a priority I wouldn’t bother. Unprofessional and need race relations training. Only valuable employee is the night auditor which is a very nice Latina woman. She broker her neck to make sure I was taken care of. The others could care less about my comfort at that hotel. When I got of the elevator each morning they would turn their heads and not speak. I cut my stay and move to a luxury corporate lodging apartment.

Overall, a good stay but they have some work to do. Checked in on a Thursday evening and needed a physical key for my wife who didn't want to bother with downloading the app to use a digital key. Stopped at the desk and asked for a physical key. No problem...just asked for the room number and gave my wife the key. Didn't ask for a name. Didn't ask for ID. Just handed over the key. Ever hear of Erin Andrews Hampton?? Inexcusable. She did provide 2 good restaurant suggestions within walking distance so that was good. The other issue with this property is the lack of customer service. A simple good morning goes a long way when away from home. Not here. We did get a very brief greeting our first morning at the breakfast. The next 2 mornings, nothing. It seems the staff have no issue sitting in the breakfast area with the guests, chatting loudly with their co-workers each morning. Not to sound like old man Simpson, but back in my day of working in hotels, that would NEVER be allowed by management. Guess times have changed. Breakfast was the usual ”free” breakfast...powdered eggs (looked like to me), waffle maker, toaster with bread and bagels. Oatmeal, cereal, the usual vat of hard boiled eggs...yuck. Nothing to write home about. The pool looked nice but was chilly during our stay so didn't use the pool area. They do have a rather large fitness room with a Peloton which I was surprised at. Lots of dumbells, benches and various treadmill and I think ellipticals. Overall, the stay was fine. Bed was comfortable, rates were OK. We were there for the Spring Horse Show at the Kentucky Horse Park. Next time, we will stay on the Northern side of the 4 circle closer to the park. All of Lexington is very busy so would be preferable to be closer to the park.

The most pleasant hotel stay on our roadtrip! This hotel was quiet (yet not very far from I-75), easy to check into, clean, updated and had a plentiful & uncrowded breakfast. We would definitely return! One caveat - the pool is outdoors and only open seasonally.

Pre-pandemic, my family had stayed at the location multiple times for our weekend getaways to Lexington; however, we will not be staying again. I had to sign a document that there would be no smoking in the room. No problem, I’ll gladly do that. Then entering our room the smell of stale smoke would choke you. The cigarette burns on the comforter & desk were a less than nice touch. I then tried to turn on the AC, which didn’t work….the seal on the mini fridge was broken, the mold in the shower was horrible. I generally never complain, but this was tough. I went to the front desk & informed the employee the AC was not working, nor the fridge & the room had a pungent odor. Without saying a word or acknowledging the issues, I was handed a card for another room & told “I can put you in 1%#.” We promptly moved into a room where the AC worked, but that was the only issue that was resolved. Unfortunately, we just cut our trip short. It was miserable & we could only tolerate 1 night. Our clothes smelled & we just felt nasty. This used to be a decent place. Never extravagant, but clean. Also, it used to feel much safer. I was outside & a guy walked out of his room & urinated at the trash can. I hate to say the place is “sketchy,” but it’s sketchy & not the place for anyone. Much less a family. When we decided to leave, I went to turn in my key. The receptionist set up is like a jail. I’ve never been to jail, but that’s how I imagine it. Anyway, the receptionist asked about the stay & informed me I could not get a refund. I don’t have money to throw away, but I would have paid to not stay any longer. I informed her of the hideous smell & was offered some Febreeze. I do appreciate the offer, but this property needs more than air refresher. Despite the convenience, we will not be back. Ever! now like a bail bondsman. No Lobby. Just a jail type window. I was asked

WWander03743517666We stayed 2 nights at Springhill Suites Lexington Fritz Farm. Read on for our pros and cons... (If you found this review useful, please give it a 'thumbs-up'. Thx!) Pros: -Only 5 months old when we stayed there. Modern, clean and new! -Located next to a large newer ***** mall with shopping and dining, easily walkable from the hotel. -Free outdoor (uncovered) parking -Complimentary breakfast of typical hotel breakfast buffet items like oatmeal, plain yogurt, bagels, juice, cold cereals, scrambled eggs, coffee. -Large breakfast seating area off the lobby with TVs. -Gym -Indoor pool (It was COLD, but the front desk said they had a person coming to fix the temperature). -Water bottle fountain fill-up station -Friendly staff -Room featured large TV, iron/board, walk-in closet, desk, hair dryer, microwave, fridge. -Pump bottles of shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in the shower. -Half hour drive to Pleasant Hill Shaker Village -Twenty minutes to Camp Nelson Nat'l Monument Cons: -Outside of Lexington -Thin walls -- both nights we could hear kids in the rooms on either side. You'd think being so new, they'd build a hotel with thicker walls. -Weak shower -No complimentary drinks in the lobby -Despite being only 5 months old, things were starting to show some wear, particularly around the bottom of the shower. -Barn door on bathroom -- never a favorite feature. You could have the door open or closed, but not half way. We would stick a tray behind the door to lodge it halfway at night. Barn doors are never very sound proof either. :) -I found the bed a little firm. -Lots of traffic surrounding the area. Some slight road noise in our room. If you found this review useful, please give it a 'thumbs-up'. Thx!
FFiveBigBlueLakesEmbassy Suites always impresses with their spacious and thoughtfully designed layouts, and this hotel is no exception. The wide-open spaces on every floor create a welcoming atmosphere without feeling cluttered. Just walking in makes you feel special, almost like a VIP. Our room was spotless, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. I genuinely wish we could have stayed more than one night. The entire property has a lovely, comfortable, and safe vibe, which we absolutely loved. The reason I'm only giving four stars is due to the experience we had with the front desk staff. Unfortunately, the gentleman at the front desk did not make us feel welcome, and front desk employees are often the first impression of the property. I had already completed a digital check-in, but when I arrived at the desk, I was struggling with the app due to a phone call interruption. I mentioned that I might need help, but he didn't acknowledge me. I stood there for about five minutes, waiting for my husband to come in from parking the car. I made a casual remark about how nice the hotel was, but he only glanced at me without responding. While I don’t expect a red carpet treatment, basic politeness and a simple greeting would have gone a long way in setting a positive tone. Additionally, the bar area was crowded, and the manager's reception was in full swing, but there was only one server/bartender. After waiting 10 minutes to place a drink and food order, we decided to leave and dine at Palmer's, located right behind the hotel. Despite these two issues, we would definitely stay here again. It's a beautiful property, wonderfully maintained, and in a great location.
This is an aging, tired property that's in need of serious maintenance upgrade and major renovation. Its location is the only plus for staying here as it is within walking distance to nearby major big box stores, restaurants, and a shopping mall. But even if this is concern for a traveler, just next door, there is another newer hotel of another major hotel chain. Unfortunately, physical condition of the building isn't the only problem. Upon checking in, I had to call the front desk before even unpacking to request a bunch of missing items that one would find neatly laid out at any other hotel. Housekeeping visits the rooms on every four days. On my second day, as I was leaving the hotel I asked the front desk to have new towels delivered to my room. Upon my return I did find the fresh towels alright but I also found out that all of my snacks that I left on the kitchen table were gone. An unopened box of popcorn, an unopened bag of nuts and a few more items. No, they could not be confused as trash because they were in their original packaging neatly arranged on the table. Front desk's reply to my inquiry was ”I don't know why they would do that”. The next morning another front desk staff member's answer was even more interesting: ”I will check the safe in the back to see if they locked your snacks for safe keeping”. Yet again unfortunately, on another day, after I accidentally spilled coffee on my bed sheet and asked for housekeeping, the response I got at the front desk was ”well, let me see if they can get to your room today, no guarantees though”. This is more of an answer that one would get from a prison warden to fix a leaky faucet in one's cell; not an answer that one should get from a hotel staff whose major business is in the hospitality industry. Breakfast is mediocre at best. If you are vegetarian, then you are stuck with cereal and yogurt essentially. Everyday, their egg-based breakfast items had ham. This is indeed puzzling to me. Why doesn't the hotel management realize that a typical meat eating guest can still get a satisfying breakfast with, say, a cheese omelette accompanied by bacon strips, sausages and so on. But when even the only omelette has added ham in it, there isn't much a vegetarian can do there. So, all in all, my recommendation is to look at the map where this hotel is. You will see the other hotel on the same street just next door to this one. Go reserve a room there. You will thank me for it :)
球球球fayeThe hotel is very close to the airport, everything should be available, the facilities and equipment are perfect, the hotel rooms are relatively old, the others are good, the service is also very good, is a good choice
GGuest UserGreat place to stay for a cheap overnight stay. Only crummy part was our door key didn’t work trying to get into our room on the 3rd floor and we had to make multiple trips to the front desk with non working keys before they decided to switch our room. Kinda tiring after a long day of driving. Everything was wonderful other than that. Lots of food options and gas stations around.
Nn2tires6Clearly, this location had been in bad shape. They have made efforts to renovate some and I give them credit for that. But new carpet new paint new tile mixed with nasty wall plates, light switches, and window treatments was unsavory. Expect to work in order to get enough towels and washcloths as my room had none and the front desk had to go searching for these items. Once I did get wash cloths, they will be on the useful life. The pillows in my room should’ve been thrown out during Obama’s last term. Would I stay here again? Yes but I hope that they go further with the renovations and cleaning the property up.
GGuest UserThis is a clean pet friendly hotel close to the highway. Our room was spacious and very clean. The staff we met, Joyce and Kim were so friendly and sweet. They truly made you feel welcome and at home. We will definitely stay there again if we pass through Lexington. Thank you everyone for giving us such a nice experience.
GGuest UserWe stayed here just overnight to sleep while traveling. I received friendly service here. The room was run down and smelled of cigarettes badly even though we had a non-smoking room. Wouldn't recommend unless it was the last choice available.
